Thank you so much! I have never seen anything like it either and I know how useful it would have been when I was newer!

Hi! Do you have any tips for seat racing? Also how do you know when to make your power calls?

    Hi Cat.
What is your suggestion with an 8 that's really not balanced?
The problem we think is at the catch.

There are so many things that it could be, and definitely a coach will be able to help diagnose the problem if you tell them what you feel. It’s likely about dropping the hands right before the catch or lunging right at the catch. My next video I can do about diagnosing potential problems in the boat!

@@CoxTalksbyCatSheffler That would be a big help, we are just getting back as a men's 8 and we can't really work on speed till we get the balance right.

It isn't clear to me what ratio refers to.

Ratio is the duration of the drive vs the recovery
e.g. a 1:2 ratio means the recovery is twice as long as the drive.
Typically, a ratio problem means the rowers are rushing their recovery. So when she's talking about "lengthening out" or "slower here", she wants the rowers to take longer in the recovery while keeping the drive the same.
