Hi Marion, just another little tip. If you hold the can upside down and spray after you have finished, it stops the top from clogging up. I got this tip from my husband. Another nice demo and something new to try. Thankyou.
I’ve been watching your videos a bit lately and I believe I’m getting an English accent! My mom was born in 1916 somewhere in Birmingham England. So an accent would fit! Love your card ideas esp the feathers. I have so many feather dies and stamps in my collection with most being by Tim holtz/Sizzix. Keep your clever ideas coming for our creativity launches from them! (Btw I was born in the USA and live here in Michigan. )
Lovely ideas and techniques, giving beautiful cards. Thank you for sharing. Little tip that I do, get a pedal bin, bin bag and sellotape a part of it on the edge of your desk/table So that it hangs down next to you. This way you can brush all the bits off your work surface straight into it..Aly🙂
Hi. Thank you for redoing this video, it's as brilliant and as fun as your cards are. I agree with you on the waste not, want not mentality. I even use up almost all of the little bits that comes out of the die cuts, yes, the bits that you sweep off your desk and onto the floor. It's a little painstaking but I sort them out and stick them to a piece of cardstock for an interesting and textured abstract background. It's ideal for me when I want to create but have lost my mojo, so to speak, and I can just open up one of my little ziplock bags, empty it out and do something. Thanks again for a great video, it has given me some interesting ideas.
Love this tutorial. You remind me of a favorite English aunt who sadly is no longer with us. She had a lovely sense of humour as well. Thanks for sharing a wonderful, easy technique I've yet to try ... but will. Cheers from Canada. 🌹
So happy to see what can be done with the waxed paper die cuts. I think they are so delicately pretty but have never used them. Will definitely rethink that now!! Love the multi-colored feathers AND the clear waxed paper ones, too!!
This is the first time I have watched your video. I love your cards! The embossing powders are beautiful and suspect even more so in person! Using the wax paper is a unique idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
Ps… I love that you use your ‘waste’. A crafter never throws anything away! I’ve been known to peel the paper of the outside of cans, as I know die cutting it will look cool! Sad confession of the day! 😂
I just found your channel tonight, and am a new subscriber. I love the feathers, and the use of the paper where you end up with some lovely clear feathers to use. Thanks for the hard work. I am anxiously awaiting your next video.
Such a fabulous design! I NEED to do this technique and that feather die set is GORG! Technology is the worst sometimes, that stinks you had to do it over but at least you got an extra card. Oy, the dentist... I feel you there, trust!
Absolutely fabulous cards, I love watching your different techniques they are so effective. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing your amazing talent with us. Take care,
I had told you I put cerulean in my wishlist before I saw you use it and was so happy I did when I saw you use it! But my favorite is that pink! I have a couple in my list but I’ll have to check for this one. This card is so beautiful! It’s given me an idea for thanksgiving! But I don’t know for sure if they’ll have the colors I’m thinking of. I know they have coppers, but what about a burgundy or fall red? I know you have a great orange I think on Amazon. I’m just thinking sprinkle a little magical powders on a panel, then emboss just like you did only use leaf dies in copper orange and burgundy. Oh Marion! You just get my brain going! Thank you! Now I have to get at least those to try it. Those aren’t my colors but pretty for fall.
Oh Denise, that sounds a wonderful idea, we don’t do thanksgiving over here, but I love the autumnal look. If you click on the link in the description, go to the wow website and you’ll see all the colours, there’s over 200 so prepare yourself 😜😜🥰🥰🥰
@@marionemberson you silly lady! I have been to that site since the first video I watched of yours! And I have a list of either 30 or 60 I can’t remember. I think 30!!!!!

I absolutely love this technique! The ability to make several backgrounds and then die cut out of them seems like such an incredibly easy and fast way to do things. I foresee making 10 different backgrounds and then picking out some dies after the fact. Talk about a streamlined assembly process. Love love LOVE! Even neater is that the background when you get done does look kind of almost unappealing?! But once you cut, it goes from the ugly duckling to the beautiful swan 🦢! Gorgeous! Your level of expertise shows. No wonder you have over 9,000 followers. 😁❤️👍
Awww thank you Donna 🥰🥰🥰 and yes, it looks horrible until you die cut it and then … TA DA !!!! It’s such a great idea to batch make, for that forgotten card 😜😜😜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I am a new subscriber and I am so glad I found you! what a fun, simple and inspiring video! I am excited to try it on the different leaf dies and others. So many possibilities! Thank you very much!
