I don’t want to seem like I’m forcing you, but you should give his books a try. The first Percy Jackson books may be more child oriented but his books are ALL worth reading 📚
Percy Jackson meant everything to me as a kid. It was the first time I saw myself through a character and understood that my ADHD wasn't something to be ashamed of.
I am rediscovering my inner Rick Riordan fan girl rn. Started rereading the Percy Jackson books, every single one is better than the last, really looking forward to reading more of his series as soon as I finish Percy Jackson!
I so highly recommend you to ! Although the fandom isn't really THAT small... but us pjo / hoo fans are so happy whenever somoen new enters our fandom and discovers and loves the books ..... if you liked percy Jackson you will absolutely adore the heroes of Olympus wich is a direct sequel 😊 welcome and enjoy
hi! ive got a question for Six of Crows.. did you know anything about Grisha Trilogy before you read it? Like did you do some some reads before you read Six of Crows? Cause I recently just picked up Six of Crows but i’m quite confused of the concept
@@kirsten6930 honestly you don't have to read the grisha trilogy first, since I read six of crows before the grisha trilogy and still managed to understand what was happening. But the magic systems do overlap so if you want some background info and not be thrown off by it all then you should try reading the grisha trilogy first.
@@jasminebarbie647 😅I read chapter one four times over a month and then I read the whole rest of the book in three hours flat. Honesty nearly didn't read it after the first chapter, and then things sped up to this amazing breakneck pace and I can confidently say it's one of my favorites now. But really, maybe it's just not appealing to you. Happens.
I personally loved Rick Riordans Percy Jackson series- it was such a riveting, adventurous series as a whole. I have The Invisible life of addie la rue on my TBR for next month and I can't wait to read it. I bought A darker shade of Magic recently but haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
A huge Rick Riordan fan here ! He keeps getting better and better and better, totally agree with you. Six of crows is on my tbr ...I’m reading the grisha trilogy right now for the complete experience but I totally think sic of crows could easily be a 5 star read.
I just finished Jade City a few days ago. It deserves the hype. 100% warranted! Now, I'm trying to read other books and they just aren't hitting the way Jade City did.
I have the best memory of being on vacation 2 years ago and sitting outside for an entire afternoon binging Six of Crows and loosing. my. mind. I love that story so much ;-;
Hi, I'm a video game, music and trading card nerd and randomly got recommended this video. I recognize and respect the nerdyness present in this video, will continue to watch. It's endearing to see you describe things you enjoy. That's really cute.
Ugh I literally recommend Six of Crows to everyone! So approachable for new readers too because only a Duology so not too intimidating! (but like if you love it move onto the Grisha Trilogy)
Never been this early! I have been wanting to read Mistborn for YEARS, and I don't know why I haven't picked it up yet! (well, the size might have something to do with it 😅) Also, your description of ADSOM is on point!
Mistborn is definitely worth the hype! I procrastinated it forever because I'm stubborn and don't like reading hyped books but it's now one of my favorites.
The Starless Sea totally lived up to the hype for me. I had loved The Night Circus and I was so excited for The Starless Sea, but I was worried it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Thank goodness it did!
Percy Jackson was the first book I bought with my savings as a middle schooler and was the first book that makes me enjoy reading. On a side note, I’m a huge fan of Rick Riordan‘s works
Completely agree with Mistborn living up to the hype. I read "The Final Empire" for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. Outside of J.R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin, I sometimes find it differcult to get into epic fantasy books, especially I've picked up more than a few that I really couldn't get on with, where they felt like a poor man's Tolkien and/or the author is more concerned with world-building and exposition than character stuff. But Mistborn was different. It was exciting, had great world-building but also interesting characters, and I loved the magic system. I'm officially onboard the Brandon Sanderson hype train!
I'm currently reading Six of Crows, I must be honest that I struggled in the first half of the book for its pacing, but the second part gets better, so far I have like it, hope I get to love it at the end. Also I'm looking forward to read A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy and An Ember in the Ashes. Thank you for the recommendations!!! 😊
@@angeliebonifacio6741 I'm trying to read them in order and I don't have the second but I can't wait to read Home Before Dark! Everyone is making it sound so good!
@@angeliebonifacio6741 yeah, I'm mostly doing that cause I've heard they get better with each book and I have any it so many time I've read the most recent book then read the backlist and am disappointed.😂 Ruth Ware's the turn of the key ruined me for her backlist!
