Best video I've seen in along time!!! :D Why can't these types of videos get the publicty it deserves?! Instead of those stupid rap vids with naked girls and them just rapping in the camera BORING!!! I LOVE COCONUT RECORDS!! and it's dreamy video!! Thanks for giving me hope that good music is still out there :)
Gia Coppola is a real promise. The story is delicious: we find the taste of "Nouvelle Vague". At last, Kirsten Dunst is perfect - as usually. She is the only one who can embody the girl dreamed.
@FwibbleFwabble Films are motion pictures, so I would consider a music video to be a film. And as a matter of fact she does direct films, from the three projects I've seen her direct this was the only one that was a music video. I would have expected a fan of 2001 and Louis CK to have a better understanding of substance. Gia Coppola doesn't have to be talented to get these gigs, the last name does all the work.
It looks a bit bitter, the feeling behind, at least for me is that the ghost of Sofia Coppola is around. Good try there has to be some talent in Gia and she tries to differentiate, but she' ll never never never make me feel like Sofia does. Sofia has a great past, Gia has a great aunt!
@FwibbleFwabble So it's okay to get paid for making bad films if you're 23? I really don't understand your argument. And it's very possible to tell stories in three minutes, directors do it all the time. If I had a family member that did mediocre work, I would not hire them out of respect for them and myself. You have to earn your right to be an artist, having people hand it to you isn't right. Gia is a good example of "its who you know not what you know"
Gia Coppola is living off her families fame, everything I've seen her do so far is just people or things hanging around doing trivial things. Hipster videos with a variety of color corrections. I would like to actually see her tell stories rather than filming beautiful people. Sure the picture quality looks great but so what.
Jason Schwartzman is so cute.
wow, i'm just discovering this in 2024
Years later and I’m still here listening
Okay, my thoughts...
1. Song is goddamn beautiful
2. Kirsten is so pretty
3. Jason is cute
4. They are a good TV couple
My favorite video of all time. Amazing to see where Gia is now.
No one pulls off the wink like Kirsten Dunst.
Why Jason stopped making songs? He is so damn good
Busy making movies
I just love this video and the music too. When I'm listening, I just feel quite nostalgic ...
talented man i love all of his films as well
Gia is so amazingly talented
Loved it...and it really made me want coffee! Well that and Jason.
pls jason is so adorable
WHY CAN'T MY LIFE BE THIS VIDEO
I wish I could find the Solobob song featured at the end of this video... :( It's so good.
I hated Jason's character in Scott Pilgrim. I had no idea he was one of my favorite artists.
You made me swallow my gum!
i adore it ... awesome as always
They’re so cute😢
JASON IN THISS SKSJKNKNAKSKC
King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette in a music video, just what we needed
Contrived as fuck. His "I'm resting" face is the same as my "i'm drunk and defenestration is possible" eye roll. I wonder if there's a word for that.

what song was that riff from at the end, when he throws his notebook?
@TheFunkadelicFan well, it happens that she has just won the best actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. Not bad

I know the song at the end is by Solobob, but does anyone know the title of it?

Best part is at 2:30

I can see Godard's immense influence on the director, kirsten dunst as brigette bardot.
palo alto
i thought i was hearing thomas mars... ironic
Maybe if I was high?
Shit is like Weezer meets Cool Ethan lol
