Somehow I didn't take into account the first 2 deaths on Gael, so the total is 18 and not 16 lol. Not trying to trick you, I promise! Too many things I wanted to say and still so much left unsaid. I just don't really know how to put into words how the ending made me feel and how I feel overall about everything that happened, the choices I had, the decision I made. Anyway, I LOVE this game. Can't say I love it more than Dark Souls I cause that one is so precious to me and Dark Souls III was a bit of a roller-coaster but damn, it's so well made and amazing, and great, and definitely a game I will come back to. Thank you all again for the amazing support on this playthrough 💜 P.S. How would your list look like for Top 3 bosses of Dark Souls 3? I forgot to mention that I really love Twin Princes too, Lorian forever 😅
It was a great playthrough! My top 3 would be: 1. Slave Knight Gael 2. Twin Princes 3. Darkeater Midir It's been quite a ride, if you play Elden Ring next I think you're going to love the lore. Can't wait to see what the next adventure is!
I know I probably said this before, but I just wanted to remind you how much fun this is to watch you play these games. You think you had a lot of fun doing it, I think we had more fun watching. The way you get into the lore and the story, I think there are players that have played through the game five times that don't know as much of the story as you. I actually learned some things from you. Can't wait to see what your next adventure is going to be, Good Times!
Fantastic job, Baya! Every time you upload a new ds video, it makes my day. Thank you for putting so much effort into these videos, and if you ever feel like playing ds2 I'd be happy to follow along again.
as someone who played DS3 earlier this year, I personally like this ending more than the "secret" ending imo. This might be a oversimplification but - Link the Fire is the neutral ending where Ashen One returned all the lord's souls back to the first flame and will last till the next millennium and the same thing happens again till the Ashen One's death as the next Soul of Cinder. Would like to throw in - Yes that was Gwyn's Theme and some of his move set throughout the 2nd phase and I love the lore of how since the Soul of Cinder is all of who linked the fire before, that INCLUDES your first character in DS1. I think that just so cool how Ashen One is technically stronger than The Chosen Undead. Usurpation of Fire is the secret ending where it still requires you to link the first flame, but instead of being in engulfed by the flames, you painfully consume it into you. You light the first flame but not with the lord souls you gathered but instead with The Dark Soul you assembled from the Dark Sigil, which can only be obtained from Yoel. To me, it's pretty similar to "The Dark Lord" Ending in DS1 but instead of becoming a Dark Lord or Lord of Cinder, your the Lord of Hollow...there's a lot more explaining but this comment is mad long so I encourage to look up lore if your interested. Then this ending - End of Fire. Believed to be the truest ending where you summon the Firekeeper. Where she absorbs the flame in her hands as it fades...thus ushering us all to the Age of Dark. Things will be different. After many cycles, nature will balance. The Lord Soul and the Dark Soul will bound to mankind, becoming embers and rather someone dying and becoming undead and losing humanity, they become unkindled, leaving behind ashes. Say, a human soul passes, both Lord & Dark Soul neutralize one and another, leaving no energy residual behind, only ashes. The point of this being the true ending is - by not linking the flame, mankind Obtains the lord & dark soul within themselves... Though what the firekeeper says at the end could imply that eventfully, these cycles will continue with no end in sight. Though the Age of Dark descends on to the world, a new age of fire will one day break through the darkness. that's at least how I interpret it lol. Dark Souls lore is so cool. Amazing playthrough!
The Hollowslayer starts doing extra damage against Gael in his second phase, meaning he goes Hollow once he witnesses the Dark Soul is back together. His duty was finished.
Nooo, not Patches, not again!! And with a back stab too! That's so evil, absolutely unbelievable... Anyway, congrats! Glad to see you enjoyed the game. Honeslty, watching you was more fun for me than playing the game myself. Thanks for the journey. Hope ds2 is next.
its always bittersweet beating one of these games. on the one hand you feel a sense of accomplishment but on the other its sad that it has to come to an end found your channel because your huge crab situation video (😁) was recommended to me and i'm glad that was the case. with this, ds3 comes to an end but i'm looking forward to see what you've got planned next!
Hand it over, that thing, your Slave Knight Gael boss fight. Slave Knight Gael will always be my favorite boss, for its absolute cinema, a magnum opus. A brilliant playthrough. Top 3 bosses, Gael, Freda, and Twin Princes
the painting of ariandel is rotting as you can see from those red weird formations that surge in walls and stuff, and thats why the long haired lady is painting a new one with the help of gael
Regarding the ending, the End of Fire is the favourite ending of Miyazaki and thus is probably the closest to canon ending of the game After so many linkings of the fire it's really for the best to let it rest Nice catch on Gwyn's theme in the last fight since his second phase also has Gwyn's moveset! The first Lord's final attempt to protect the dying flame Regarding next Souls game Elden Ring might be the best choice, in terms of lore it's bigger and richer than any other Souls game and of course it's overall extremely huge, most people finish it in around 80 hours on their first playthrough And also by the time you'll finish it Bloodborne is probably gonna be 100% emulated for PC so you'll be able to delve into it too, this is still the best game Miyazaki ever created!
