When the first time I heard epiphany and the lyric, I cried. Then I heard awake. Then I heard epiphany again after I heard awake, I cried harder. And Jin wasn't a dancer, he was a college student who studied acting and auditioned by Big Hig staff when he got off from the bus. He learned singing and dancing from scratch when he was trainee. He is an amazing hardworker 💜
I love Jin’s voice and of course his songs, all of his songs are all my favorite. The way he sings it, the meaning of the song and the emotion is just hits different, his voice and his songs are all great he never disappoints when it comes to pulling his emotion out and I love him for that.

I saw BTS in concert the first time about a month after I first even heard of them and I picked out Jin as my favorite vocalist. Epiphany was so emotional and almost spiritual. And he's so good live. He had the best pitch and stability (though Koo has great stability too but he moves around a lot more so even if he's a little less accurate with pitch, he's probably the more impressive). Anyway, I was surprised to learn that he didn't start singing until after being signed. But he's been at it (and worked hard) for 8 years now and is every bit the professional singer as the rest of the vocal line. And still my favorite. When he sings, I feel it the most. And his vibrato is to die for.
It's a beautiful song but the lyrics also are so amazing! (There' a reason why the rains started to go upward.) The lyrics are basically the messages bts has been telling for years, and they will make you emotional. Pls check them at doolset lyrics :)

Epiphany is my healing song and Jin is my healer. This song saved so many people and taught them to love themselves more. I'm one of them. I can confidently say that this song just saved my life. I'm a person who tried to commit suicide two times. But this song taught me to love myself more than anything and gave me a hope. Jin is literally a gifted singer. He has ability to convey emotion through his vocals. He is the king of high notes and belting. He is our one and only Grammy acclaimed silver vocalist..💕💕

Our Jinnie has beautiful vocals. He can belt out a ballad with a solid strong voice or whisper gently in our ears and his vocal range is huge. He can hit both high and low notes with ease. Do you know that the Creative Director of the Ly-Tour said that Jin sang epiphany, had a one minute break then sang truth untold, two very demanding songs in over 65+ concerts. And he Never ever left out his high notes even when he was sick. You know a good singer when he uses vocal techniques and continues to be secure and stable. You shouldn’t give into the false narratives, that’s a common in kpop (and everywhere) I think. He had little to zero background in music (did theater once) but he could always sing, he just didn’t intend to sing or probably knew that he could. Also no one in the band had a professionell Music background. A vocal teacher that taught the whole vocal line, said that he was her best student and that he rather than improved transformed his voice, he had an acting background and because of it he needed to learn a more a melodic vocalization that was so opposite to acting. Check out “you‘re my“ performance from 2013. he was always good but of course he worked hard and elevated incredibly.
