My sister has zero tolerance. One night her dog became very aggressive towards her. She called Animal control and had him put down immediately. She says that she cares for him, feeds him and takes him for his medical checkups. And if he decides to get aggressive she is putting him down immediately. One day she was walking her new rescue dog and he out of the blue went ballistic. She had a Police officer shoot her dog. Then when she got her last dog I immediately took him away from her and brought him to my farm. That was several years ago. He was as calm as a Cucumber with me. Very obedient. He finally died of old age on my bed. He just got into my bed and nuzzled his nose under my arm, I petted him and I thought he was just going to sleep but he took a deep breath, released it and then he was gone. I buried him on my farm under an Avocado Tree.
Will, your videos are very helpful...could you do a video on reading dogs body language? Sometimes I have difficulty telling what my dog is trying to show me.

Another great video! We've got a six month old American Bully and he is doing great with obedience and house manners, yet with play such as tug of war, he is being increasingly exuberant with growling and such. He will immediately drop the toy when told "drop it" and back up and sit waiting, but wondering if it's a bad idea to almost encourage the growling and dominance attempts. I haven't let him "win", but he's growing strong fast. Thank you sharing your knowledge!

I got the prong collar brand you said was best, and WOW like a miracle! Loki is not running and jumping anymore. He's gets overly excited when he sees people and he started jumping up on people to kiss their faces, when he was turning 5 months. Now he's just 6 months. Loki is doing great with obedience and listening, he's really getting there, but.. Seeing people outside, especially kids, he goes into hyper drive!! He's incredibly strong, last week, he dragged me across a huge parking lot on my feet, over the ice, as if i were ice skating. I was using the gentle collar, the one that is cloth, and only tightens slightly with a pull, but for Loki, the correction in that collar was just oblivious to him, he didn't recognize or feel it. I got the pinch collar and he is a different dog!! Walking next to me, not running, no jumping, no running at the people OUTSIDE!! Some of the dog people love to see him, pet him, and then theres others who are not interested in a giant dog running up to them, which i totally understand, I'm not one to get offended by that! Some ppl do... I want my dog to behave, no running up to people, and absolutely no jumping I'll be honest, with the muscles and thick skin on lokis neck, he's not getting hurt, no hurting at all, he acts like he doesn't notice it. However when he goes to run up to strangers, I'll tug it with a correction, and he stopped! This is nothing short of a miracle! I'm so happy now! The pinch collar brand and disgusting the collar preempted me to try, thank you!! I cant begin to tell you how much loki is succeeding now! 👍♥️

My dog never evn barked or bites someone since i got him, but lately hes started being rlly aggressive , like he'll bite u if u tried to pet him or tried to put a muzzle on him and the only deal where hes calm is when ur giving him food and when u try to command him he doesnt evn listen to u and we've been training him since he was 20days old

He gets very aggressive and attacks. I need your opinion what can I do?
I would be interested to take your course because our 1.5y intact male aussiedoodle has started to become really reactive to other dogs (when on leash). He barks, growls and lunges. He knows it is wrong as He gets corrected every time for this behaviour (and rewarded when He Stays calm...the few times) but once He is in this state NOTHING works. No hard pops, no pulling up, no turning around. We use flat collar and slip lead and He rather chokes himself until he coughs and then continues. I have seen Great results with the pronge in your videos but pronge collars are BANNED where we live (Austria). So does your system also works without a pronge as we really tried everything...
👍🏼👍🏼 thanks Will another great video! I think a lot of people don't realize how hard big dogs play with each other... I mean they are full on biting each others ears and pulling and biting each other everywhere.... Big dogs will play ruff🐕No pun intended.
As i currently own an "aggressive" dog, the key thing to remember (particularly with corso) is these aren't 7 pound carry dogs. Understand what your dog is, when it acts up, HOW it acts up then look at what you can do to remedy the situation. If the dog needs to wear a muzzle, so be it. Make it a part of the dogs kit.... collar, harness, lead then muzzle. Don't punish the dog for aggression, try to distract it with something, a toy, food, anything to take the dogs mind from the aggression state of mind, even if for a minute.
I dont think corsos I know many of them, aggressive? that's a misconception unfortunately people who buy these want an extra layer of protection therefore projecting fear and lack of leadership onto it. Sadly it has no choice other than to take control and try and survive. Very sad
I have a new puppy and was wondering what the reason is that you aren’t a fan of a harness as my pup has both collars and harnesses I was wondering what will be best for him?
Thank you for a very informative video! I recently adopted a 6 month mixed breed puppy that has not had much human contact and not much of socialisation. He is scared of humans and if they get to close he growls, barks and launches. Right now im not getting close to anyone and gives him a lot of treats when someone passes by. What kind of course should i use? Is it rehabilitation or positive for a puppy that has not had a normal start in life? Thank you so much! 🌺

Just don’t ever suggest a balanced approach on the dogs subreddit. So many positive-only freaks who slap you don’t for explaining how to fix issues with dogs and absolutely no suggestions for how to fix it.
Is there a reason that you use the Boerboel puppy as your picture? It feels like you’re pretty biased against the breed and I wanted to know if there was a reason, especially since it seems like Lots of your viewers are interested in them, but you generally leave them off of any “best of” lists even though they are much healthier than other mastiff breeds and much calmer too. In the US they are used as therapy dogs and aren’t considered aggressive. Just wondering if there was a reason especially since you love the cane corso so much and they are a larger and more mature version of a cane.

please know I would never ever put hm down or surrender him to a shelter its not about that, he needs to know that I am his leader and he will not show those behaviours and when I say no, its no now a lot is my fault because I am not consistent and Ive noticed in myself if its okay yesterdayand then suddenly its not okay today behaviour. yes unfortunately I do do that and I know its a behavior I need to change. at te same time I afariad he's gonabite someone one day and everyone already thins he's a pit bull and I try to explain he's a Staffordshire terrier and t some peoplethy say that means he's a pit. I couldn't see him btitg someone because all n all he just wants to play but he just does not want to listen and he's a very smart dog and nows exactly what he's doing. I feel like sometime we don't I've dogs he credit they deserve because they do remember and they do know when and what they are doing wrong and I feel like they make a conscious choice just like kid should i or shouldn't I, and if they feel the consequence isn't that big of deal well then why not
I emailed you desperate for help with my mastiff thats showing agression to strangers, you sent me one email back, after i replied ive had nothing back and its been over a month, am desperate for any advice/help
Positive-only people annoy the hell out of me. They act like a small correction like 1% of the time is abuse. Give me a break.
Just don’t ever suggest a balanced approach on the dogs subreddit. So many positive-only freaks who slap you don’t for explaining how to fix issues with dogs and absolutely no suggestions for how to fix it.
!!!!
