it was a great accomplishment that "Easy Ed Mac" and the Hawks beat the C's in the Finals after he got traded for Bill R.

I can respect this list. Mr. Cusumano is usually right on these things. Knows a lot about St.Louis sports, he and Earl Austin are the best historian's. I would have like to see some of the Cardinal Ritter boys who could have easily been added to this list. Chris Carrawell,, Jahadi White and Lauren Woods. I would have also like to see Neile Ivy on here as well representing the ladies- high school star, won NCAA tournament in her home town, and WNBA player.

East Saint Louis is in Illinois, but we still claim ppl from there since it's next door.

East (St Louis) is not in Mo, but it is apart of St Louis metropolitan area. Just like the DMV (Washington DC, Marylandand, and Virginia) is all DC metropolitan area. Now Crystal city mo is not apart of the st louis metropolitan area. I don't why someone from crystal city is on the list. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_St._Louis.

Frank, we're all prejudiced by the people we knew who were great players. I submit several players who were overlooked. Rick Suttle, 6'10" All-American at Assumption HS ESL. He averaged over 30 points per game his senior year, then played at Kansas, where he was one of the key players who took the Jayhawks to the Final 4. Bogie Redmond, 6'6" All-American at Collinsville. He took the Kahoks to the Illinois state title in 1961, with a perfect 32-0 record. Tom Parker, 6'7" high school All American at Collinsville, where he averaged over 32 points a game his senior season. He went on to Kentucky, where he was all SEC. There are many more great players from the St. Louis area. However, Frank Cusumano and his staff didn't have the time to put their jobs on hold for one story. The players Frank selected were outstanding. In such a situation, the selections cannot be argued with because it is all subjective. Thanks for the story. I am sure that you and your staff were exhausted by air time. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Kevin Stallings from Collinsville was better than half these guys. Crystal City isn't anywhere near St. Louis. It's practically in the Bootheel! And what about Bob Kurland? He should have been number one?

This list is erroneous! You guys forgot Sean "Big Fudge" O'Brien. The kid was a killer at Vianney.
