Someone posted a link to your videos in a cross stitch group on Facebook, I’m so glad they did. Watching this is like chatting to my own mum. Thank you so much for your videos❤
😊 Hello! Just found your channel! Enjoyed Watching You!! Love your wips! All your projects are beautifully made!👍Thanks so much for sharing your love of stitching! Susie 💕🌻
I really enjoyed your first Flosstube!!! I am a stitching Nana and it keeps me very busy!!! Love your afghan!!! I am crocheting a blanket now but I can only crochet in the winter. It’s too hot to have that yarn in my lap in the summer!!!
When Missy and Kathy mentioned you, saying you live in Central NY, I immediately found your channel. I grew up in Oswego County and still call it home even though I have lived In Massachusetts for more than 40 years. You have beautiful projects and I look forward to seeing future episodes. 🪡🪡🪡🧶🧶🧶
When I heard you were once living in the Adirondack’s, I had to subscribe! I grew up in the Lake George region and live in Virginia now. Hearing and seeing you makes me feel like I’m home for a bit! Loved all your work and will be following this video immediately with your second.
I loved your first floss tube. Your stitches are beautiful and your room looks great.I heard about your floss tube on another floss tube and looked you up so glad I did.💜🪡💜
Great video! I hope you get your stitching mojo back soon. Such pretty charts. I will be 75 in Oct. and also use Aida, 18 and 20 ct. keep it up, I enjoyed your Flosstube! Lonnie in Texas
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed your video and can certainly relate to you as I, too, crossed stitched years ago and only picked it up again in about 2020… and, I am 77 and every day I think…what are you thinking! I have way more started, patterns purchased, and kitted projects than I can possibly finish in my lifetime! I am so envious of these young women that have found this wonderful hobby at such a young age! However, even knowing that I can never finish everything I am loving the fact that I can stitch every day on whatever I want…retirement is a wonderful thing! I plan to binge watch the rest of your videos and get caught up! In the meantime I wish you happy stitching! From Florida in the winter and Illinois in the summer 😊
Welcome to FlossTube. I really enjoyed your first video and looking forward to future videos. I also live in CNY, Fair Haven. I’m sure you have heard of it since you use to sail around Lake Ontario 😉. Have you ever heard of Stitching Between the Lines? I believe Pam might live in your area. Getting ready to watch your 2nd video.
What a wonderful visit with you. You remind me so much of my sweet grandmother. She passed all of her craftiness to me. I too knit, crochet, and quilt. I look forward to your craft room tour. ~Pam
What a small world - I also live in Ontario County! Wintering in Florida this year, but prior to retirement, I worked in Canandaigua and we live in Gorham. Your room is lovely, good call on switching the larger room for your crafts and the smaller room for sleeping. Like many other folks, I have also dabbled in lots of crafts. I first started cross stitching over 40 years ago - it was hard to even find supplies way back then. When our kids were little, there just wasn't time for much craft work, but I started quilting 25 years or so ago, and that is where most of my room is taken up now. I do some cross stitching, though, and recently took my Pandemic back out. I'm excited to see another stitcher so close by, and look forward to future vlogs.
Yay for you for starting a floss tube channel! Very brave! You did a great job for your first one. Good luck getting your room the way you want it and look forward to a tour.
Love your flosstube and your craft room. I'm a cross stitching grandma too. So glad I have a passion and a great Facebook and fosstube community in my retired years.
Enjoyed your first floss tube. Did you make your cloth project bags? Funny how tastes change. I'm also one that right now I'm not interested in samplers, however; I have seen a few that I like, especially ones from Silver Creek Samplers. The Beauty and the Beast will be stunning!
thought I commented but haven't seen it show up...... Just need to say - LOVE your flosstube, love your room. Love that you are living your life and are inspiring so many of us at the moment. I'm in Ontario and so cute you referenced cruising on Lake Ontario. going over to watch #2 now :)
Your stitching looks beautiful. I like your craft room too. I live in a 1200 square foot house and have very little room left to store things. I collect dolls and other craft supplies. Oh boy I wish we could build on but it will not work. My taste have changed on pattern choices also. Happy stitching.
I can tell you downsizing is not for the faint of heart. I did donate alot of yarn. It just comes down to what I have room for. I am only a collector in the craft area
Hi from Colorado! So glad I found you! I love your wips. Your pandemic is amazing even if it does turn out short. Looking forward to seeing the start of your Leeds Sampler. I just bought it recently. Haven't stitched with Sulky yet so we'll see how you like it. Love your socks and aphcan colors. Jealous of your craft room...looks great. Happy stitching!
I can't believe this is your first video. You're a natural. I'm close to Hobby House as well. I've been known to visit more than once a week. So dangerous. I'll go in for a couple of thread choices & I come out with a bag of random stuff. I'll be visiting with you again.
On the one you ran out of fabric.... what about sewing the stitched aida piece to the additional fabric prior to finishing stitching. May then you can tweak the pattern if needed to cover your seam line ? It's just a thought. Maybe try it first with some scrap aida and see if you can really line it up holes (kinda like matching plaids when sewing) then cover the seam with stitching. I'm sorry that happen to you.
