If you could move more in to biochemistry territory like this, that would be tremendously helpful. This guy is carrying my degree, I’d have never passed organic chemistry if it wasn’t for this guy.
Hey there! I just started a new RUclips channel. In approximately 2 months time I will have biochemistry content on it as well. ruclips.net/video/uW2nOF_1QFY/видео.html
@@chance_entertainment cool, I subbed. If you could go in to degree level detail that would be good. Kahn academy already got high school level biology and chemistry covered anyway 👍
Dehydration is different from condensation in that condensation is specific to water. In hydrolysis any small molecule is formed. Hydrolysis is breaking down chemical bonds by use of water.
Just finish my professor’s online courses for “1HR 17mins” about lipids and still don’t have a damn idea what she talkin🤷🏻♀️ And this man saved the day in 17mins! Ur now honored greatest man of the world :)
Thank you! You video really helps me to have a good overview of lipids. I always wonder if lipids those are present in plants are in the form of free fatty acids only, not in the form of triglycerides? Secondly, how are triglycerides classified based on their fatty acid compositions?
Name the products of mild hydrolysis of the following lipids with dilute NaOH: (a) 1-stearoyl-2,3-dipalmitoylglycerol (b) 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoylphosphatidylcholine QUIZ 2
If anyone is learning from this as their only source, I might be wrong but I think that the cholesterol structure is wrong (the aliphatic chain should be on the upper C atom of the ring)?!
Shouldn't the conversion of a triglyceride into glycerol and it's 3 constituent fatty acids be of a hydration rxnc instead of hydrolysis??? 3 molecules of water is added to the triglyceride molecule to reverse the dehydration synthesis reaction thus, restoring the hydroxyl group of glycerol and polar head of the fatty acids if I'm right... I stand to be corrected
When any ones speak of everything, I start to doubt about their credibility simply because this is against the natural law: no one can be an all-around expert. Otherwise, there would be no such things as expertise, specialists, professions ...
By the grace of God, l have been blessed academically with your well explained videos... God bless you and expecting more course aiding videos from you😊
Me too, am Rodney and JG wherever u are u contribute to 80% of my overall excellence since I rely on u on almost every units..I thought u were only in phyc maths and chemistry but amazingly u still exist in biology.
u made a mistake in ur cholesterol structure at 10:00. The hydrophobic acyl side chain should be connected to the C-17 of the cholesterol moiety, not the C-16. Nice video by the way, helped me revise my lipid studies quite swiftly. Arigatou Gozaimasu!
The nitrogen can be found in the R group attached to the phosphate head. The most common R groups for phospholipids are choline and ethanolamine, both of which have an amine in their structure.

I appreciate your videos. Can you make more biochemistry videos?

Eeeeeeeee
Why lipids acts as a heat barier
7:41 is hydrolysis the same as condensation reaction ? also whats the difference between condensation and hydrolysis and dehydration ?

Isn't dehydration and condensation the same?

Dude, You're amazing. I have been watching your videos since high school and now I am in medical school. Salute you Sir. God bless❤💯🙏✌
This is a nice introduction. I'm glad you included terpenes and eicosanoids because they often get overlooked.
Thank you for this video, I have a test next week and this video really helped me a lot. God bless you
This guy has helped me alot my degree is just BCoz of you
now I can understand what the hell my prof are talking about
Please do a series on biochem !!!
Yes please
I am taking an online college course and I have been struggling. Your videos have helped me so much. Thank you!!
You explain really well! Loving the drawings, helps to understand the differences. Thanks!
That voice brings so much nostalgia
Been graduated for 2 years

absolute legend, in awe of the size of his brain
Perfect video and sums up a lot of things, thank u so much. Please continue to do these
I usually never comment on videos but this exam season you have literally helped me a lot so thank you so much for all your efforts we appreciate it

Wonderful
The Organic chemistry tutor can you please do more of biochemistry
Thank you for explaining it clearly and in-depth, now I understand and not so bamzooled :-)
If I have taken Chemistry in this way, I WOULD LOVE IT !! THANK YOU A LOT

It’s a very educational video. Thanks for making it. It would be great if you added some pictures to your videos just for representation.
i love you so much. i love you so much. i have been watching ur videos for over a year now. you teach me everything i need to know. i LOVE you!!!
is this high school or university material? It looks like year10/year11 can understand this.

Thanks for the video. Really helpful for my future A&P classes.
