The funniest part about what you guys said, about “if only any other character took the time to pass down the information” is that since they didn’t, the virus was allowed to spread. Rose Burns character knew the boy would be a carrier and “not really immune” just like she described his mother. Hawkeyes character told his buddy to “get them across the channel” and the sister did what she could to try and hide the fact her brother was bitten. One sneeze from him, any one of his infected cells gets into another person, and you get the end result: the virus spreading to Paris. In the end, the Code Red was the way to go, if the boy died then the virus would have died when they bombed everything.
Everybody gives Don a hard time at the beginning but the harsh reality is he did all he could do. The wife decided to prioritize a kid that she just met and Don isn’t fighting off that many of those thing barehanded. He did what 99% of people would’ve done in that situation.

7:00 he was fighting the infected with a crowbar. During him fighting them downstairs, he lost the crowbar which is why he also ran upstairs. There was one zombie between him and the other 2 and about 2 or 3 infected in the doorway. He for sure couldn't do anything if he tried to fight them off without a weapon.

First of, thank you for reacting to the first 28 Days Later and reacting to 28 Weeks Later - the most polarised sequel to its predecessor. Means a lot and when the day comes, I’ll be seeing yer reaction to 28 Years Later soon when it’s out on our own film screens someday. The music piece for Don’s transformation into a zombie and killing his wife was originally used for Frank's death from 28 Days Later and that broke our hearts when we see a guy who is hoping there would be civilization left in the UK after the rage virus devastated the country die after saying his final "I'm sorry" and "I love you" to his daughter. And now, we see Don, a guy who became very regretful for leaving Alice - his wifey and mum of their two kids - to die, saying what would be his final "I'm sorry" and "I love you" to her before turning into a monster who is fighting within his rage, hence the name "rage virus". So Frank and Don have got things in common: they're both fathers, they were married before the Rage virus outbreak, they got infected in a different way (Frank from blood drop from corpse and Don from a kiss with a carrier) and their last words before turning included "I'm sorry" and "I love you". P.S. Frank gets gunned down immediately after he turns by assault rifles while Don gets gunned down with an assault rifle by his daughter later on One last thing I gotta get off my mind: Don Harris should’ve had a redemption story-arc in which Alice doesn’t infect him but a US soldier or two would end up getting infected by Alice. Soldiers would come in on General Stone’s orders and forcibly remove Don outta the room before he would kiss Alice, confused and wondering whats going on until he realizes that she is infected yet immune. The troops then heavily guard the area, with Don heartbroken by whats happened to his wife and driven by guilt for abandoning her. That is until Alice accidentally bokes on one of the soldiers’ face, leading to her very own death at the hands of the two infected (instead of infected Don), getting killed the same way she did and thus causing the Rage virus outbreak in District One. When Andy gets separated from Tammy & Major Scarlet Levy, Don will put pressure on NATO to track his son down and then get chased again by infected who get gunned down by the troops, who also have to kill uninfected. Don would’ve joined not only his two kids (who are grateful he’s alive yet pissed off at him for lying) but also Scarlet and Doyle from the very moment they escape from District One before the firebombing commences. Rest of the film goes as normal - Doyle getting set ablaze by the US troops, Scarlet beaten to death with assault rifle by an Infected - by the end of the storyline I came up with for Don, he will make the ultimate heroic sacrifice by pouring a loada perfume (the rage zombies’ catnip) all over himself, admit his fault and saying his final “I’m sorry” and “I love you” - he would inject himself with his son’s Rage-infected blood so that he would distract a herd/mob of the infected, maybe beat and kill a few or a bunch at a time. Don’s transformation into a zombie in this scene the way it’s filmed and choreographed remains the same in my version but he would’ve looked at his two kids and control his own rage - exhibiting form of sadness knowing that he’s a goner. Then he runs off. The infected crowd would gain upper hand at Don, who then lights himself on fire due to the perfume being flammable, thus setting off chain reaction to the infected crowd being set ablaze, all of em including Don then die at the hail of gunfire by NATO troops. How about them apples?
Something to be excited about, 28 years later (a trilogy) is on its way! Danny Boyle, Alex Garland and Cillian all attached and starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and Jodie Comer. First film is in post production already!!
That's actually crazy, I never connected that Rose Bryne was the mother in Insidious and the prissy Maid of Honor in Bridesmaids! What a rangeeee, OMG! I love Imogen Poots that plays Tammy (the daughter). Those stunning blue eyes and sharp features. She played a lesbian daughter in the V for Vendetta sub-story (Valarie). I wish she got more recognition.
the movie is very solid until you look at it from a realistic point of view. like this whole thing happened again because of the worst military in the history of ever made every wrong decision you can make. bringing in civilians to a hotzone. giving a janitor high level security clearance. there being near zero proper guard protocols especially when a person that's a known carrier is brought in and literally no one is guarding her. putting all civilians in a single place that is not properly sectioned off. and that is also not guarded. and another issue is how the Infected are much different in this compared to the first movie. they mostly bite in this one. and they have zombie like endurance which is weird (during the helicopter scene an infected is walking with half its torso missing). it's good at first glance but the logic part of the movie is completely out the window.
I do think this is a good standalone movie, and appreciate how everyone loves the up in production value, but one of my personal pet peeves is sequels that basically undo the ending of the first movie. At least they didn't include a shot of Jim, Hannah, and Selena lying dead in the field.
Really solid sequel! Its not perfect but it gets the job done and the action is so good! Unfortunately in these situations someone like Andy and his mother are hazards and they should ve been taken care of immediately unfortunately the order to do so with the mom didnt happen in time. The original is still better imo but the sequel is not far behind. I usually watch these back to back 👌.
I get your reactions to many of the actors in this, it is a stacked cast. But I just need to point out that when this came out one of the most recognisable actors (especially for us Scots) was Robert Carlyle! The guy who played the dad.
Also, this, "Queen of the Damned" and "Dawn of the Dead" have my FAVORITE horror movie opening sequences of the 2000's! I am so excited for 28 Years Later!
What doesn’t make any sense to me is how the infected can live for 28 days before they starve to death, but what about thirst? We never see them drinking anything and it’s like they’re too savage to even thinking about something like that. If that’s the case, they’d all be dead in under a week from dehydration alone.
This is the dumbest comment I've ever read. First of all there's no such thing as being too savage to think about drinking water, that's not something you need to think about, animals drink when they're thirsty. Second, you really expect a see a scene in a horror movie where a zombie drinks water?
There’s been talk for years from Danny Boyle about developing 28 MONTHS LATER. But at this point he’s actually developing 28 YEARS LATER, according to IMDb
I've watched this movie a bunch of times, but it has been many years since the last. So it wasn't until I just watched your reaction that I realized our final girl with the piercing blue eyes is Imogen Poots. Who I absolutely adore, and just so happens to be in Green Room. 😉

