  • Humza Yousaf, Kate Forbes and Ash Regan - the three people vying to replace the dominant figure in Scottish politics Nicola Sturgeon.
Her decision to step down has thrown the Scottish National Party into turmoil - the candidates attacking each other, and their own record in government, key party positions on how to deliver independence being trashed and the whole reputation of the SNP as a party of progressive politics and equality up for debate.
We host a debate with consequences for the whole United Kingdom.

@@ScottishRoss27 yep NHS staff are better paid than rUK that's a fact which is why in my service we see so many english clinicians here taking jobs our own grads are applying for, which I have no issue with Id rather have experienced staff from elsewhere doing the job than inexperienced staff who have benefitted from a free degree without any realisation of what the job will involve or competence in carrying it out. However our strike mandate still holds. Strikes were postponed when a new deal was proposed. My union rejected the offer but the other 2 unions (divide and rule) accepted which saw the proposal adopted despite our rejection of it. It's not about the wages though it's about service delivery. Every stat thats highlighted to the health secretary sees a response of its worse in England and Wales. That's no excuse for not listening to your frontline staff for 15 years. Nicola when health secretary visited my workplace and was warned about the strain and was even given an invite to do a shift with us to witness it herself which she rejected and was never seen again at my workplace. Yousef doesn't respond to emails and is completely absent. Even in union meetings his ataff missthe point. I have voted to accept the 22/23 offer as its fair but we are still waiting for a resolution to the rest of our concerns beyond pay which affect our patients. He keeps coming back with "pandemic" but these concerns have been made since around 2005. Again it's a "not as bad as them" argument which isn't good enough and I'm a former party member who left due to the complete naivety and ignorance around defence when the white paper was being drawn prior to 2014. Westminster is a corrupt and incompetent cabal but this doesn't excuse a Holyrood party in power for so long from criticism. We have funds somewhere that haven't been accounted for and (in the NHS) were told early on in union meetings there was no money left for our demands and yet they found some money to cover both an increase and back dated settlement?

I noticed years ago that all the elite in England were moving to America and becoming citizens because they knew this was going to happen. So lets face it, the rest of us are fucked. Islam has already got a grip of the nation. The UK was bamboozled, London is it's own thing they do not care about the people around it. So even though Scotland is mess you need to take a closer look to home. Watch this documentary and you'll see what the UK and US had planned, they want the EU broken up because it would become the worlds biggest millitary and it would have the highest GDP. Regardless of what people think white people don't run the world, there was a power shift and the US pivoted to the middle east. Trump signed the Abraham accords and gave them peace basically for the 3 main religions to put their foot down and come together because they don't like the way the world was going, these are the people who call themselves the faithful and they have so much money they can change world politics in heartbeat. Covid 19 was man made and it was used to kill off the weakly or else the vaccines done that, from what I've seen up here people are dropping dead constantly and there's not much reporting on it. The number of white people is about to diminish in the UK. We can already see were things are going, a young boy charged for dropping the Quran? Now all these religious politicians making their way to the top throughout Europe? Watch the documentary US and UK are in cahoots but the UK sold its own people out and now all the elite scientists and so on have fled to the US.

Kate Forbes talks a very good game and she stands out as the best communicator of them all. The puritan side would dog her though and potentially undermine wider support in my opinion.
Humza is continuity candidate but I think he's struggling to sound like he has what it takes to take it forward to independence, and that's where he's most vulnerable to attacks from the other two. This world gets more complex by the minute and responsibility for the larger picture needs to be shared - it is not fair to expect one person to shoulder the weight of multifaceted decision making anymore - we need a New Way of doing things and this would be one.