@@Booklover90 well i enjoyed the turn of the key but disliked her in a dark dark wood. Riley sager's book are good but i can say that my least favorite of his is final girls
An Ember in the Ashes is a series that I love and can read again and again! I read every book in one sitting and every book gives me pain in a good way that when I finished a book, it left me speechless for a while of how good it was. It's hyped but weirdly, I want people to hype it even more XD
1.The Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones and the six. I'm so excited for Taylor Jenkins Reid's new book. 2. Cassandra Clare's books are worth the hype. When you get through The Mortal Instruments you are in for a treat. 3. Scythe 4. Rick Riordan. I picked up the books in High school because of Booktube. I had read The first three books in middle school but fell in love with his books on the second round!
Thank you for another great list! Your vlogs got me out of my slump again. When I start binging them even if I have seen them before, that’s when I know I’m on the right track. Will have to read Poppy War soon, it sounds so intriguing. I have to recommend you something I don’t think you have read yet which is a fantastic fantasy story with wonderful poetic writing and characters you love and hate. Every time I hear you talk about fantasy I just think of this series. I have listened to it more times than I can remember. It just keepse coming back. I feel like rather than being hyped it is underhyped, particularly on booktube. But it is a very very good fantasy series. Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey. Always thank you for all the great book content. There’s no one who can make me so excited about books and reading as you can :)
I love the mistborn series and everything else by Brandon Sanderson (Bridge Four for life)!! right now im reading the rage of dragons by Evan Winter and omgg its like attack on titan and game of thrones had a baby i love it
whenever I haven't read books in a long time, i always find myself coming back to YOUR videos over the years. i started watching you when i was 13, and now i'm 19, almost 20. kinda crazy! i just hold your opinion highly and you're the reason why i started reading fantasy and started really enjoying to the point that it's now my favorite genre. keep doing this! love you ❤️
I love six of crows!!! And I’m scared for the last book of Ember but SO ready for it! Alsoooo, have you read From Blood and Ash & A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire??? It’s my new obsession. Hahaha!
A man called over by Frederick backman I didn't hear everyone talking about it at once. All the review I heard were saying how great it was. I loved it
Currently reading the Percy Jackson series for the first time ever, 3 books in and its great even if I’m older than the target age now! Especially impressive when you take into account I’m not great with continuing series
I too read the Poppy War and The Dragon Republic and loved them. I can’t wait to get my hands on The Burning God. The one hyped book that I’m so glad I have picked up is The Eye of the World. I’m so excited to continue the Wheel of Time
Mistborn is seriously helping me get through this pandemic right now. I’ve never read an epic fantasy that made me feel this way, it has everything I could ever want 💕
All of these are on my TBR! I plan to finally start reading the Cosmere in 2021, and have joined a readalong. I am so excited to get to the Mistborn series. So many people have such wonderful things to say about it. I have read a little Percy Jackson in the past, and enjoyed it. Then, life got in the way. I hope to pick it up again in the future. Thanks for sharing this :)
Call me basic, but SJM's books do the trick for me. They are incredibly hyped and they deliver. The way she evolves the story and the characters is so wonderful. You say SJM and I'm in. But yes Ember is equally wonderful, Mistborn deserves all the hype it gets, The Name of The Wind too, and of course of course: Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones!
Totally agree with your observations on The Final Empire / Mistborn in general! Sanderson is a fave of mine too and whenever I see him mentioned in someone's video I always pop down to the comments to cheer. :D What's a book that lived up to the hype, for me? Addie LaRue. It's my favourite read of 2020 (pending the release of Rhythm of War). I adored it, adored its themes, characters and how Addie informed the story. It was beautiful and AH. I just want everyone to read it hahaha! Edit: I saw Eliot Brooks call Kaz (from Six of Crows) an edgelord in a recent video of hers and I agree wholeheartedly. Had a good chuckle! I loved the duology but that description was so on point I had to laugh. :P
100% agree on final empire (or anything from brandon Sanderson really), and darker shade of magic, six of crows, ember in the ashes. Some others for me: the invisible life of addie larue, ninth house, name of the wind, night circus, seven husbands of evelyn hugo, daisy jones and the 6, and a guilty pleasure, Cassie Claire's books lol. Cant wait to read poppy war and jade city.