Guys... guys... guys - guys Don beaten only ONE infected at a time when they arent surrounded and with a weapon at hand, and if you remember 6 seconds ago, the place was getting swarmed with them downstairs and they had nothing to fight them off with - and if you were literally caught in between freedom and saving someone who thinks the kid that they just met and one who lured a horde to your house is worth saving - what would you do in that situation? this is showing the harsh reality when confronted with a life or death situation where there is no option but to leave them - you're not superman, you would run the eff out of there he did not chose morale in that moment and if he did, everyone would be dead - he made the right decision no matter how grim it is
This movie terrified me when I was younger! The adrenaline filled action and chase sequences are honestly so exhausting to just watch 😅. Also I think a “28 MonthsLater” is in the works! Someone correct me if I’m wrong
I felt so bad for the mom after Don kissed her and turned into a zombie and kill3d her in the hospital. She was traumatized after all that time and then found out Don was alive, Don had no idea she was a carrier. She was so ready to forgive him after he left them alone to die in the beginning, he knew better but he literally had no choice. Always be catious, especially during a zombie outbreak! I am hoping the new "A Quiet Place: Day 1" & "The Strangers: Chapter 1" get the same treatment from audiences being as it has an all new cast of characters but set in the same universe.
28 Days Later hits harder for me, and overall fills me with more dread, but I would still call 28 Weeks Later a good sequel, just not great. It has some silly scenes and logic that bring it down a bit for me. Still better than most zombie movies though. As a fan of the genre, the opening scene alone almost makes the movie great
Yeah 28 days hits different because of the low budget film quality and the handheld camera feel. It felt more like you were there, this one was great but it felt like I was watching a movie- if that makes sense
@@aazo5 Good comment. I agree. It’s definitely a worthy sequel. Two scenes that I hate are the helicopter scene (just made the movie feel cheap) and the scene where Don starts infecting everyone in that big parking garage or whatever it is where everyone is locked up. I'm glad you both watched this movie, such a great series! Keep up the great content and also you both should watch Black Summer, another great t.v show of zombies.
The beginning of 28 Weeks is as good if not better than the original, but the film as a whole is not; however, what I love about 28 Weeks is the allegory for the American occupation of Iraq & the cast is packed, but packed before most of those actors were well-known my American audiences. Robert Carlyle (the dad) is perhaps the most well-known actor in the cast at the time the film was released. I do feel like the film had more potential than what is on screen. Yeah, to mirror what happened earlier when the dad kissed the mom and passed the infection, the contact between the brother and sister likely also passed the infection from the brother to the sister. Now, the infection is on mainland Europe, (specifically Paris, France,) so the question is, how does it spread from there. Personally, I think it becomes a great opportunity to create a series of films as an anthology franchise, à la what John Carpenter wanted to do for Halloween-Different group of people we follow, different director, etc. Imagine one film takes us down to the Iberian peninsula where people are trying to flee into North Africa. Perhaps another group are trapped in Germany and have to go full-Assault On Precinct 13. Survivors in Italy. The Russian army defending their border, à la WWII. Survivors & Infected crossing from Greece into Turkey. Etc., etc. 28 Years is and has been in “development hell.”
That is the harsh reality of living in a zombie apocalypse, if you make a dumb move you get left behind. Wife should have left that kid, sorry not sorry.
I will always be on the father's side, first it was the mother's fault for not escaping to look for the child (which is fine, that is the right thing to do, but it was not her son and she still had 2 waiting for her back) then the father By running away (whether because she thought about her children or out of fear) at least she didn't leave the children orphaned, again maybe it's not the right thing to do morally but it's what I would do in that situation if I had children and that happened.
Let's hope in this very unstable geopolitical situation you never get separated from a child you love, because someone just like you might just say, screw that kid, every man for himself! That's why the WOMAN went after the kid!!!
Spoiler alert, I'm about to get on my soap box! If you don't like it, don't read! Ok...I am disgusting by everyone saying that they don't blame Don, and that he did the right thing blah, blah, blah! I know it's just a movie, but with our world in the tense situations it's in right now, it hits A nerve! So to all of those of you who say you would do the same, I want you to replace the zombies with Russian soldiers, and the UK with Ukraine. Then tell me if you would leave your spouse and a innocent child to be killed? Words reflect thoughts, be smarter and kinder!!!
People have the nerve to shit on don but idk if people pay attention this man stayed downstairs by himself fighting the horde while everybody else ran he gave them more than enough time to run and get out and the wife wants to fuck it up for someone she doesn’t know and some how he’s the asshole ? He also ran up stairs to go get her when she was yelling …. People are just ridiculous … what happened is all on her 💯

