Aph Ro do u wanna see black president there is a lot of them in africa hhhhhhh
Bach zawali their all corrupted
@@bachzawali8610 the point is that america is a melting pot of races. especially black and white, but the rarity of having a black president in america nonetheless is what makes it such a big deal, but i digress. At the end of the day i rather have a good president no matter the race
Nas is a rap genius
When a song gives you chills and tears at the same time.... What a moment
I’m there right now… man what a time
I just said what a time .. I’ll never forget calling my grandparents telling them we had a black president 🥹 that pride but disbelief and worry at the same time will forever stay with me

What do you think about George Bush?
Serious question, what honestly changed?
@@GN9K71 bush doesn't care about black people. Old Kanye voice😂
So what did Obama do that benefited black Americans or any Americans for that matter? Highest unemployment among black Americans, lowest home ownership, skyrocketing heath care costs, only president ever to not have 1 year of 3% gdp growth, continued the unpopular wars he said we'd be out of in 6 months, gave my money to Detroit, and the list goes on... Obama lives in the lap of luxury and goes to Africa to tell Africans they can't have air conditioning.
“Ultimately, if you think about all the youth that everybody has mentioned here in Africa, if everybody is raising living standards to the point where everybody has got a car and everybody has got air conditioning, and everybody has got a big house, well, the planet will boil over -- unless we find new ways of producing energy.” Obama 2013

2024 we here.
Years later and this song still motivates me to get up and go get what's mine. I mean if Obama can become the first black POTUS then anything is really possible.
Hard to imagine that Obama actually happened!!
I will never be able to explain the amount of joy that overwhelmed me when he won. My cousin and I screamed to the top of our lungs "he won!"The next day at school, I felt like I could conquer anything. People don't get it, many black people don't have positive role models to look up to that tells them a black can succeed. When they look around all they see is hardship and failure, so when a Black man won the Presidency it provided a sense of hope. It has nothing to do with white vs black (at least it didn't at the time). My grandmother CRIED when I woke her up and told her. This is a lady who once attended segregated schools, now she's seeing a Black or Mixed race man as a President. Almost 8 years later, I have mixed views about Obama but nothing will ever take away from that moment in 2008.
+Geena H
Very well said. This is only the beginning, do not let race ever hold you or anyone else back. Your mind is the limits, your strength is your heart. That is the value of a human being.
amazing. I should put that up as an quote
Yessir
That was the problem you guys voted for the guy because he's black not because he had a good agenda!! And that's the ignorant part.... I'm Mexican but if a Mexican candidate does not have a good agenda he will not get my vote just because he's the same race as i am!!!

Black people, mostly.
My President was black,
He did what he could.
People still hated
But he still stuck it through.
He earned an extra term,
Made Obamacare.
I know he wasn't perfect,
But he always seemed to care.
Royal Kay Obama will always BE my President.
Royal Kay I LOVE THIS!
Spirit World Half black is still black. They'd judge you on that alone. Why? Because people are fucking stupid.
Royal Kay. Obama is just as much white as he is black. To say that he is black implies that he is not half white. It also implies that his mother is not white. But in reality his mother is white. Obama is Biracial.
Spirit World you are a racist.
I can't believe I came on here to listen to song in 2023.❤️❤️
The crazy part is he released this track before Obama even won 😂
This was such an epic song during an epic moment in American History. S/o 2 Jeezy
