I'm blessed to live only 4 miles from this wonder over in Kimberly, Idaho! I go there year-round and it never gets old. I've even been there when it's snowing 🌨!!!!
Wow, this place just got on my bucket list.
We went there over summer....wish we could go down closer to the falls!

How am i just now hearing about this!?! Theres so much stupid crap on tv, this is the kind of content that should be televised.
Because they don't really tell you the true historyjust like they say the Grand canyon is the deepest River gorge in North America but it ain't it's hells canyon and Idaho you can Google it and check it out Idaho is one of the most beautiful states in the United States of America
This is beautiful....
Niagara Falls fails in comparison to Shoshone falls when it is in full bloom!! An amazing sight to see! Idaho is a wonderful state to live in.
0:21 Thousand Springs for most of my life this waterfall was home I still live in the area but have since relocated to Bliss but I still make the pilgrimage to the falls when ever I head to Buhl to make a pick up.
been there and it's gorgeous!
My next trip is Montana and Idaho. Been to the dakotas and Wyoming and fell in love. Idiot free places.
I been there a few time this is one of the great wonders of Idaho
I'll never make a 'there's nothing in Idaho' joke again.
I live in twin falls idaho very amazing place gotta say that
Shoshone Falls this majestic waterfall is the artist that carved The Snake millions of years ago. every day millions of gallons of water tumble over the falls and into the canyons below forming The Snake as it heads to the sea. Some times the falls run dry the reason is farmers are diverting the water into the Twin Falls Canal 18 miles upstream at Millner Dam.
AMAing , love to go there
Been there, yep, fantastic. Specially if you read the geological story of the falls.
Can't wait too go next month
I am going in June for 7 days.............Boise......never been there..can't wait
nice, their new york cousin. great big land to new york?
I love the music , what is the name of it
I wish I knew :( the music in these short videos is always so beautiful
Amazing 😮
and this is how my home state went popular 😌😌
🤫 we need to spread rumors far and wide that the water is radioactive and keep our little slice of heaven a secret.
Lest we run the risk of more Californians moving here.
“200 years later” wait... what? The water is stuck underground for 200 years?
Yes. the water flows underground for 200 years. that's it.
Poor Niagara Falls! People are always saying this or that waterfall is "taller than Niagara". Big deal. Niagara's fame comes not from its height, but from the tremendous volume of water flowing over its brink. Before 1952, when power plants diverted the flow, it was twice what it is today! Niagara is still impressive, despite the commercial development all around it. Just don't expect to have to strain your neck to see the top of it. It's only about as tall as a 16 story building, but you will be awed by the depth and speed of the river. if you want to get petty about it, Shoshone Falls can't say it has a brink that's 2,000 feet long like the Horseshoe Falls of Niagara, but It's still beautiful, in its own way, and unexpected in Idaho's parched high desert land.
Also: Niagara Falls is a true falls with a straight drop - not like many falls that are steep rapids or a series of step falls.
I want to be there now
The best way to see,by air.
No, from underneath. You can canoe or paddle board from downstream right up to the base of the falls.
The pollution from those fisheries are destroying the purity of the river.
Is there a reason why Idaho is censored from all major media. This is the billionaires playground and I think they want to keep it that way honestly
Yes many very wealthy people have homes in Jackson Hole, Southern Montana, and Eastern Idaho. Pretty much surrounding Yellowstone National Park.
Hello from Ukraine
Beautiful canyon land. Kinda sad that there is farmland all around
Lars...that farmland is what makes it so special! You'd never know there was a waterfall hidden in the canyon!
I really doubt your claim for salmon spawning up to Shoshene falls. Salmon return to where they were born. There is no way salmon could have been born above the falls. So POOR REPORTING.
There are so many waterfalls taller than Niagara. It's only 100 ft ish tall. It's the width that makes it impressive. I love how this video makes the hatchery seem like an impressive feat, while the only reason for it is all the effing damns. Poor job smithsonian.
Isn't it pronounced Sho-SHONE-ee?
ROGER2095 it's just shuh-shone
ROGER2095 it’s pernouced sho-shone
Can I get married there?
It really is time to breach the Snake River dams and restore the once-impressive salmon runs!!
I really enjoy the electricity in my house right now, so could we not? Or we can fire back up the INL reactors if we agree to sever our power source? I'm very much a man of the 21st century and need electricity. Haha
I grew up close to Shoshone Falls. This video sucks!!!
Why? Just wondering.
