Welcome to the Fjällräven Polar 2024 challenges. To earn your place on next year’s expedition, you will need to complete three challenges released weekly and published on this page from Monday 30th October 2023. Remember, there are no wrong answers - only your interpretation of the challenge, your creativity, and your passion. Read on for the full challenge descriptions. The best of luck!
CHALLENGE #3 - Making nature your neighbour
Let’s put it simply: we love nature. And if you’ve got this far, we think you probably do, too. It’s proven to lower blood pressure, improve concentration, boost your immune system, and the benefits start kicking in after just 20 minutes of daily walks.
We believe that the more time we spend in nature, the more we grow appreciation, love and respect for it. Today, however, more of us live in urban areas, making nature harder to access. Perhaps you live in a big city, or maybe you can’t get out there quite as often as you’d like, even though it’s close by.
We want to know how you motivate yourself and those around you to spend more time in or around nature. What do you do, or indeed, what could you do to get closer to it? Perhaps you’ve started growing vegetables in your garden, maybe you’ve taught a family member something new about wildlife. Does it involve overcoming certain practical challenges if you live in the city?
We want your inspiring stories, big and small. Send us your tips, guidance and experiences of how you get closer to the great outdoors, wherever you’re located.
Respond by uploading a video, photos, imagery or any other creative content to your public Instagram account by Sunday 19th November. Tag your submission with @fjallravenofficial, #FjallravenPolar2024 and #Challenge3.
Before you start, a quick reminder...
- For a successful application, you must complete the application form and all three challenges by posting them to your Instagram account by Sunday 19th November.
- To ensure the judges see your content, you must set your Instagram profile to ‘public’ and tag @fjallravenofficial and #FjallravenPolar2024 for each entry.
- Every entry must also include the corresponding challenge hashtag: #Challenge1, #Challenge2 or #Challenge3.