Six of crows was very good but a little bit under my expectations, I kinda expected it to be the best thing ever. I also liked Crooked Kingdom more even though it messed me up lol
Ughh i just love your channel and content. Since we have aligning thoughts in books i always love hearing your recommendations. Ill have to check out a few of these i haven't read yet
Every time I hear someone rave about the Mistborn trilogy I get a little sad that I didn't feel that way. It took me ages to get through the first book and it put me in a reading sleep and I had no desire whatsoever to pick up the rest of the trilogy. It obviously just isnt the right book for me. I do love his Skyward series though. I have been working my way through Rick Riordan's books. I had read the Percy Jackson series years ago but this year i re-read them and then keep going in that universe. I am currently on The House of Hades.
Hi, I just found your channel! Because of you I'm giving Trials of Apollo another chance haha. I read the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus so I was really excited with Trials of Apollo, but the first chapters weren't captivating for me especially when Percy left (I guess I still want him to be around) and that's when I dropped the book. But as you said, the story is still really good so I'll start over.
We seem to have similar taste! I also enjoyed the Percy Jackson series and Six of Crows, so I'm planning on reading the other books mentioned in this video!
Currently reading the third Shades of Magic book and loving the series! Since I've finished the first two I've read some of the criticism for it, and luckily I don't have the same feelings about the series as some other reviewers do. Worth the hype for me!
If I can add some contemporary books to the list, in my opinion Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, Felix Ever After, You Should See Me in a Crown, and Red White and Royal Blue all definitely lived up to the hype to me!!
rick riordan is literally the best author in history, his concepts, DIVERSITY, knowledge and humour allows everyone that reads his books to fall in love with the worlds and characters. also, his knowledge in religions and sexualities, you can tell he isnt afraid to explore different topics and ideas that most authors would avoid. he is also so well educated and genuinely knowledgable towards the mythology and evolution of greece as well as making the characters grow and evolve. also, most books that are somewhat similar to ricks books, portray the protagonist as a perfect hero that makes no mistakes and always has courage and is never scared, here you see that the main protagonists arent always perfect and they make many mistakes but their value for friendship and family keeps them going. i love love love rick riordans books.
I for sure agree with Rick Riordan, Six of Crows, and An Ember in the Ashes, they’re all so fantastic ❤️ (I haven’t read the other ones yet but I swear I will!) I would also add to the list The Lunar Chronicles, The Infernal Devices, The Raven Cycle, The Hate U Give, and All the Light We Cannot See!
Yep, yep and yep. I absolutely agree with all the ones I’ve read and all the rest are on my tbr. I treasure your reccomendations. I’ve found some incredible series from you. Six of crows is on my desk waiting for me, currently. Just gotta finish up the city we became :)
I just finished Six of Crows and I'm so sad that I didn't love it. I really wanted to. It wasn't a bad read but it wasn't a 5 star for me. I have Poppy War on my tbr bases solely on your recommendation. Haha
Same! I don't think I've ever been so sad about disliking a book :( everyone seems to love it so much, I can kind of see why, but it didn't do it for me.
Personally, I love A Darker Shade of Magic but I felt the second book in that series blew the first one out of the water in terms of intrigue. I can't say the same for Mistborn as the further I get from that first book the less likely I am to continue that series, I just don't appreciate the lack of believable female perspective (yes, the main character is female but I have trouble believing she is from a people that are systematically raped and a one page conversation with someone participating is the only talk about said she needed to have).
I haven't read Riordan since Percy Jackson, I should try the Apollo series since you recommend it:) I've already added Jade City to my TBR on your recommendation from a previous video and I can't wait to get to it.
Same here, Mistborn got too political for me and soon I stopped caring about the characters. I did finish the series but I wasn't really marvelled by the twist or anything. Of course this is only in the Brandon Sanderson level. In a normal book level I would give it a 4 stars
I soooo recommend The Poet X. It’s in entirely in verse (short poems, haiku) and in the slam poet style. It sounds weird but it tackles race, sexuality, poverty and religion in the style of a teenage girl living in Harlem New York.
Great selection of books! 😊 I totally agree with you on The Poppy War, Jade City and DSOM. I love them very much. I just read The Way of Kings and immediately after that Words of Radiance and oh man, does those books deserve the hype! Absolutely amazing experience reading this series! 😊👌

I agree with you on a number of these recommendations...Mistborn, Ember in the Ashes. I’m definitely in the minority of those that just didn’t get the hype around Six of Crows. This book and I just didn’t get along. I do feel that since I didn’t read Grisha Trilogy, that really impacted by level of enjoyment. I felt I was missing big elements to a larger story.