Great job Baya! I have really enjoyed your playthrough of one of my favorite Souls games. It was my favorite until Elden Ring took that spot. Bloodborne is also right up there. Just wanted to mention that I've kind of been following along with your playthrough because I never played the DLCs. I have killed all bosses except for Midir - having some trouble with him. My favorite bosses in this game would be Gael, Pontiff Sullivan, and Abyss Watchers. I love your attention to the lore and will be joining whichever game you decide to do next!
Great playthru of such a great game. 🎉. You are doing such a good job Baya. Hope you will play elden ring next but I hope you enjoy whatever you choose.
"Bad idea. I don't know what is a good idea." Welcome to phase 3! I just killed Gael yesterday in a NG+ and struggled with him for much of a day before finally getting him. I finally learned that his main attack in phase 3 is a 3 jump combo that can be punished after the final jump, and that pushed me over the top. I also saved Soul of Cinder for last, and SoC is definitely a great fight, but after Gael it really felt like an anti-climax. Gael is the best boss fight in the game. I think I'd put Friede second. They're both really perfect boss fights. Friede is a bit overpowered in some ways, but a bit underpowered in others, and I think they balance out. Not sure what I'd put third, maybe Demon Prince.
Hi Baya! Well played. After your walkthroughs, I can confidently say that you play Dark Souls exactly the way I would like newbies to play these games. (You are not newbie) I hope that you are not tired of Souls and that you are not "burned out", because now I am really looking forward to your walkthrough of Dark Souls 2. DS2 is quite different from 1 and 3, and I would really like to see your walkthrough of DS2 scholar of the first sin version (this comment doesnt calls for a shitstorm dispute about dark souls 2, move on)
Congrats on finishing the game 😁 Interesting thing to note, Gael could not handle the darkness of the men, i.e. Dark Soul. He went mad, but he is not the only one, remember Puss of Man , hollows that also go mad, also Iudex Gundyr etc. This partially shows that Gwyn was perhaps right to contain humans. Coupled with Lords of Hollows ending (true ending which you missed 😁😆) , perhaps true nature of humanity is not darkness but hollowness. In any case, this poses the question what kind of world will Painter girl paint with Dark Soul, would it truly be a gentle place, with Darkness finally freed inside of it.
Congratulations on beating the game But man the ending of Dark Souls 3, especially the Soul of Cinder fight, always makes me sad. Doesn't matter if it's another playthrough I did myself or watching someone else beat the game, that shit gets me - makes me remember much simpler times. My top three DS3 Bosses would look like this: 1. Soul of Cinder 2. Nameless King 3. Pontiff Sulyvahn Anyways, can't wait for the next series to start.
I'm gona write an essay, so skip if you want to. Congratulations on beating my favorite dark souls game, also beating my favourite boss of the series, Gael and also one of the hardest imo. I also love soul of cinder I think is really cute gesture from the devs kinda making us (our characters from ds1 and ds2) the final boss and also bringing Gwyn back and it also fits the lore soooo well too. The ending you got is in my opinion the best ending (and i think the canon one) It is kind of the same concept as the painted world. You destroy this corrupted and dying world to give birth to another. If you remember the bird guy in Ariandel says it "it is the one thing we do right, unlike those fools on the outside" but this time you broke the cycle, there is no age of light or age of darkness, it is just dark and the the birth of a new world. P.S. I think you should play ds2 before moving on with other series or you will forget about some stuff and maybe even lose interest in the game because gameplaywise is not the best. Go into that game with an open mind, it is the most frustrating and unfair game of the series but I think there are still some valuable things in there and some interesting stories, it is NOT as good as DS1 or DS3 but it isn't a bad game at all people sometimes are too harsh on it I think.
GG! The feeling of everything falling into pieces at the end of the game is kind of a staple of the series... but I kind of dig it, as it complements the feeling of emptiness at the end of an epic DS journey. Touching the bonfire would have activated the Yuria ending, btw - she would have told you so in the shrine with how far you progressed her questline. Just read your comment, and how DS1 feels special to you now as well... DS3 might be the objectively better game, but imho DS1 is still a league of its own somehow. Are you tired of soulslike games yet? I'm curious to see what you'll be playing next. Tbh I hope it's not Elden Ring - it's an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed it far less than any of the other titles, the flawed DS2 included
Oh my god you did so much damage to the poor soul of cinder you were insanely over leveled for him XD By the way the reason you sucked at phase 2 is because that was gwyn's moveset Oh and uh to get yuria's ending all you needed to do is link the flame with all the dark sigils "which you already had so if you linked you would get her ending"
Somehow I didn't take into account the first 2 deaths on Gael, so the total is 18 and not 16 lol. Not trying to trick you, I promise!

