I love this! So grungey, so nostalgic. It makes a gorgeous sound as you turn the pages, too. I adore the shaped pages that open up to form the tent. Just fabulous.
Absolute all-time favorite journal! Circus tents, tickets, clowns, popcorn, grunge, sparkle, texture, tiny details, vintage awesomeness, all contained in a perfect little box! The artistry and creativity is amazing, but it speaks to me personally as well, evoking nostalgia for times long past. What a treasure! Would love to be holding this little book in my hands! Thanks for creating and sharing this beauty!
I always enjoy your journal videos. Your journals are more masculine than most of what I see and I find it refreshing. I love that this was designed to look like a circus tent. Thank you for sharing. As a side note, I also enjoy your accent. I told my wife that you could probably read a dictionary and it sound relaxing. She agreed. 🙂 Thank you again for sharing your ideas.
Hahah your comment made me smile 😊 thank you! Very pleased you liked my work, I’ll consider doing an audiodictionary by JackRavi 😂 loads of love to you and your wife ❤️❤️
this is so fantastic, My Dad was a promoter for the Shrine Circus and I grew up around the circus. My son was in a Cirque show in Las Vegas. I'm so in love with this journal, thank you for sharing your creation and I'm so inspired to make something circus now.
I’m not sure that I can adequately convey what a rare pleasure it is, to see such a great concept so beautifully realized! For me, the conceptual and the rendering are equally important in Art, and you beauti-fully achieved that with this Circus project, Ravi! I look forward to seeing more of your work, going forward. Happy Holiday Wishes for all @ the Graphics Fairy : Thank You For Using Your Creativity!
Love your journal - so fun - and very innovative - I feel as though it is a heirloom treasure xx And the box was amazing too! Congratulations on a magnificent piece of artwork xx
Jack, I am in love with your circus tent. I like very much vintage circus images, as a child I played with my mother's cardboard circus images (they could stand up) and I still regret they weren't saved. Don't know when they were thrown away, maybe my mom did and I did search te web for similar stuff, but never found. Your circus reminds me of that and the idea of making it a tent is gorgeous. Together with the box it is sure a work of art. About 30 years ago we went to an Italian circus in vintage style with those red circus waggons and quite a strange animal group (dogs, rhinoceros) and when circus was over a table was put in the middle of the slopes and mama served spaghetti for artists and public. Unforgettable and a same atmosphere as your book shows.
OMG circus and spaghetti sounds perfect!!!! How fun!!! I also made a cutout circus for a friend many years ago, they were silhouettes all cutout and you could play with it like a shadow circus! Gutted you've not got your childhood circus anymore!
Oh my goodness!! I'm in absolute awe!! This was such a delight to watch, and I will probably rewatch it *many* times. Thank you so much for sharing this exquisite piece of art with us, Jake!
Absolutely Stunning circus journal just amazing this has brought back memories as a child when they use to come to Columbus, Oh I never missed a year up to 10 years of age. Thanks for sharing :)
Outstanding! Great representation of days gone by. You put a lot of thought and planning into this one. The grungyness you added almost looks like it was dug out of the rubble of a circus fire. Love it! A++
Wauw, that was outstanding. Fab idea and sooo original. What a pleasure to watch. You opened up a hole new route of ideas to me. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with all of us. ❤️ & 💋 from Nette 🥰 in Denmark 🇩🇰
Oh ..my...gawd... this is phenomenal! I love love the grunginess and how you made this into...A SHAPE!! Did you cut each individual page into the shape with a template?
Beautiful journal and a fantastic piece of art. I started junk journaling a year ago and I’m curious about how you add scent to a journal and how to make the photos so realistic. I’m starting a circus journal, but it is in pastels. I love the shape of your journal and the box. Great job!
Thank you! Great choice a circus theme! I just use essential oils that I drop around the edges or if there's absorbent papers like watercolour paper even directly onto the page.
This is fabulous
Fabulous 👌 love this journal 👏 😍 ❤ ♥

We agree, it's an amazing journal! Yes, Jack made a template to cut the pages to the circus tent shape.
Hi, thank you Tracy, yes I made a template and I cut all the pages myself :)