I'm currently reading The Poppy War!! I was nervous about going into this one because I've heard people say that it includes gods and books with god characters usually don't keep my interest (so far, I have DNFed all books I have tried to read with god characters), but so far, I am enjoying this one. I think it's because none of the main characters ARE gods/part god. They are more in the background of the story. If that some how changes though . . . I don't know.

Out of all the books you've mentioned. I've read poppy war and six of crows and I totally agree, both are such amazing books. Reading Poppy war I couldn't figure out the love interest, that added a fun concept to it. Overall, the writing, concept and the beginning set up at the school just made me want to keep reading and it was my first adult fantasy. As for mistborn series, its on my TBR but I've read some negative reviews so I'm a little hesitant to pick it up. After watching this video, I really want to read Jade City. Not too sure about the others.
like what the heck is wrong with dislikes how can some subscribe and turn on notification just to dislike it like maybe 1 min later , and in addition how can some hate a video about books📖📚 ,if you dont like books or the content then simply cilck out .period..... personaly i will just keep liking your videos and every booktubers just to piss them off and to motivate you😘👌
I couldn’t get into Trials of Apollo 😅. PJO is one of my favorite series and has been since I first read it a decade ago, but TOA didn’t do it for me. I did buy the Hidden Oracle recently to give it another try, but I just found Apollo a really unlikable main character.
Wow seeing you write “a decade ago” made me feel old because I also read it about a decade ago🥺. Though I just read PJ, HoO and Kane chronicles. I started magnus chase book 1 but I just didn’t finished it... huh maybe I should catch up on uncle ricks thousands of books 😂
@@Susan-qn9rf I’ve only read 2 of the magnus chase books, but I should read the third! Also it’s crazy how long it’s been. I remember what got me into the books was seeing the movie and telling my friend how awesome it was. She looked at me in disgust and said the books were way better so I read them 😂 that def changed my opinion of the film lol
I feel like Skyhunter by Marie Lu isn’t getting the attention it deserves! It’s an amazing book and I don’t understand why no one is talking about it. I enjoyed your video and can’t wait to pick up some of these suggestions!
a book that I personally think was EXTREMELY overhyped was the hunger games. I found it repetitive and quite boring because katniss just did the same thing every chapter, or maybe encountered another death but it just wasn't interesting and I do not understand why ppl love it so much.
the fact that Rick Riordan is known colloquially as Uncle Rick just points to how much we all love him and his work
Why does Uncle Rick lowkey sound like the name of the creepy uncle of the family?
My actual uncle Rick is a weird dude.
But unkie rick did us dirty tho
@@EksVideoJournal How?
Regan: who HASN'T read Rick Riordan?
Me: *slowly raises hand while trying to look away
Totally fine!! Completely reasonable! Also they are really good so if you do decide to read them I high recommend!
me too lol
Same, I will tho... one day
I don’t want to seem like I’m forcing you, but you should give his books a try. The first Percy Jackson books may be more child oriented but his books are ALL worth reading 📚
@@renjunbestestboy i wll give it try one day and this one day is soon cuz i bought some of his books recently!!!
Percy Jackson meant everything to me as a kid. It was the first time I saw myself through a character and understood that my ADHD wasn't something to be ashamed of.
♥️
It still means everything to me
And then I saw the Peter Johnson movies and was feeling murderous .
One more book that to me had HUGE hype AND lived up to it?
"The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo"
OMG YEEEEES
idk why im so intimidated by this book, i need to just pick it up already 😅
Yes!!!
I just start reading it. Really excited to stay awake til 2 am tonight to read it!
Loved it!!
I love how eloquent you speak. Your usage of “big” words does not come across as nonsense. Very to the point!
Agreed!
the fact that i have never read Brandon Sanderson is honestly a crime...
Omg definitely read some Sanderson when you get the chance. All of his books connect in his universe and it's so interesting.
Same lol I need to work on that
oohh, please do read BS. His worldbuilding and character work is amazing! Many of my top ten characters belong to his novels haha.
Definitely read his magnus chase and kane chronicles series both are amazing. Sad that we are finished with the percy jackson world.
yess rick riordan!! his stories are always interesting and are so much fun to read!
Six of Crows and An Ember in the Ashes are soo GOOD .
hi! ive got a question for Six of Crows.. did you know anything about Grisha Trilogy before you read it? Like did you do some some reads before you read Six of Crows? Cause I recently just picked up Six of Crows but i’m quite confused of the concept
@@kirsten6930 honestly you don't have to read the grisha trilogy first, since I read six of crows before the grisha trilogy and still managed to understand what was happening. But the magic systems do overlap so if you want some background info and not be thrown off by it all then you should try reading the grisha trilogy first.
