Erroneous conscience judges something incorrectly, when something is bad you think it is good and when it is good you think it is bad.
Father Mike, today's catechism paragraphs 1790-1802 day 240 were eye-openers for me. You explained it clearly so I can explain it to my friend who has trouble understanding this concept.
God's grace and mercy overwhelm me. I was raised in a lukewarm Catholic household and married an atheist. Yet my husband and I have sought God's will for our lives. The Lord has transformed both of us throughout our 25 years of marriage and we have produced so much good fruit. And yet, my "Catholic" family of origin hates our consciences. They find evil in NFP and being open to life, homeschooling, fostering and adopting, Eucharistic Adoration, virtue, faith, living liturgically, Bible studies, etc. My own mom said I was dead.

I believe that people who are hurting; have written things; that made me see the conscience of: what is faith; what is the level of the other person's faith; obviously they are in the dumps; and so, it gets the best out of my Faith; to pump blood into their dying souls; they are bleeding to death. You try your best to DPR. Depressed PR; and they just stay dead. Blood of Jesus keep them alive amen.

But the Pharisees interpreted it as the work of the devil. Jesus spent time at many people’s homes as a guest and He was accused of being a glutton and drunkard. When someone gives into calumny, they often look at some virtue in another and twist it some way so as to deceive and misrepresent the truth. And it is often done out of envy or jealousy. Lord, help me to see others in the light of humility and truth. Help me to see their goodness and virtue and to rejoice in it. Strip from me any falsity and calumny through Christ our Lord. Amen. ❤🙏❤
We must choose what we know is true and refuse to do what we know is 😈 evil. Not to tolerate evil in our lives and delight in it, but rejoice in the good. Our ignorance can be our fault when we take little trouble to find out what is good and true. SIN can make us blind. It can deafen, deaden, and numb our conscience. Make it our job to find out the truth. All are called to be virtuous. A call, an invitation to be free, to be strong, courageous and powerful in this 🌎 world with a formed conscience. When I attended the Foursquare Gospel Church, I was led to believe the 10 Commandments could be interpreted however you wished, and if you sincerely believed your interpretation, God ratified that for you. Needless to say, I was lacking in virtue and the joy of a close relationship with God until I began to live my baptismal vows in the Catholic Church.

Fr. Mike often mentions, without naming him, Jordan Peterson (in this case, the "person" who realized that much of what he was saying he did not believe himself), which i find curious. Jordan Peterson often brings this up, and says that the more you warp reality, the less you are able to perceive it accurately. Not being truthful actually has a physical effect on your brain.

A person must always obey the certain judgement of his own conscience, but one could make erroneous judgement for reasons that may not always exempt him from personal guilt. However, an evil act committed through involuntary ignorance is not imputable to the person, even though the act remains objectively evil. One must, therefore, work to correct the errors of moral conscience.
Hello Fr Mike. Following your podcast. This relates to an individuals cons ions “ . When we watch TV shows or movies we come across offensive / foul language and sexually oriented scenes. One could watch these without disturbing ones emotional self. If we continue our thoughts basing on what you just watched it is a sin. Pope Francis is constantly presented in a negative light on the Web. It takes a lot of fasting and prayer to avoid deception. That has been my experience.Even if you sincerely think he's wrong ,it's better not to call him Bergoglio, just as we respect others . You can disagree and give him his proper title. The emotionalism of evil teaching, evil this and evil that is not helpful.

This is one of my objections to the way the synod on synodality has been designed, and how much theology pretends that conscience is always certain, that conscience is always clear, that we can replace God the Father with the Conscience of Surprises. Conscience can be wrong!

Fr. Mike often mentions, without naming him, Jordan Peterson (in this case, the "person" who realized that much of what he was saying he did not believe himself), which i find curious. Jordan Peterson often brings this up, and says that the more you warp reality, the less you are able to perceive it accurately. Not being truthful actually has a physical effect on your brain.

A person must always obey the certain judgement of his own conscience, but one could make erroneous judgement for reasons that may not always exempt him from personal guilt. However, an evil act committed through involuntary ignorance is not imputable to the person, even though the act remains objectively evil. One must, therefore, work to correct the errors of moral conscience.
Hello Fr Mike. Following your podcast. This relates to an individuals cons ions “ . When we watch TV shows or movies we come across offensive / foul language and sexually oriented scenes. One could watch these without disturbing ones emotional self. If we continue our thoughts basing on what you just watched it is a sin. Pope Francis is constantly presented in a negative light on the Web.
It takes a lot of fasting and prayer to avoid deception. That has been
my experience.Even if you sincerely think he's wrong ,it's better not to call
him Bergoglio, just as we respect others .
You can disagree and give him his proper title.
The emotionalism of evil teaching, evil this and evil that is not helpful.
Thank you for bringing up fasting and prayer. Unfortunately, we are marinating in an evil generation as unjust laws are placing people of goodwill in prison for defending the pre-born person from procured government funded infanticide. It's symptomatic of the heresy of modernism.
Catholics are poorly catechized that many don't fast and pray.

Still, there is deception and his selection of clerics and appointments to the College of Cardinals are frustrating and infuriating because he seems to cast confusion and doubts on the already established dogmas that are immutable. This is one of my objections to the way the synod on synodality has been designed, and how much theology pretends that conscience is always certain, that conscience is always clear, that we can replace God the Father with the Conscience of Surprises.

Killing is evil but people have jobs where that happens such as law enforcement and war. Are we to be conscientious objectors in those jobs
There is the just war theory and self defense. The catechism will talk about that.