Congratulations for finishing another souls game! 🥳
Thankyou algo this channel is so cool😸

It was a great adventure, gg for all that and see you again on Elden Ring!
Congrats on finishing your playthrough, it was very nice to watch :)
Hi, in terms of epicness, the fight against Gael is one of the best
the painting of ariandel is rotting as you can see from those red weird formations that surge in walls and stuff, and thats why the long haired lady is painting a new one with the help of gael

hi baya, thank you for a wonderful play through of this game. i hope you play resident evil 4 next.
Next game should be Bloodborne !!! I wanna see Baya play the Bloodborne style 🤘🤘🤘
I'm gona write an essay, so skip if you want to.

💔
I wonder when uncle Gael will come home... 🤔
GG! The feeling of everything falling into pieces at the end of the game is kind of a staple of the series... but I kind of dig it, as it complements the feeling of emptiness at the end of an epic DS journey.
Touching the bonfire would have activated the Yuria ending, btw - she would have told you so in the shrine with how far you progressed her questline.

boom, both great bosses 💪 great game! any plans for a next one? change of genre or are we souls bound?
I agree, absolutely amazing bosses! I'm going to stick with souls games for now. Still a bit unsure which one but we'll see
@@Baayya sweet
Soooo what's now ? DS2 ? Elden Ring ? Sekiro ?
eeeverything at once 😂 you'll see soon enough
Oh my god you did so much damage to the poor soul of cinder you were insanely over leveled for him XD
By the way the reason you sucked at phase 2 is because that was gwyn's moveset
Oh and uh to get yuria's ending all you needed to do is link the flame with all the dark sigils "which you already had so if you linked you would get her ending"
Baya Gang 😎How dare you spoil in the comments 😂Time for uncle Gael to be put in his place <
Edit: Also congrats on beating the game of course!
you mean the death count? I'm so sorry xD Thank you Enmi
Well.. Dark Souls 2 Scholar version or straight to Elden Ring? Hm-m-m... but ds2 has Desert Pyro ladies... and Tseldora biom hell...
holy shit you are stunningly beautiful
Greetings! You are so emotional! It's so cute! 🫠 I like emotional girls. 😀 Not planning to play Elden Ring?