@@kirsten6930 Yeah I remember being confused too, but after I did a bit of a Google search🤣It made sense and is now actually one of my favorites
I tried to read 6 of crows but I could not wrap my head around it ...its starting was so boring and I never continued reading it
@@jasminebarbie647 😅I read chapter one four times over a month and then I read the whole rest of the book in three hours flat. Honesty nearly didn't read it after the first chapter, and then things sped up to this amazing breakneck pace and I can confidently say it's one of my favorites now. But really, maybe it's just not appealing to you. Happens.
six of crows!!!!!! it's my favorite book ive ever read!! its so incredible and the plot+characters are just so amazing!!
I have this out from the library now :) I’m excited.

One book that I read because of booktube and absolutely fell in love with is 'Circe'.
I’m currently reading the last book of Mistborn. It had quickly become my second favorite series.
Yay!! Love to hear it!

@Alexandra Masella I haven’t finished the series yet.
I am only just reading Percy Jackson now😱😫!!
Your videos are brilliant by the way👍
I just finished Jade City a few days ago. It deserves the hype. 100% warranted! Now, I'm trying to read other books and they just aren't hitting the way Jade City did.
I have the best memory of being on vacation 2 years ago and sitting outside for an entire afternoon binging Six of Crows and loosing. my. mind. I love that story so much ;-;
The First Law trilogy has 100% lived up to the hype! Omg so good.
Or ant of the stand alones set in the first law world are equally as great!
Six of Crows is perfect!! That’s how I’d describe it, just PERFECT 😍
My favourite dialogue " I like to pay some down payment "😂😂😂😂 what's yours?
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue was amazing. I personally think it met the hype level and then exceeded it.
I absolutely agree!!
This! I just finished it last night and now I’ve got all the feels...
Omg yessss
I just recently got into fantasy so jumping into a trilogy like Mistborn was kind of intimidating, but it was sooo worth it. It’s one of my faves now!
The Starless Sea totally lived up to the hype for me. I had loved The Night Circus and I was so excited for The Starless Sea, but I was worried it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Thank goodness it did!
Hi there Regan! Much love to you ❤
Have a great day 😊
Also, I recently read Flowers for Algernon and hope that more people can read it 😂
Percy Jackson was the first book I bought with my savings as a middle schooler and was the first book that makes me enjoy reading.
On a side note, I’m a huge fan of Rick Riordan‘s works
i've read the entire an ember in the ashes series, and i love it...
Love to see my guy Rick Riordan get some appreciation. That dude brought me into the literature world
Love these choices and totally agree!! I still need to read the Poppy War though - too many books so little time 😫
I feel ya!!! I’m never gonna catch up haha
Have you tried the wheel of time?
@@michael305m3 No, but I really should. The sheer size of the thing has always put me off.
Oh you’re definitely gonna love an ember in the ashes! Last book comes out this year. So you’ll be able to binge :)
@@SimplySaraReads thank you!! I really hope so!!

I have read none of these lol. I really need to get it together.
3. Scythe
4. Rick Riordan. I picked up the books in High school because of Booktube. I had read The first three books in middle school but fell in love with his books on the second round!
Im not normally a fan of urban Fantasy but im really keen on reading Jade City. It's just getting universal praise atm! 😮👍
I love the mistborn series and everything else by Brandon Sanderson (Bridge Four for life)!! right now im reading the rage of dragons by Evan Winter and omgg its like attack on titan and game of thrones had a baby i love it
I read the trials of Apollo series during an emotionally low period during quarantine. The books were a wonderful escape.
That’s the one series I can’t get into, love his other stuff, but I hated TOA

A man called over by Frederick backman I didn't hear everyone talking about it at once. All the review I heard were saying how great it was. I loved it
Currently reading crocked kingdom after finishing Grisha trilogy & six of crow . Sis IT'S EPIC !
Currently reading the Percy Jackson series for the first time ever, 3 books in and its great even if I’m older than the target age now! Especially impressive when you take into account I’m not great with continuing series
Love the topic of this video! There's so many hyped books on booktube that my mental tbr is neverending 📚
my shade of magic series came yesterday! i’m sooooo EXCITED (except uni is killing me and i have no time for leisurely reading)
Interested in reading Jade City soon. The concept of consuming Jade to give you a heightened abilities reminds of Dune and the consumption of melange.
