So many memories flooding back again, good and bad, all connected and held together by Runescape, the biggest part of my childhood and definitely the best part, having grown up in a broken home and dysfunctional family, nearly friendless, and bullied, I could always hop on (our memorable, Dell PC that I still have in my garage somewhere) the computer and spend hours playing RS, talking to others and working together in quests, grinding, pking, minigames, and be as excited and enjoyable the next day. I remember the shock I was in on my first account in elementary or middle school the day I got lured into the wildy and killed by 2 people, with almost everything I owned on me because I was too young and dumb to know how to play right and use banks, I cried and was like numb the whole day, just in disbelief, I'll always remember that and laugh thinking back to then.

That last comment is exactly me. I don't play anymore but I watch your videos for the nostalgia. I quit because all of my hard work from my freshman year of high school was practically deleted. I'm 26 now and it has been nearly a decade since I started this wonderful game. I tried old school runescape but I want the account I started with on the OS rs servers. I'll never forget the great days Jagex gave me though. I still have many friends that I've met on RS that I'd never have met without the help of Jagex.

Things can look like other things, and smell/touch/taste is just your body figuring out what compounds are in your environment. But sounds... So exact, so different and hard to imitate without already being able to create that sound. Sometimes sounds send me back to being 5 years old.... Man, i'm baked

I'm in a fairly interesting place with this list, because I started playing after 2007, which is when these sounds are from, and many of the sounds I'm familiar with are slightly, or even greatly updated, because I started in 2008 or so and kept playing until a little after the clan citadel update. So this list was a mixture of recognition, half-recognition of a sound that's kind of like the one I'd associate with my time playing, and utterly forgotten sounds I couldn't place at all.
I could recognize most of the sounds on the video. Years ago, before Jagex started updating the sound effects, I could tell by memory every sound on the game, especially combat sounds. I could even tell if a spell was a water, air, earth or fire spell or with ancients, I could tell if it was blood, smoke, shadow or ice and if it was a blitz, burst or barrage. I played runscape in middle school, I wasn’t a pvp pro or even had great gear, but man my mining was high. That’s all I did.
As soon as i heard 17 my stomach turned, and i almost cried. I haven't played osrs in years so i didnt remember alot of these except this one.
My #1 all time favorite sound bite is when you level up slayer. Gawd that sound is SO glorious!
