This coaster did in fact spend several years in SBNO status (even being removed from the Wild Waves website) so I was a bit surprised to see it actually return to operational status last year. It's an extremely rough ride, enough that i half expected ambulance chasers waiting at the exit. This is probably my rarest credit though.
@@CanobieCoaster Maybe it's being maintained better now, but I found it a really painful ride, enough that I'd hesitate to ride it again given the chance,
You are a lucky man to get a ride on this! You are correct, it’s a staffing issue so Saturday is the best chance to ride. I’ve been to the park a dozen times in the past 2 years and it’s never been operating. Thanks for the review
We are season pass holders, and this was closed all summer of 2022, so I was shocked to see it open (and actually got to ride it) during a random Fright Fest night last year. This year it was running on opening day, but has been closed every other time we've been this season. Back in the Six Flags days it was always open and had long lines (I'm old lol...I used to go to this park as a little kid when it opened as Enchanted Village in 1977 after moving the rides from Lollipop Park in Bellevue).
I was there 3 times this year and very surprisingly it wasn’t closed a single one of them. The ride that was not open a single time of the 3 though was the pirate ship.
Canobie Coaster would say: This coaster covers just 885 feet or 260 meters. That is shockingly little track, even for a wild mouse, but the ride still has a satisfactory length to it. That just shows how compact the elements are. In terms of pacing, this mouse is pretty good thanks to the lack of trim brakes. Then the ride tracks quite well. Some may find the laterals in the second half...

Those L&T Systems and Zamperla wild mouse coasters were designed have shallow drops but turns in the second half with sharp and abrupt laterals on the ones that ran and run with less braking. Canobie Coaster would say: I actually enjoy those abrupt laterals, but I know that... A) is for everyone. B) isn't for everyone.
I was so lucky I rode this. I got a season pass since I live about 2 hours and a half from here not a good park but it’s about all we got. Anyways last weekend I saw this while eating open. I BOLTED TO THE LINE it was a Saturday so it was about a 50 minute wait. I was so lucky to get on this since it closed about 1 hour after I rode
Of the standard Mack wild mice, I think some families prefer the trimmed ones over the minimally braked ones. And you, Canobie Coaster, what do you think?
So imagine trying again to get on Klondike Gold Rusher at Wild Waves when it is open, and ride all those wild mouse coasters: Matterhorn Blitz at Europa Park Mad Mouse at Michigan's Adventure Wild Mouse at Lagoon Wild Mouse at Dorney Park Wild Mouse at Hersheypark Speedy Bob at Bobbejaanland Fly at Canada's Wonderland Technic Coaster at Legoland California Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm What would you think?
Which one do you prefer, the Zamperla wild mouse (zig zag) (minimally braked), the Zamperla wild mouse (zig zag) (trimmed), the standard Maurer wild mouse (minimally braked), or the standard Maurer wild mouse (trimmed)? What do you think? Why?
I think the L&T Systems wild mouse coasters have the same layout as the Zamperla ones, and how many other manufacturers do you know who manufactured the same layout as both L&T Systems and Zamperla? I'm referring to the similar or identical layout.
So how would you compare between the standard Mack wild mouse (minimally braked), the standard Mack wild mouse (trimmed), the standard Maurer wild mouse (minimally braked), the standard Maurer wild mouse (trimmed), the L&T Systems wild mouse (minimally braked), the L&T Systems wild mouse (trimmed), the Zamperla wild mouse (zig zag) (minimally braked), and the Zamperla wild mouse (zig zag) (trimmed), in terms of airtime, laterals, and strength? What do you think?
Soooo six flags once had a park in the northwest...cedar fair had theyre earnings call today...so that leads me to this prediction...what if cedar fair purchased silverwood themepark in idaho....
Please no….Silverwood is such a hidden gem, last thing we need is Six Flags mismanaging it into the ground after jacking the parking price up from 5 bucks to 40.
I went to wild waves twice last year, first time Klondike never even moved, second time it was testing all day, but never opened. This coaster is really forgettable, it's always closed, and it's just a wild mouse coaster, in fact, I never even knew this coaster existed without RCDB, and considering I've driven past this park multiple times during my occasional visits to Washington, that's quite sad.
Of the Mack wild mouse, there are the standard versions and the large park model, which starts off with a plunge before the usual series of hairpin turns. See in RCDB those four installations: X-treme Racers at Legoland Billund Fly at Canada's Wonderland Apple Zapple at Kings Dominion Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm So if I recommend you trying all them with kids, what would you say, Canobie Coaster?

