- Chet pays Onni the baby cockatoo a visit. Chet tried the blanket trick on Onni and Onni not only had zero reaction but he had it figured out. You can't tell by the angle but Chet is awesome at the trick. I was amazed that Onni wasn't puzzled for one second. An African Grays' intelligence and problem solving abilities have proven to be as high as a 4 year old humans' in many cases. In measuring a cockatoos intelligence, experts have said that they equal that of a 3 year old.
WRONG. Emotional level up to a 3 year old, COGNITIVE ability up to an EIGHT year old human.

Rebecca, the latest I read was that the emotional level of 'toos are like a human 3 yr. old. However, the cognitive ability has now been clocked at that of an 8 year old! A toddler that can reason like an older child. Yikes! They are now ranked above dogs and below dolphins. We are just on the verge of understanding these wonderful animals. Such fun seeing Onni & Chet again.

Cockatoo Luck LOL!!! Wow, so he was smart too. Chet did this to his dog and omg. He froze. And was so confused. He sat there and stared at where chet stood and finally got up to look for him. It was great. He freaked out.

I have been afraid of bigger birds because there beaks are bigger then any smllaer bird i have owned. I wanted to let yall know I LOVE ONNI and he has changed my view on being afraid! Wow, hopefully you will adopt that large bird soon. You need to watch other videos about Onni. Rebecca and family are very open and honest about Onni. He does bite occasionally, all birds, large and small, bite. Onni has made me want a large bird too. He is so adorable, how could you resist an opportunity to live with an Onni Bird?