P.S. Frank gets gunned down immediately after he turns by assault rifles while Don gets gunned down with an assault rifle by his daughter later on
One last thing I gotta get off my mind: Don Harris should’ve had a redemption story-arc in which Alice doesn’t infect him but a US soldier or two would end up getting infected by Alice.
Damm I really wanna see that movie
@@cinnamontoastcrunch5665we all wanna see 28 Years Later, we gon live another year or more to see that film
I remember not liking this when I first viewed it and wrote a whole fanfic story. Lol! Now I love it!
Something to be excited about, 28 years later (a trilogy) is on its way! Danny Boyle, Alex Garland and Cillian all attached and starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and Jodie Comer. First film is in post production already!!
Hands down my favorite zombie movie, and that ending with Paris!!!!
In terms of the accents Idris Elba is a Brit but he had to use an American accent too. Because like you said they are playing the American military.
For more 2000s British zombie horror please react to Dead Set!
So underrated! Especially if you’ve ever watched a season of BBUK.
Movie recommendation for you to react to: THE HILLS HAVE EYES (2006), this movie is intense, brutal and disturbing, you'll like it
If they watch this, poor Cody 😭 hell maybe even poor Sergio 😂
Woo, that’s a hard one to watch but I’ll watch with you guys😂
That whole RV scene 😢😢😢
@@TinaBeana85i dont even like thinking about that scene, if they watch, I'll have to sit it out lol
Oh my goodness! The scene where the creep has the woman in the RV
I never noticed how much “Hawkeye” sounds like “Hot Guy” before lmao
7:15 "im taking you with me" where? Rolling down the hill? 😂😂😂
110 views and only 21 likes? C'mon y'all! Show them the love ❤❤❤
them zombies fast asf they would’ve got my ass
28 weeks later will always have the best opening scene
the movie is very solid until you look at it from a realistic point of view. like this whole thing happened again because of the worst military in the history of ever made every wrong decision you can make. bringing in civilians to a hotzone. giving a janitor high level security clearance. there being near zero proper guard protocols especially when a person that's a known carrier is brought in and literally no one is guarding her. putting all civilians in a single place that is not properly sectioned off. and that is also not guarded.
and another issue is how the Infected are much different in this compared to the first movie. they mostly bite in this one. and they have zombie like endurance which is weird (during the helicopter scene an infected is walking with half its torso missing). it's good at first glance but the logic part of the movie is completely out the window.
Someone already said it but I’m saying it again lol do The Hills Have Eyes
I do think this is a good standalone movie, and appreciate how everyone loves the up in production value, but one of my personal pet peeves is sequels that basically undo the ending of the first movie. At least they didn't include a shot of Jim, Hannah, and Selena lying dead in the field.
Nah, they get out. There's a comic following Selena's journey.
How does it undo the ending of the first movie? They just got rescued at some point and left Britain
The opening is one of the best.
Here we f****** go honestly I wish there was a 28 months later 28 years later I really wish there was more sequels to this
Shane Walsh: It ain't hard, man! The right choice is the one that keeps us alive!
I wonder if this will be explained in the new movie since it's set 28 years later when all the infected should have died by then
This is the dumbest comment I've ever read.

