    And as far as darker leaves, u want less light. Then the plant will think it needs to photosynthesize more and put out darker growth. Less light will make the green on prayer plants darker green. That's what I have found out :)

    I've actually found that the leaves on my marantas turn darker over time. I haven't yet figured out if you can get the new leaves to come out darker though🤔 I would definitely be interested in that experiment because I prefer the darker leaves too😍

    I just cut my syngonium mojito up as well! I kept the bottom, no leaves at all, and it's got three new growth points activated! So definitely keep the bottom of the plant! And even the bad leaves, the nodes are still able to grow without leaves!! Prop all of them. I did some with no leaves and put them in prop box with spag moss. All have roots and new growth!
    And yes, syngonium need watered alot more then ppl think! My albo is once a week minimum! Or I see the white start to turn brown. But they root so fast, and fill their pots so fast, they drink the water up super quick! I love syngonium!! Them and Hoya and all pothos genus are my faves!!

    I love your videos! Your plant care is more realistic like I would use in my home. Plus you get yellow leaves and dead plants just like I do. Thanks for honestly sharing your plant care and helping with solutions to improve my knowledge of plants.

    I have the more common syngoniums, and water them frequently. They are growing well, and I give them more light than I used to.

    I'm wondering if higher nitrogen levels in a fertilizer would lead to darker green leaves? I remember reading about how vital nitrogen is for chlorophyll formation. Lovely video as always

    How does your Maranta’s do so well? How? I have watched your videos and I need help. Seriously. And you’re just giving your plants a “drink” when you water? And you don’t mind if your plants leafs touch 🤔 I thought that’s how peats spread.

    A have a Sensation Peace Lilly also and it wants to stay very wet all the time or else its leaves start drooping. It is the one plant I cannot use a moisture meter on.

    • @RootingMindfully
      @RootingMindfully  2 года назад

      I just keep it moist and it has done well

    • @glennacrabtree7788

      @@RootingMindfully Mine was wilting and it registered a 7on the moisture meter. I was confused. I watered it anyways. It sprang back up. Now I just soak it when I see the top leaves starting to lower. It is doing very well. I love the Peace Lillies they give me no problems what so ever. Same with the Agleonemas. However, my heart is changing with some of the Prayer Plants. They are beautiful but I get on the struggle bus with pests they attract. I do have a Triostar that is getting huge and has been very easy for me. Im not giving up on them yet tho.

      I have a burgundy, and it can take being in the hot Texas sun for a few hrs at a time if you GRADUALLY acclimate it.It really loves the light, and is a pretty fast grower.
      I cut it back recently bc it had gotten so heavy, too heavy to lift. I love the plant and hated to cut it. However, it already has some tiny leaves budding out just a few days after the cut.
