They always seemed uncomfortable with the character of Tawna for some reason. The only time they got her right after the first game, was in the remake. When she was brought back for CTR Nitro fueled she was developed into being masculine/aggressive, losing her bimbo pretty vibe. After that, they made her into the androgynous character with a Mohawk. So yeah, Tawna never sat right for them, not just after her initial removal.

Tawna is a wonderful character and fun to play as but i didn't like how she was portrayed in Japan, Naughty Dog cared about her and wanted to have her for the sequels but Universal interactive refuse because of disliking her appearance they decide to order them to remove her It's very bullshit removing a character who i think would become much greater in the future, Tawna in my opinion is more than a damsel in distress and likes to kick ass and go on adventures much like what Crash & Coco like to do But thank goodness that she's back.years later Her in Boom Bang was shit cause i dislike her bio CTRNF & NST are brilliant, Fucking love her in the Activision area games, I couldn't thank them enough for bringing her back and hopefully in the future she'll appear more often besides being a cameo It's About time is alright but i use to fear that her counterpart might end up replacing her or for my theory that Alter Tawna is the original all along despite both of them wearing the same shirt as seen in Rumble and her Retro skin being called Retro besides OG Not to offend but I've hated that whole her with Pinstripe idea from Japan, Her being a bride to a scumbag who threaten to kill Crash in his first game, I never thought that Tawna would get along with him canonically Dating business loving jerks who act like psychopaths are never her thing, She prefer to love a man who has heart, No greed Tawna love Crash a lot for who he is and not only for his appearance or what kind of big crystal he has under his trunks, Same for how Crash love Tawna for who she is, Not only for what nice big wumpas she got under her top Crash in the other hand, He may not be super smart lioe his sister and acts all funny but he does have heart and manage to come all the way back to the castle to save everyone including his girlfriend from about to be controlled by Dr Cortex If anyone likes the Pintawna ship, I respect your opinions and this was just mine to share, So no arguments