Two trains on the track! Wow, that would be a godsend for Mad Mouse at MA.I bet that didn't break down every time you were on it either.
I'm stunned the Michigan's Adventure wild mouse is operated so inefficiently.

I didn't find it rough, but the lats are jarring at points.

My dad had neck pain for about a month after riding it.😂

I'm glad it was open more this year than the past.

How many wild mouse coasters you've ridden in the world did you experience abrupt and jarring laterals like this? What do you think?
A lot have strong laterals.

Classic Coaster
Can you do a review on the state fair or wild waves like an entire review
Which one do you prefer, the Zamperla wild mouse (zig zag) (minimally braked), the Zamperla wild mouse (zig zag) (trimmed), the standard Maurer wild mouse (minimally braked), or the standard Maurer wild mouse (trimmed)? What do you think? Why?

Of the wild mouse coasters, which version do you prefer, the standard Zamperla wild mouse or the standard Mack wild mouse? Why?
Macks, they have some airtime with the laterals.
I think most people hope to see the ride open more often. And you?
I'd welcome it being open more.

It's shocking how little this ride operates.
Do you like these Zamperla wild mice? What do you like or love about these?
Love the laterals.
And which version do you prefer, the standard Zamperla wild mouse or the standard Maurer wild mouse? Why?
Maurer, the 2nd half is better.
This ride probably eats through wheels, I wouldn’t be supprised if that is another reason why it’s closed.
If that was an issue, why haven't other mice from Zamperla been closed nearly as often?
Despite this being one of the last of these coasters left after what happened on wild wonder on august 28th 1999…
It's sad what happened with Wild Wonder.
What would you do if you see this ride open again?
Ride it.

Kids would enjoy any of them, unless they're taller.
Wild waves is my home park it’s like 40ms away from my home
Nice! I visited the park quite a bit this past year.
I've seen short videos of Klondike Gold Rusher operating in 2023 and in 2024
It runs sometimes.
So what would you rate this ride? Why?
I have that in the review.
About the ride, what do you think in terms of pacing and smoothness?
Canobie Coaster would say:
In terms of pacing, this mouse coaster is pretty good thanks to the lack of trims. Then the ride tracks quite well. Some may find the laterals in the second half a bit too much, but again I do enjoy them.
If I tell you, this is a minimally braked one, and see a L&T Systems wild mouse coaster before it was relocated to Alabama, what did you think about that?
Wild Lightnin' at Lake Winnie had viscous laterals. It's tamer at Alabama Splash Adventure since the brakes activate.
Wow, awesome
Thanks!
Wild waves needs a giga coaster
I wish, but I think some sort of modern thrill coaster would do well like a Eurofighter.
Simple answer, it's Zamperla. That's why it's always closed 😂
Not all their mice are unreliable.
When it is open, go on Klondike Gold Rusher. Usually, which one do you prefer, the standard Zamperla wild mouse (minimally braked), the standard Zamperla wild mouse (trimmed), the standard Maurer wild mouse (minimally braked), or the standard Maurer wild mouse (trimmed)? Why, how do you think, Canobie Coaster?
I like the untrimmed Maurer ones best.
Would you like to go again to Wild Waves Theme Park? And how do you expect the ride, to be closed or to be open?
How would you do when it is open?
I'd go back, but I go in expecting Klondike Gold Rusher to be closed.
If I ask you, how many wild mouse coasters were there built in France? What do you think, Canobie Coaster?
RCDB has filters to get you that answer.
Of the standard Mack wild mouse, which ones do you like, the trimmed ones or the minimally braked ones? Why?
Of the standard Maurer wild mouse, which ones do you prefer, the trimmed ones or the minimally braked ones? Why?
I prefer the ones with less braking.
Did you find this to be a below average wild mouse, an average wild mouse, or an above average wild mouse? What do you think?
It's solid.
