Daniel really knows his shit. Been the only one I trust on raptors. Just got stranded 12+ miles out in Ocala National forest last weekend. Bike just SHUT off wouldn’t start. Assumed it overheated. No cell signal. Finally got it started. Got on main road. Shut off and wouldn’t start again for a while. Got back home in my city. Immediately researched engine code 33. Looked on RUclips and sure enough Daniel just posted a video 1 month ago about the start relay bolt being super loose And SURE AS SHIT. I looked and mine was barely one or two threads. Thanks Yamaha. Y’all had 1 job to do Side note. I’m ordering that early on fan relay cause my fan hardly comes on and I seen temps over 200 constantly last weekend
Thank you for doing this video, I really appreciate how you break down positive and negative. I'll be bringing my 2022 stock to you to build!!, go northwest!!
I run ASV levers but my setup is pretty custom for my xc build my the ASV levers you showed are all missing the barrel spacer as well. I’ve seen this a ton guys throw them out. My bars are free and clear as well just a tiny start button with a custom built harness.
I'm guilty of running ODI and a thicker CNCed lever on my older machines. You are totally correct, it does shorten the throw. Was going to put a set on my '19 Raptor but now you have me reconsidering it. I do like the fold-back design so if you decide to get all crazy, send it, and manage to flop it over out there on the trails you don't bust the lever clean off or bend it back further.
Thank you for the video! I was about to get aftermarket levers for my new raptor. I just make final decisions, and I would keep it stuck much posible I just upgrade full exhaust but that's about it .
Awesome video man! Really good info before I went out and bought new levers and grips for my raptor700! Question to piggy back off the clutch lever, do aftermarket thumb throttles give off the same tension issues?
Thank you for posting this. I have the exact same 2023 and just installed new bars, ASV F4 shorty levers and those thick odi grips 🤦🏻♂️. After watching this I went out and confirmed everything in the video with a digital caliper. OEM levers went right back on. So how do I order the lever you have on your raptor?
Maybe on a ATV/quad .But motocross ASV are the best levers you can get . THEY DO MAKE THE PULL EASIER PLUS THE SHORTY AND PRO PERCH WITH ON THE FLY ADJUSTMENT IS GREAT.Slso they are made in the USA 🇺🇸 and you can tell .I have known many people who have spent more on oem levers cause they broke so many per year they could have just bought the ASV and got a 4 year warranty where they replace them with no Problems . now I might buy the MAGURA hydraulic clutch since it’s only like 60 bucks more then a set of ASV levers
Do you ship internationally? And is it normal in the Raptor when I stop giving gas while driving and leave the clutch, to downshift without touching the gas or the clutch? Thanks
@@MrCuervoRacing thank you for the answer! Unfortunately I am from Israel... Another small question for you, I feel that the rear brake lever is a bit "sticky" that it is a bit difficult to return and there is a little free play. Tips for handling the case? Raptor 700 2022 SE
I put the asv c6 clutch lever with the pro perch and it has none of the issues you talked about in this video. I just went and measured it. It has just over 500 thou cable pull, clears the switch block and has just over 4½ inches of lever pull. The lever can be adjusted to have even more length of pull than the stock figures you mentioned you like to see. Ran this lever for years and no issues. I just measures everything before I put it on so it would work the clutch properly.
Thoughts on stock lever setup with Rogue grips? '06 700. I have somewhat big hands and don't totally hate the stock lever setup, but I just happened to put Rogue grips on recently when I put a Precision Shock and Vibe mount and a CCP stabilizer on. Obviously trying to eliminate some arm soreness here... Haha. Thanks!
Is it normal for a all stock raptor to click hard into gear. First gear often clunks when going in. Not to hard but since it doesn’t do it always it seems weird. Same with reverse sometimes the reverse light comes on but i go and try to reverse and it clunks into reverse pretty hard
Thank you for posting, I just got the F4 pro series (shorty blue) that says on box shaped like stock levers. Does this make a difference or No? With Fast Flex handlebars setup and haven't decided on grips yet.. Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.
Thing is though, the difference in pull doesnt really matter as long as the shaft rotates enough to push the bearing to uncouple the clutch plates... you dont need to go the full distance. I have some chinese lever on my wr450, minimum slack, no clutch slip on 5th gear, and the bite point is about 1/4 to 1/2 of the lever pull. Anything closer than half the throw to the bar is just for extra comfort because it's easier to hold it closer to the bar... It's the same reason why in race cars you dont have a long clutch travel like in regular cars... in regular cars it's so long so you can comfortably extend your leg and hold the clutch in there for long periods of time. Maybe the ATV crowd is just special and doesnt know how to adjust the clutch lever, maybe I'm wrong. The most important takeaway from this video is keeping your cable fresh, lubricated and adjusted. My addition to this is that aftermarket levers could mess up the cable end over time so it's worth it to check it once in a while.
I just bought the correct set up after talking to them. I get all the adjustments and the proper clearance and pull. Everying this video is warning about is not an issue with the set up I got from asv. Just measured it all now.
The odi grips alot of quad guys are using the odi full waffle grips which is oversized like you said making the handlebar a wider diameter. Which it makes it harder to hold on to the handlebars resulting in arm pump. Easiest solution get the odi lock on grips half waffle .

Where can I get that early on fan relay????

What about the other lock on grips? Still the same issue?
WOW, I really appreciate this video!!! I do pretty much all my own work and know a thing or two...I learned something new today.
What’s about the Nicecnc adjustable break and clutch with the pull clutch cable arm push lever

Can I take a dual port exhaust head off and older raptor and install it on a newer single port exhaust raptir

if i extend the adjustable asvs all the way out, will it fix the problem?

Who makes the pegs on that blue raptor?
Could you adjust the asv to have the correct distance from the bars?
Very far away
So if we set up asv to have the correct distance, will it function properly or still burn out clutch?
Great question, I would like to know this also?
Yeah they have to be adjusted correctly first.
What about running a magura clutch with a ASV lever? Does the hydraulic system squeeze better than a cable clutch?
same issues with the matura, actually worse.

Daniel how do you eliminate the clutch switch? The cable on the stock clutch perch?
Jump the connector it willbstart in gear when u do so
I bought asvs, junk.. took it off and replaced with a 30 dollar pro taper lever. Lost half my clutch pull with asv

Looking to get a raptor within next few weeks had a old 660 back in the day, but what is the clear clutch cover or lockup case mean ?
Works Connection makes a great set up.
how much is the lever that you sell ?
90 shipped
ASV F3 have worked fine for me. 9 years on stock clutch and it had no discoloration either. Idk about other grips.
I've got ASV levers but I also have the ASV perch and I didn't see any of the bikes with a different perch so that should make a difference right?
Both of these have the lever and perch assy. There are many variations of them. The onesnive seen all have the same issue

That combo is fine, but the travel is reduced some, so be cautious of adjustments
Is there a good hydrolic setup that can just bolt up outside the case?
The one on the market ive seen has issues, basically same problem

What if it's because the guys with aftermarket levers ride harder, this is April fools
That don't matter when you have a slingshot clutch..
It actually is even more important
What about using the perch spacer ? Will that correct the problem with the asv clutch lever?
