Another great tutorial, thanks! I've seen a couple of the webinars covering the program basics, but this one introduced some a bit more advanced features... Definitely recommend this to everyone interested in RFEM concrete design!
Just a quick question: if I'm not mistaken, EC8 limits the width of the slab in which we can place the top reinforcement of the T-beam, right? Is there a way to include that in the design process here, because the top reinforcement here was uniformly distributed along the effective width of the slab (53:28)?
EC2 doesn't limit the distribution width [9.2.1.2(2)], although in the German annex it is recommended to distribute the tension reinforcement above an intermediate support over a maximum of 50 % of the effective width. The video is quite old now and we have added an option to limit the distribution width in the meantime.
Hi Amar, Yes you are right. The top reinforcement needs to be put in a limited area on the top. To do this it is possible to create a separate beam for that area and define a smaller width for the slab. Width for calculation of the internal forces and the rebar can be different. Hi, Amar!
Thank you for your comment. I am glad it was helpful. We have added many more in the meantime.
Vielen Dank...keep up doing great works.
Great video!! Greetings from Argentina!

Well, I seem to be unable to find an apparent flaw to this program... :D Thank you for the reply!

Hello, I was wondering if there is any example that can be used for validation of the software?

Is it possible to design and analyse precast buuldings
Hi, Rajul!
Yes, this is also possible. In fact, there are some companies that have done a lot of automization towards that.
And WHEN the USE OF MKS sistem units?
Hi, Edy!
