I really appreciate you don't take sides and make claims like "saturated fat is bad for you" or "don't eat butter".
There is a lot of information in this video, but no opinions. That's rare these days and I am so glad to see it.
Dear Sir, within 9 minutes you were able to gave detailed information. Even normal people can able to understand. Excellent teaching sir
Great presentation! My only comment is that trans fats are found in nature (8:30), typically in small quantities. Both plants (and not just seed oil plants) and animals contain trans fats. For example, 3-trans-hexadecenoic acid [16:1(3t)] is found in leek, peas, spinach and lettuce. And in animals, 11-trans-octadecenoic acid (vaccenic acid) in found in beef, mutton and butter fat.
when you have a 100 question bio exam in 4 hours and you're just now understanding fats
good thing they are pretty easy to pick up pretty fast, at least for me
Better than my bio teacher's 1 hour
Imma tell ms stewart
+Omar Hashmi little snitch
sad but true
One hour?! More like my whole education.
i love the last part. it made me giggle. thanks so much!
That was the most fun I’ve had learning in a while
Wow, the explanation is very deep and the way of explaining is very easy. Thanks for this video
Wow !! Excellent overview. You have changed my outlook on every new encounter I have when talking about fats. Now I get it.
- "Don't eat trans fat"
- "Anyway, hopefully you enjoyed that"
You are solid gold. Not much education re trans fats anymore. Thank you 👍👍
Please, move to my college we need you.
His computer drawing skills tho. Its actually pretty satisfying to watch :)
Jonas Fjelldal
You seriously think this him? It's a bloody program.
@@abseiduk it's a pen tablet....
if i could give this man a kiss i would
Excellent! Thank you!
I want to thank you for the voltron mention, now i have a longer watchlist😀
exactly answered my questions about those drawn on the board by my teacher who can never explain anything, excellent! and thank you!!
XXI education arises.
I suffered my engineer bachelor with those dull classes, that can kill anyones attention.
Under this format, visual attractive and appealing, quick and fluid, strong concepts, etc...
This lead to expose the truth difficulty of the subject that is actually very low when you have all language elements already present in your memory.
I'm really happy after enjoyed this video, I will stick to Khan as much as I can.
this video is funny. studying for DAT and this explained everything I need and more
Very helpful, thank you !
thanks for sharing. you made it simple to understand.
Today I learned cis and trans configuration
He sounds like djvlad😂
Well explained!
very helpful!
You can really tell apart people that learned this going to school and people that learn it in by research.
Thank you very much. Deeply Appreciated. Very nice video.
good molecular explainer thank youu
wow is this interesting! and now so easy to understand!
that's great.
it's going to be greater if you show us how these type of lipids appear on NMR spectroscopy
It could be betterif you can use white background.and the colours you use like pink they are not much clear.good explaining.
hey I recognize your voice from the economics videos. I learn a lot from your videos thank you!!!
thank you dad, god i swear my professors know nothing compared to you
Very helpful only critique is you said why saturated is bad but not why trans is bad
It’s literally for the same exact reason only worse
Hats off!!
Thanks that was very helpful
I don't know if you're writing, but I like the handwriting.😘It's easy to read.
Thank u for this video
Very well explained
This video, and its first part are just fabulous! Gives you a complete understanding of Major kinds of fats with simple layman explanation. Thank you so much for this!
Does anyone know who this teacher is?
Mr. Sal Khan; the founder of Khan Academy.
@@chefethanguo9701 I was a dumb guy 5 years ago. Today I would recognize this legendary man anywhere!
Thank you!!
WOW thank you!
Thank you
Very helpful 🌸
thanks a lot
I did enjoy that thank you
great teaching keep it up !
It's sodium chloride
Good
saturated fats are best.
Sources: Ghee, butter, coconut oil (cold pressed extra virgin)
Loved that thankyou! Has helped to make sense of lots! :) x
One thing that has always puzzled me is whether the location of the "kinks" has any influence on health (plus or minus). Also how does margarine stay polyunsaturated and not be a trans-fat with what must be trans bonds to be solid??
etmax1 Imagine straight tails of sat-fats being straightly and accurately cut bricks , which when deposited one upon another (inside of a arteries) they "build a wall " which eventually over time becomes a fortress for blood to pass . With kinks of unsaturated fats this brick layering is NEVER possible (they cant seat one upon another like saturated straight tail fats, and that is the reason they are liquid to begin with) ,so they are kind of 'porous' so much that blood easily flows trough them , without any problems for health ! and the benefits of unsaturated fats is numerous ! Now trans fats are ARTIFICIALLY made saturated fats but 100 times more dangerous than all of the natural sat fats combined , at least healthy and normally functioning organism can deal with natural sat-fats , but NEVER can do anything about trans-fats ,it simply does not recognize it !
noitnettaattention
Thanks for helping me with this. I do understand the part you've described, the bit that puzzles me is why margarine with it's tightness graphically so close to butter should behave more like an oil than a solid fat in the body??? Besides, both butter and margarine melt at body temperature.
What is the relevance to health?
SATURATED FAT IS GOOD NOT BAD
not
Q: Which has a better sex life, vegetable oil, or shortening?
A: Vegetable oil, because it's more kinky.
You've changed man.
i think i get it now :P
I dont know how I got here ... Im so confused. 🤣
😂 I was having thoughts at the end of the videos, did I just ate a Trans fat.
My dad got me McDonald's this morning. :/
Are we talking about fats or sexuality? At some point, I couldn't help but see the similarities.
Chris Musix If you didn't figure that out from the title/video, it's fats.
I’m going to respond assuming you still have the same perspective, even though it’s unlikely since this was 9 years ago, and that’s long enough to learn.
Are you criticizing scientists for using Latin prefixes that happened to also be used for the words “transgender” and “cisgender”? Also, that’s not sexuality. That’s gender.
I mean, if people have the logic to get vaccinated to not harm others then they should use the same philosophy with trans fats, especially when majority never took biology.
I cannot watch any of your videos none of them have sound.......I am using chrome
Disabled html5, Now it works
Ahhh squeez a lime on top of Margerin and butter. Lol
Meat has trans fat.
4:55 now i know where SJWS got the term Cisgender from and Associated it to the word transfat as is Transgender. You couldnt write this hahah.!
Yes, 'cis' is the Latin prefix for (roughly) 'on this side of' and 'trans' being for 'beyond', hence is used in 'transgender' and 'transfat' though aside from having the same prefix share nothing else in similarity.
So close