Finally a community I can be around, Yes VE Schwab I haven't read that one but I am interested in it .
I too read the Poppy War and The Dragon Republic and loved them. I can’t wait to get my hands on The Burning God. The one hyped book that I’m so glad I have picked up is The Eye of the World. I’m so excited to continue the Wheel of Time
I recently finished the Assassin’s Quest and I truly don’t know what to do with myself
I hear you, those books were SOOO good
Mistborn is seriously helping me get through this pandemic right now.
What's a book that lived up to the hype, for me?
I agree with the Shades of Magic trilogy! The first book was just okay for me, but the others were fantastic!
My eyes cannot stop staing at The Book Thief in the background. It's beautiful.
I loved this video! Your enthusiasm makes me want to read all those books!
I LOVE all of your selection! 🖤
Thank you for the recommendations! Always love adding new books to my list.
The Hating Game is a recent read of mine that has been very well hyped. Worth it.
Six of Crows... 6 dangerous outcasts.... Me thinking of Wylan as an adorable child... Sounds about right
If I can add some contemporary books to the list, in my opinion Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, Felix Ever After, You Should See Me in a Crown, and Red White and Royal Blue all definitely lived up to the hype to me!!
I wish I could commit to series but it's just not my thing 😭 Would like to see more stand alone book recommendations 🌻
The 7 and a half deaths of Evelyn hardcastle is amazing if you like a good mystery! The best book I read last year
I would recommend An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson and The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V.E Schwab :)
if you're looking for a romance then I also recommend Beach Read by Emily Henry and The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
sorry to keep adding to this I just really love a lot of books, but I also recommend Heartless by Marissa Meyer
@@bluesey-182 what genre is the invisible life of addie larue?
An Ember in the Ashes! One of my favorite series!
I know, I need it to be a movie but Jesus, don't think we'll get it. 😔
I was just recommended this video, and it felt like running into an old friend. Excited to add these to my TBR!
rick riordan is literally the best author in history, his concepts, DIVERSITY, knowledge and humour allows everyone that reads his books to fall in love with the worlds and characters. also, his knowledge in religions and sexualities, you can tell he isnt afraid to explore different topics and ideas that most authors would avoid. he is also so well educated and genuinely knowledgable towards the mythology and evolution of greece as well as making the characters grow and evolve. also, most books that are somewhat similar to ricks books, portray the protagonist as a perfect hero that makes no mistakes and always has courage and is never scared, here you see that the main protagonists arent always perfect and they make many mistakes but their value for friendship and family keeps them going. i love love love rick riordans books.
Yes, A gathering of shadows was so much better. And the Conjuring of light was just a masterpiece.
I soooo recommend The Poet X. It’s in entirely in verse (short poems, haiku) and in the slam poet style. It sounds weird but it tackles race, sexuality, poverty and religion in the style of a teenage girl living in Harlem New York.
I keep seeing jade city everywhere 😭😭
Just finished the last Trials of Apollo - so good!

The cosmic secret
I'm currently reading The Poppy War!! I was nervous about going into this one because I've heard people say that it includes gods and books with god characters usually don't keep my interest (so far, I have DNFed all books I have tried to read with god characters), but so far, I am enjoying this one. I think it's because none of the main characters ARE gods/part god. They are more in the background of the story. If that some how changes though . . . I don't know.
I like your presentation style. You’ve talked me into dipping my toe into fantasy.
5:01 That moment in class when you raise your hand to answer a rhetorical question...

The cosmic secret
Yay its FINALLY fall! thanks for the new book recs! :)
Love Rick R. Reading the Hidden Oracle now
like what the heck is wrong with dislikes how can some subscribe and turn on notification just to dislike it like maybe 1 min later , and in addition how can some hate a video about books📖📚 ,if you dont like books or the content then simply cilck out .period..... personaly i will just keep liking your videos and every booktubers just to piss them off and to motivate you😘👌
I can't believe you read Mistborn franchise. That's my second favorite series to read even though I haven't finished the series.
Bone Shard Daughter is just great! Def worth the hype!!!!
I’m a new fan of V E Schwab adapter reading “Addie LaRue”. Can’t wait to read more.
a book that I personally think was EXTREMELY overhyped was the hunger games. I found it repetitive and quite boring because katniss just did the same thing every chapter, or maybe encountered another death but it just wasn't interesting and I do not understand why ppl love it so much.
