u made a mistake in ur cholesterol structure at 10:00. The hydrophobic acyl side chain should be connected to the C-17 of the cholesterol moiety, not the C-16. Nice video by the way, helped me revise my lipid studies quite swiftly. Arigatou Gozaimasu!

Dehydration is different from condensation in that condensation is specific to water. In hydrolysis any small molecule is formed. Hydrolysis is breaking down chemical bonds by use of water.
When any ones speak of everything, I start to doubt about their credibility simply because this is against the natural law: no one can be an all-around expert. Otherwise, there would be no such things as expertise, specialists, professions ...
Shouldn't the conversion of a triglyceride into glycerol and it's 3 constituent fatty acids be of a hydration rxnc instead of hydrolysis??? 3 molecules of water is added to the triglyceride molecule to reverse the dehydration synthesis reaction thus, restoring the hydroxyl group of glycerol and polar head of the fatty acids if I'm right... I stand to be corrected

7:41 is hydrolysis the same as condensation reaction ? also whats the difference between condensation and hydrolysis and dehydration ?