I have been thinking exactly that. I have the piece of fabric that was cut off the piece I am stitching so I will sew that back on by hand so I can match up the holes well and see what happens
Hi I Federica (@puntocrocetta).. I don't know if you already find a way to fix Pandemic that your version is gorgeous 😍 I'm going to share with my experience because it happened to me too. I started this enormous table cloth in 2002 still not finished but almost done. When I started it didn't know thare were different type of fabric and count. So at 9ne point I realized thare wasn't enough fabric.. so what I did was erased enough row and fix the patter to fix 8n my fabric not an easy way but in my opinion for pandemic could works 💪💪
Your stitching and your sewing room are gorgeous! Your pieces are beautiful! Pandemic is amazing! I would sew another piece fabric to the bottom and continue stitching. It’s almost full coverage so I don’t think a seam would really show. You are a quilter and would make it almost invisible. If you pulled a thread and followed it closely I don’t think anyone but you would know! Don’t give up on it yet!! 👍👍🧵🪡✂️😊
What a wonderful first Flosstube! You are a natural in front of the camera. Your stitching is phenomenally gorgeous! I love your craft room and the unique way you have organized it! Looking forward to many more Flosstube!
I, too, am here from Two Needles Pulling Thread. So glad I came over. We have quite a bit in common. I too quilt and put cross stitch aside for quite awhile to only quilt. Last March I fell on ice and broke both right ankle bones and dislocated them. Surgery and major rehab came next and I couldn’t stand to cut fabric or use my foot for my sewing machine. Out came some cross stitch. Wow, had things changed. Dyed fabric, over dyed floss and silks. Not a lot of back stitching, yay! I turned 75 last May, I am working on Snow Village and I follow Stitchin Mommy and am starting the Quaker Temp chart. I’m caught up and it’s going to be gorgeous. Your stitcheries are gorgeous, especially the one with the beautiful variegated floss that you don’t have enough fabric for. How long have you been working on that one? Looking forward to your next Flosstube!
I'm so glad Missy Timberlake said to watch you! Love your stitching, your room, and you! I, too, downsized, had to purge from stitching wayyy back when like you, and had a reality check, too. Happy to know things I won't do are not just sitting in a box, but being used. You are inspiring. See you in next video. Barbara
You have some pretty wips..looking forward to seeing your progress on them. Your pandemic color choice is beautiful. If that was me, I would stitch on the piece as far as possible and then call it done and frame it. It is stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Hi! Several of my fave floss tubers have mentioned you lately, so thought I'd come have a peak and I'm glad I did. Someone probably already mentioned this by now but if not .. I haven't done it myself, but I've heard of other stitchers who have stitched fabric back on to their piece BEFORE they stitched what was needed - particularly if it would mostly be covered by stitching. Just a thought. Going to watch #2 now. Steph in NJ
Great first video ! I heard about you from Missy from Two needles pulling Thread. I’m also a New York State girl, born in Gloversville and lots of family in Saranac Lake , spent many summers there. Love your little sewing room and have thought about doing the same here! My bedroom is huge and I could utilize the space for all my “ stuff” I’m using the smaller bedroom now but I may change that ! Thanks for the inspiration and I love all your projects, the Elephant parade is perfect for the baby sampler !🥰 I subscribed and look forward to your next Flosstube!
What a wonderful first Flosstube. I very much enjoyed your projects. Moving is so much of a challenges especially downsizing. Brilliant idea switching rooms. Good luck with your 2023 plans. Your craft room is wonderful.
Congrats on your new channel! Missy from Two Needles Pulling Thread recommended you. I was so surprised to hear you are in my hometown of Shortsville! Great flosstube! We share birthdays, happy belated birthday! And yes if hubby would switch bedroom to smaller one i would have a great craft room.lolLots alphabets on pinterest for free. Is it too close to stitch then sew the fabric on and maybe be enough to frame close? Not sure how much room you have left. That colour is beautiful. Oh the cardinal pattern, wow! Did you have a problem finding it!? So if doing rows how is it you haven’t gotten full squares cos my first thought was when I do a haed and so it square i get column lines sometimes. I too get confused on haeds lol restarting one after 4 pages done. Be great to see a tour. And thanks for making a floss tube, I will be back.
Welcome to Flosstube, what a great first video. I love all your projects - and your room looms like a small paradise 😍 I am looking forward to seeing your progress and spending more stitchy time with you ☺️

I see you aren’t far Hobby House Needleworks, I love visiting there when I’m in NY and I will be going to a retreat there in October.
Loved your stitching! Your Pandemic is gorgeous! I would stitch the rest on the other piece of fabric and just attach them and just like a lot of things associated with the pandemic things didn’t go smoothly or as expected.
WOW what a wonderful stitcher you are. I have problems with my eyes and I only stitch small projects on 14 count Adia but at least I"m stitching. Love your 1st video and looking forward to seeing more of your stitching and finishes.
I learned how to cross stitch on aida and haven't been brave enough to try something else yet. I need to use a lighted magnifying lamp when I stitch unless I have good natural lighting available.
Enjoyed this flosstube, I can assist with the lettering ,just need to get info to get it to you. Let me know. I have two new great grands I've been stitching up a storm for. Hugs from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Linda

It is a challenge for sure but there is nothing wrong with using aida. I use magnifiers
I learned how to cross stitch on aida and haven't been brave enough to try something else yet. I need to use a lighted magnifying lamp when I stitch unless I have good natural lighting available.