This is the first time I've come across you and your channel it was only due to a post a friend of mine made on FB that I followed, and so pleased I did as this is such a simple but very effective finish, I don't like those spray glues I always get in a mess with them so with delicate die cuts like these feathers I'd use the mini sticky dots.
Thank you. I did get myself some sticky mini dots and oh boy, I got in such a mess 🫣🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I should have just done them on a double side adhesive sheet 🙈🙈🙈🥰🥰🥰🥰
Loved your video. Looking forward to trying this technique. Liked how you used a roller to apply your embossing ink and using a spray glue is a great idea. Thanks lots
Very Nice Marion, I'm sorry you lost the first footage, well done for perservering. I called this cameo embossing, cos I couldn't think of another name and yet multi coloured embossing sounds much easier ;-) remember the skeleton leaves I've embossed a few years ago? the wax ones reind me of those, they look fabulous
I have also just found your channel. Im quite impressed with this technique and will definately have ago at it. I have lots of paper rose dies in my stash, just love them. I live in South Australia and they are local to me. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sue, thank you. Oh how lovely to be so local, I’ve only got a couple of their dies (only just found them really) but I’m so impressed with the quality. !! 🥰🥰
Hi,just subscribed to your channel, absolutely love the cards and all the techniques you used especially the white feathers ( i thought you were going to use them as stencils) really looking forward to the next video, do you know if that border punch is still available? ❤
Thanks so much Nadine I really appreciate the sub 🤗🤗 Sorry if I’m being a numpty but I can’t think what border punch you’re referring to, can you give me a bit more info please so I can try and help xxx
Great cards and great to see how to use more than one colour powder. Just a thought when I saw the wax paper …. Could you not iron them on to a blended background..I think it’s called wax paper resist.
Thank you, absolutely you could, you would get a different effect, have you seen my other videos, there’s a couple about pouncing, similar but different 😜😜🥰🥰🥰
What if you put the wax paper on white card stock, put a pc of paper over them then put your iron on medium and see if the wax would transfer to your card stock. Then you could do a resist with ink and brushes. Just a thought.
I love how you created the feathers! So beautiful yet not complicated at all. I tried to find the link for shopping but couldn't figure it out. Is there another way so that you get credit for my purchase?
Hi Jerie, thanks so much, I’m glad you like it !! ❤️ you can either click the link on the comment I’ve pinned at the top where you can see all the products in pictures, or go into the description, by clicking the little arrow in the top right corner (I think 🤔) if you manage it, I really appreciate it, if not I’m just happy if you get some goodies and have a good play 🥰🥰🥰🥰
So pretty. I will give this a go when I get some more colors of embossing powder. In the meantime I'll try it with either a gel print or something else. Thanks for inspiring me to try clean and simple cards. If I were to send you a message on Facebook would you be able to look at something I made and let me know if you would consider it as cas? Thanks.
I just adore you. I’m sorry you had to do it again. But we really do appreciate it. And please be sure when I get ready to order some embossing powders, there will be very many and I’ll make sure that they give you commission on all of it. So if we click on cerulean and buy it from your link but we buy 20 others, do you get commission for all of it?
Thanks so much Denise, I’m quite new to all this, but I think if you click the link and buy any others via that link then yes, but I think the link expires after 24 hours. It’s only a little, but it really does help me purchase other products to share even if it only covers the P and P. But the most important thing is you get goodies and get to create 🥰🥰
@@mandykershaw1969 hi Mandy, when I do my videos I very rarely plan them out with precision, that’s probably obvious 🤣🤣🤣 I think that’s a great idea, but it would have to be heat resistant and I think I’ve shown that in a previous video, I like to try and show different techniques so it suits lots of people. Hope that makes sense 🥰🥰
Love it! Oh marion you make me laugh & make my day!! Paper Rose from Oakwood out of stock so they’ll email me when back. Love feathers 💜 so inspiring - got a few ideas for other dies too now so thank you x
That’s lovely. But as an old hand at teaching card making i was a bit OCD about the way you applied the ink with your brayer. You broke a cardinal rule. Instead of inking picking the brayer up and rolling it down the pad you just mostly went back and forth on the same portion of the brayer, thereby only getting a small part of the brayer reinked. Drove my a little crazy but it obviously turned out ok. lol. Still i managed to stick with it and the result was fabulous.
