So blessed to be able to play with you guys back in the day in Ohio. I’ll never forget how genuine you guys were, and how much you loved god. I’ll forever admire that
"Shiver" may have seemed like a goof, but it was a serious comment on superficial or fake Christianity. A little satire makes a tough message easier to accept.
Every time I see this I almost cry because this is one of the last shows before the venue the attic died , and a plea for purging broke up, it's nice to be in this video for .0005 seconds
I thought this was the Attic! I've been there on numerous occasions & even got the mic during an August Burns Red, & Oh Sleeper show there! The ABR Christmas time show's on RUclips somewhere, & in my "I was there!" playlist on my channel.
@Colcalebcat read through the book of Psalms, there's a lot of "Oh my God"s in there. That commandment is less about misusing His name (which isn't God, it's YHWH), and more about misrepresenting His name. I'd say Plea represents Christ pretty well in bringing light into a dark world. Just saying :)
@senorcharlie1 after listening to it over and over, I think you're right. But it's a "Oh my go---sh" and the last part is drowned out by intro. When you say oh my gosh though, it's the same thing. Why else in the world would we say "oh my gosh" than to "shapen up" "oh my god"?
@Darickxuma What show was it? I've seen them a couple of times and I know I saw them once recently there, but I don't know if it was this show. I tried to find myself if I'm there I'm near the front.
These guys were with Shai Hulud and Counterparts at a venue near my house some number of months ago. I though about going to see them, but wasn't too big on APFP at the time and I was too lazy . Fast forward about half a year, now I deeply regret not going to see them.
@Colcalebcat Yes he does. God has changed his mind many times. He protected a murders named Cain. Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened in Exodus. He repented that he had made man on the earth. God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them in Johna
@ACslaught3r 2. I was just upset that brothers in Christ would post something of them publicly saying that. I mean WHY??? WHY would you randomly want to have that in there. They have SO much to say, and they decide to do that? THAT's my point. Demon Hunter says oh my God in songs, but I feel they're totally in proper context.
Such a different time. I do miss these guys so many years later. This still was their best song
man coming back to this song as an adult makes it hit different
