Beautiful work. Did you find the 50mm 1.0 autofocus well for video? I'm contemplating switching from the 56mm 1.2 to the 50 1.0 just for the autofocus improvements alone if it is there.

I have also the 56mm 1.2 but the AF is not a huge difference between them. But I will say a bit? better? Well... Compare to the AF from other lenses... 50 1.0 is still not the bext XD. (Even the Viltrox 56mm seems to be faster) Thanks for your lovely support!

Well I don't know why they didnt add the linear motor on this lens coz for that price they could add it. 🤔 there is for sure a slight improvement from the 56 1.2 but not as good as the 2.0 lenses or the viltrox lenses.
And for this price I guess its better to wait for the 56 1.2 mark ii.

If it 's for video then I will recommend to keep you 16-55mm 2.8 because the 50mm f1 is not the best lens for videography in terms of AF. For the price of a 50mm f1, I suggest you the 18mm 1.4 + 33mm 1.4 which are cheaper than the 50mm f1. Or wait for the mark II of the 56mm 1.2 which will come soon.