I am taking you with me no matter what. Then rip in advance bro she was the one who fucked up by letting the kid in he was so much scared from his voice which meant infected were probably chasing
Guys... guys... guys - guys
Don beaten only ONE infected at a time when they arent surrounded and with a weapon at hand, and if you remember 6 seconds ago, the place was getting swarmed with them downstairs and they had nothing to fight them off with - and if you were literally caught in between freedom and saving someone who thinks the kid that they just met and one who lured a horde to your house is worth saving - what would you do in that situation?
this is showing the harsh reality when confronted with a life or death situation where there is no option but to leave them - you're not superman, you would run the eff out of there
he did not chose morale in that moment and if he did, everyone would be dead - he made the right decision no matter how grim it is
I remember this In my Childhood got me nightmares its really Intense 😂
30:40 “NO YOU CANT, THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY!”
This movie terrified me when I was younger! The adrenaline filled action and chase sequences are honestly so exhausting to just watch 😅. Also I think a
“28 MonthsLater” is in the works! Someone correct me if I’m wrong
28 years later, apparently
Yes, something to watch, glad I opened this app😂
I felt so bad for the mom after Don kissed her and turned into a zombie and kill3d her in the hospital. She was traumatized after all that time and then found out Don was alive, Don had no idea she was a carrier. She was so ready to forgive him after he left them alone to die in the beginning, he knew better but he literally had no choice. Always be catious, especially during a zombie outbreak!
I am hoping the new "A Quiet Place: Day 1" & "The Strangers: Chapter 1" get the same treatment from audiences being as it has an all new cast of characters but set in the same universe.
Not Hawkeye and Insidious Mom! Lmaooooo 😅😅😅❤😂
They could have done that better.
oh hi guys!!! i love to see how you react to the movies 💖
I leave you a recommendation (and I also want to see how you react when you see it) it claims to be the horror movie of the year: "When Evil Lurks". It's from a director and writer from Argentina, you'll love it, it's crazy!!!!
I love 🍉 this time of year, maybe make a watermelon cocktail for the next reaction hehe
Danny boyle the director of 28 days later directed the opening sceens to this.
The Rezort(2015) is another one of my favorite zombie movies!❤

Y'all watched this just in time because they're skipping 28 Months Later, and going straight to 28 Years Later. Should be out this summer or fall!
Have you watched Black Summer ? Great Zombie series
the only time I watched this movie was when it came out back then but I still remember all the scenes that scared the f out of me and this reaction brought it all back lmao great reaction as always
PS: I’m still waiting for “28 years later” 😐
there was a rumor that they are in talks about a third one. but that has been a rumor for a decade lol
Got your wish. June 2025.

Pretty good acting there 👀
I'm glad you both watched this movie, such a great series! Keep up the great content and also you both should watch Black Summer, another great t.v show of zombies.
There is so many puns i wanna make from this film... But I'm going with Hawkdie and I'm not ashamed
YYYEEEESSSS!!! my favorite horror movie
All i see with the Dad is Rumplestiltskin from Once upon a time and im really not mad at it hes so handsome 😍
The first movie was more personable and this movie was scarier IMO. Both are great!
i always thought it was pronounce Bryne not Burns i could be wrong though!
19:43 then how did Don get out of the where his wife was
I will always be on the father's side, first it was the mother's fault for not escaping to look for the child (which is fine, that is the right thing to do, but it was not her son and she still had 2 waiting for her back) then the father By running away (whether because she thought about her children or out of fear) at least she didn't leave the children orphaned, again maybe it's not the right thing to do morally but it's what I would do in that situation if I had children and that happened.
Let's hope in this very unstable geopolitical situation you never get separated from a child you love, because someone just like you might just say, screw that kid, every man for himself! That's why the WOMAN went after the kid!!!
I’ve always hated the kiss scene where he kills her afterwards. I can’t make it through….my heart is racing
I don't know why you needed to get political, just make them home intruders and anyone would get what you mean
They were supposed to make a 28months later but it never happened. I do like the first way better.
You guys should watch once upon a time
10:04 My problem with this reaction video is that you didn't say 'Rose Byrne' enough. 😅 jk
People are just ridiculous … what happened is all on her 💯
Everyone in the movie. Everyone you see died.
The brother and sister survive
@@danielpeckham5520 they most definitely died at the end off screen.
Who else is eating while watching this 🍜 🥡
I dunno if the Avengers would help, I've read Marvel Zombies.
Better than the first one
Please do another scream queens video 😢
