    Art or engineering? Both.
    But...
    I wonder if it is also a form of collecting. Meaning some of us collect models to display on a shelf, but many others "collect" trains to display a certain road, or location, or time period. Also some "collect" the scenery that goes with the trains that are collected, in varying degrees of faithfulness to the real area thus creating a layout. Or, "collecting" an operating system that mimics a real railroad.
    This idea is based on each of us creating our own model railroad. How much of that is collecting all the parts for our own benefit. Display on a shelf or display on a model railroad layout?

    hi guys !!! great stuff... i take it you guys fish for walleyes ... i hit lake erie and had a great year so far but getting out at this time of year ( specifically on erie) is tough... too many sca's. there cant be many of us model railroaders and walleye fishermen on the planet, which are 2 great hobbies that go together well !!! got some nice 'eyes on smithwick rogues and jointed rapalas last night on chautauqua lake after dark ... its an inland lake here in western ny state. i think you guys are in wisconsin but am not too sure.... cannot wait for ice season to start... got the new aqua vu micro revolution 5.0 pro last week and am anxious to get her up and running !!! speaking of running, tonight i am scheduled to run my soo 3 engine consist of proto 2000 sd50's ( or maybe 60's aint too sure which !!!) that are fantastic pullers.... that will be after supper, which is fresh walleye chowder w/onion hush puppies, walleye alison, baked beans ( homemade of course) the last of some venison sausage and of course ice cold beer !!! keep up the great work and i will remember you both in my evening prayers tonight. denny armes
    ps... i will assume you are packers fans... i am 20 minutes from highmark stadium where our beloved bills play. should be a great contest barring any more injuries !!!
