Great segment! I am a Bryan Adams 1972 Cougar! I became a teacher because of the wonderful teachers who encouraged and taught me! Teaching is a passion and teachers never get enough recognition for their hard work!
I'm proud to have a friend like Severo Perez, Jr. Too bad my entire family ran away from home, due to extreme violence from hateful parents. And Severo just got a new liver! And covid-19, in the hospital. But he's making a comeback! Love him & his wife, Sandra! We presented the Garland Police Awards over 5 years! And he brought me home after my L shoulder surgery! Brought me a tv, & a couch to my home, to help me! Severo shares Bible verses everyday on fb!
This video and story is beyond awesome! When I enrolled in college "for real" as I call it, 9 years after graduating from High School, one of the things they had during the admission process was "Thank a Teacher" from your past. Being 9 years out of High School...you might think you have no idea if the Teacher you want to thank is still there? But when you grow up in a "small town", it's easy to find out those answers. So I sent those Teachers a special thank you as part of the college admissions process. Don't know if they got it, I assume they did and I never went back to my old High School to find out. I assume they did get it since both Teachers were still working back then.
My daughter is a teacher. It's not a job but a passion that true teachers have. She teach's the kids in an elementary school that most people would leave behind. She has very trying days but at the same time she has a job she loves because she loves the kids. She is truly an inspiration to her father and to the kids.
Way to go Mrs. Brown!!!! You are so amazing and I am so proud of YOU! I feel very thankful and honored to say that you were my teacher; the best teacher I ever had! Steve Griffith
