The sense of adventure and the fact these children are basically delving deeper and deeper into hell is so interesting. The world is beautifully animated, but also extremely treacherous. I have a deep feeling in my heart that the story won't end happily, but I'm 100% certain it'll be an amazing adventure none the less.
Is it wrong that I kind of hope for a tragic ending for the story? If done well it can leave a very strong impact (like Grave of the fireflies for example)
@@twirox1662 I think they'll reach Riko's mother and she'll be angry at Reg. She probably sent him up to the surface to tell her not to follow her, but in the end he lost his memories and brought her down. They then reunite, but they can never leave as the curse doesn't allow them to.
@@twirox1662 The Abyss is perhaps the best take on lovecraftian or cosmic horror I've seen in anime and just one of the best ones in general. Personally I'm of the opinion that good lovecraftian horror cannot have ending that gives you closure because the horror in that genre come from things that are beyond our human understanding and beyond our capability to even fight back. If The Abyss is finally fully explored and explained and even worse, defeated, that diminishes most of the horror because it was after all a threat humans could combat. That's why I agree with you, the ending must to some extent leave us with a feeling that The Abyss is beyond the humans desperately trying to conquer it.
@• YamiPlays • There isn't and in fact the anime is currently so close to source material that at best there's material for maybe 2 more episodes, 3 if you really stretch things out. The author took something like 8 month hiatus between last two chapters and I'm told by long time readers that the usual pace so far has been maybe 4-6 chapters a year. All this to say that we won't be seeing season 3 anytime soon, barely even during this decade. Whether there's gonna be 4th one after that, I'm not sure but I doubt it as the author probably doesn't want to be tied to same series for several decades.
@@retrohanska4441 I don't think that's how this should end, because I don't think such things exist. There is nothing beyond human ingenuity and spirit. There's always some spark of hope even in the most overwhelming situations, even if specific people fail and/or die along the way- we keep pushing forward in spite of it all. This might be a stretch but I think in a way that this anime is a metaphor for stepping into adulthood, abyss is that adulthood... And as you go down deep into it coming back to your childhood (surface) becomes harder and harder and as one steps into the world of adults and their problems and challenges, they must be ready to face great hardship, and perhaps that golden city is the final goal of everyone in life.
2000 years ago......humanity discovered the great abyss. It's the only part of the World that still unexplored. Some say it contain the source of all life. Until a girl get contact with it, Ymir. Yes. To you, 2000 years later
My nephew introduced MiA to me by letting me read some manga panels. The eerie child-theme artstyle and the dark vibe, plus my nephew:"MC got letter from her mom told her to go down the abyss but it turned out her mother is dead so who wrote the letter?" absolutely scared me for a whole year. I could not bear looking at MiA visuals or even listening to this OST. One year later, I finally challenged myself and watched the anime. Totally loved it. Watched all the way to season 2. MiA, Kara no Kyoukai and Madoka are the only horrors I could enjoy. Something special about them. Still cannot bear the manga artstyle tho lol
Like... this music. I love it. Also, I have the biggest hate love relationship with this show. I have never cried that much and been so angry at a cartoon. My poor kids 😭😭😭

It's valid for the whole anime
This song feels warm and gives off an unprecedented feeling of mystery? A long story needs a beginning I suppose…
La mejor serie de anime que he visto en la vida
это произведение настолько мощное и пробирающие до дрожи души и мурашек на теле, бесподобно. Как слушаю катарсис так и проходит через всю сущность и бытия.
Спасибо, Thanks very much~
Want to Life

This song fills me with the wonder of a child on the adventure of a lifetime.
1:45 this is my favorite part

This might be a stretch but I think in a way that this anime is a metaphor for stepping into adulthood, abyss is that adulthood... And as you go down deep into it coming back to your childhood (surface) becomes harder and harder and as one steps into the world of adults and their problems and challenges, they must be ready to face great hardship, and perhaps that golden city is the final goal of everyone in life.
Makes sense tbh
2000 years ago......humanity discovered the great abyss. It's the only part of the World that still unexplored.
Some say it contain the source of all life.
Until a girl get contact with it, Ymir.
Yes. To you, 2000 years later
so titans are from abyss....
Интересно, чем закончится история, я могу свои мысли написать, но возможно это просто бред
Made in abyss IS a AOT Prequel

@@신우주-p2s its a good plot twist

"I find it hard to say this, but...If you come back and say ""It's impossible, after all,"" It'd be ought so nice"

Le meilleur ost du monde
I can't believe I recognized this song after so many years in the second season. It must be so memorable
Such a emotional vibe I love it.
本当にいい曲!
Still cannot bear the manga artstyle tho lol
best OST from this show
Beautiful...truly...beautiful..
I remember this song from the moment with Ozen, when they were escorted to level 3.
Like... this music. I love it. Also, I have the biggest hate love relationship with this show. I have never cried that much and been so angry at a cartoon. My poor kids 😭😭😭
Love hate relationship couldn’t be more true for this show, I’ve never experienced anything that can make me shift from loving it to despising it to loving it again in the span of 5 minutes
Nanachi and Mitty...
@@ToozdaysChild I was bawling my eyes out. That was the first time in the show I just couldn't control myself. F me it was hard to watch
@@ToozdaysChild God that scene is so damn hard to sit through, especially near the end where she’s screaming “please kill me”

Do you understand what the song is singing? No
But i can feel it and it makes me cry
Currently watching Made in Abyss for the first time and I wasn't expecting it to be so tame

Work hard my friend. Don't waste anymore time. You can achieve a lot in your Life. Please don't waste anymore time.
I can't believe its been 2 weeks since I replied to my own comment. But, nothing has changed in the last 2 weeks. Absolutely, Nothing
Bruh, Its been more two weeks and still nothing has changed at all. Still, I am at Zero. There is no progress at all. Wtf is even happening bro. I can't understand like what is happening. Where the time is going and why all the efforts that we do is going in Vain Whyyyyyyy.
Its been 5 days and yet no Efforts at all.
Its been 2 weeks and you ain't do shit.
This song makes me think about how Brondrewd sunk Mitty and made her a blob.
I don't usually listen to made in the abyss songs and be sad but when i do the neighbors do too.
Un regalo para nuestros oidos
Ahhh i found it. I was like... how am i going to find it without a name. But I got it! And it's so beautiful
