The most OP was clearly Pikachu.
Let me just point out it only went down to DESTINY BOND, heck, Rillaboom gets bodied by Physical moves!
Rillaboom lost in all of Leon's 3 matches in the tornament, but pikachu only lost due to destiny bond so pikachu is the only pokemon in the tornament that didn't really lost against another pokemon unlike Rillaboom that lost 3 times and he even lost against leon's one sided battle against Alain

Well who didn't see that coming? One thing I would like to point out is how the battle between Leon and Alain wasn't as bad as we thought it was. Yes, Alain lost, but he did something nobody else could do, defeat Leon's beast of a Rillaboom with only two Pokemon. Diantha needed 5 Pokemon to take it down and Ash needed 3. Let that sink in
That’s true! Especially cuz Rillaboom Gmaxed in that battle too. Chesnaut was a good mon, I only wish Alain used someone else instead of Malamar

the first part was great, rillaboom vs chesnaught, charizard, they are really good in my opinion, but everything afterwards was far too rushed

Steven Mega Metagross and Leon's Charizard fought Pikachu in a proper 1v1 when it was the last one standing so I don't think it makes them weak

@@thatboyminus Not considering the number of KOs I think the other Champion Aces are pretty much equal in strength but Pikachu and Charizard are in a different league compared to the others and it was clear in the final 1v1 b/w them
After seeing this Arc, now it makes sense why Cynthia uses Destiny Bond on Pikachu. She knew Pikachu was a fucking problem. LOL
Cynthia was the smartest trainer in the whole tournament in my opinion
Garchomp would have crushed Pikachu. Unlike Gastrodon, Garchomp's no pushover so Cynthia didn't need to use Destiny Bond on Pikachu.
yeah, it makes a lot of sense why. cynthia knew ash's pikachu was a massive threat, so thats why she used destiny bond to take out the yellow electric mouse

Great video unbiased rankings of Pokémon in the M8 tournament. When it comes to Leon’s true ace it will always be his Charizard in previous M8 tournaments it picked up three victories against Lance’s Gyarados, Raihan’s Duraludon and Flint’s Infernape. Leon’s Charizard has a better winning record 6-1 in the anime than his Rillaboom record that’s 7-3. But fair point to why Rillaboom can be Leon’s ace it’s his clean up house pokemon and acts like an ace pokemon in battles.

While comparing when ratios can give you a pretty good idea of the power of each individual Pokémon, I think you should've taken into account how many losses as well. Because some of the early eliminations didn't have nearly as many fights.

For me most disappointment is they didn't give us alian vs ash rematch
Rillaboom literally fought three battle damaged pokemon of ash, while defeating 4 healthy pokemon of diantha and only lost to the ace, like sheesh, ash didnt even use lucario to fight rillaboom, it took dragonite, sirfetch and dracovish, gengar nor lucario fought rillaoboom, but we all saw how insane leons charizard was, doesnf matter how many u defeated, if you havent lost and your stonger then its your ace, leons charizard fought many aces and hasnt lost, which showed how strong he is, leon likes to fight to his fullest against most pokemon, his charizard could wipe em all if he wanted to, but leon isnt like most people assume, he wants all of his pokemon to have a chance to battle, but he wants his ace to have a chance to battle all of the trainers ace pokemon
Mega Metagross washed Pikachu up worse than Leon's Charizard. In their respective 1v1s, Metagross fodderized Pikachu.
Furthermore, Diantha's base Gardevoir effortlessly took out a weakened Rillaboom with no issues, and it was repeatedly stated Charizard was Leon's ace.
The list is objectively wrong if you put Rillaboom on top above all else and Meta Metagross on bottom despite its ability to fodderize Pikachu worse than Charizard did.
But the numbers don’t lie 😤
@Minus win-rate is one type of metric. Ash's Kingler not losing a battle in the Indigo League doesn't mean it would be as strong as Ash's Torkoal, despite the latter having a worse win-loss ratio, since his Torkoal almost defeated Brandon's (Frontier Brains are canonically Elite Four level and Brandon was the strongest amongst them) Registeel.
The same applies here. While Charizard and Metagross didn't rack up many wins compared to Pikachu or Rillaboom, they're undoubtedly stronger battlers, not including Pikachu's asspull power-up.
Not that long before the Master's 8 tournament, even Volkner's Electivire gave Pikachu an uphill battle to climb.
When it comes to your list however, even if Rillaboom racked up the most wins compared to other Pokémon, it couldn't hold a candle to Alain's Mega Zard and Diantha's base Gardevoir, despite the latter two racking up much less wins.
If you replace Rillaboom with Leon's Charizard, he'd score the same amount of wins at the very least.

People really dont undsrstand that leon wanted his charizard to fight ace pokemon, thats all, its to show which ace is the strongest, so ofcourse he didnt use it fighting multiple pokemon, wheres the fun if they cant use there full power, leon was almost disappointed knowing that he had two and ash only had one,til the end they went all out, why else would u think he used charizard to fight alains charizard right away, and used it while fighting mega gardevoir who was still at its fullest