I had no idea there was a cardinal rule for crafting with brayers? 🤔🤷😁 It's such a small diameter brayer that it appears that she would get fantastic coverage especially since she went one way on the ink pad and then did a quarter turn. I guess whatever works for each crafter is probably okay. 😉
Hi Jacquie, thanks ❤️❤️ it’s funny as I’m rather OCD, but that’s never bothered me, I suppose as long as I get the result I want, all is good. And then there’s some things I procrastinate over and drive myself mad 🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰
Love watching your videos . Can I just ask you ,I noticed you use the chrome precision plate with the Sizzix fold away . They say you shouldn’t use the plate with this machine but I would like too . Do you get any issues with you plates when using the chrome plate . It will be so helpful to have a plate that helps cut the more intricate dies . Than’ you for all your time you give up doing these videos to show us tips , tric’ and your beautiful card s x
Hi Angela, thank you ❤️ oh I didn’t know that, call me a rebel 🙈🙈🤣 I also have the normal big shot and the switch, and I use it in all of them, I’ve never had a problem before…. 🤞🤞 it stays that way, but I am off to try and find out why, all I can think of is the foldaway has slightly more pressure 🧐🧐🧐♥️♥️♥️
Thank you , I think I will go ahead and try mine . I’m not sure what the reason was but you saying about the pressure on it does seem to ring a bell . However ,I do have a brain like a sieve and it struggle to contain any knowledge after like 5 minutes lol . Than’ you again xx
NO burgundy. You have a color called perrissa. Can you tell me what that looks like melted. It looks like a yellow tone but it looks like there is silver and some other color in it and I can't tell what it is. Thank you
Ahh Perissa is a mix of metallics, gold, silver, platinum and I think copper, it also has some ultra high grade powders, great for solid coverage but not good if you want to emboss a sentiment for example. Xx
well my cart is ready and I sent them an email first to ensure that you get your commission on he total order and asked if they offer a new customer discount code. Almost everywhere does so it doesn't hurt to ask. I'll place the order after that. I am ordering your new aqua trio which I love! But I took out a couple of the other colors I had because they looked very close until I use them a bit and see. It was over a $100 but I shaved it down to just at that price. I will have them forever! LOL
Bless you Denise, I really appreciate that… try this code WOWDTME when you check out and you should get 10% off, I’ve just asked if it’s still valid as I wasn’t sure if it had expired. ❤️❤️

Why didn't you use double sided sticky adhesive paper to start with, then you wouldn't have to mess about with glue just peel them off and use them 🤔
They are beautiful
@@mandykershaw1969 hi Mandy, when I do my videos I very rarely plan them out with precision, that’s probably obvious 🤣🤣🤣 I think that’s a great idea, but it would have to be heat resistant and I think I’ve shown that in a previous video, I like to try and show different techniques so it suits lots of people. Hope that makes sense 🥰🥰
@@mandykershaw1969 thank you Mandy 🥰🥰
Love it! Oh marion you make me laugh & make my day!! Paper Rose from Oakwood out of stock so they’ll email me when back. Love feathers 💜 so inspiring - got a few ideas for other dies too now so thank you x
Aww bless you, thanks Denize, I’ve just found out Loobicrafts stock PaperRose as well xxx
@@marionemberson Fabulous! Thank you - got to get it - don’t see many die cut or feather stamps x
Itcertainly turned out perfectly so it’s just me lol.

@@angelaharnett6437 I’m right with you there Angela 😂😂😂🥰🥰
Please can you hold the finished cards up to the camera so that we can see the sparkle?
I usually do Jane, but obviously forgot on this one 🙈🙈🙈❤️
I don't know where your link to the products is under your video.
If you click the ‘show more’ in the video description that will take you there, I hope that helps xx
Leaf trio
@@marionemberson thank you. You’re such a lovely lady!
