- Sky's Ali Fortescue speaks to former defence secretary Liam Fox about the upcoming general election and the Tories' NHS record.
When Mr Fox is asked whether he thinks his party has a good record on the NHS, he says: "Yes I do. We have been in charge of the NHS for longer than any other party since its inception".

The nightingale hospitals were NOT used
Hundreds of thousands ex clinicians came forward to support those facilities
BUT
They were told they needed to undertake a raft of training ...diversity and equality to name One!@!
All we needed was moving and handling, infection control and refresh of nursing care
It FAILED ..and clinicians saw 150 measures to give care, unrealistic and unecessary.
As a clinician, i lived this.

Waiting lists would Not be compromised if the care of patients during the pandemuc debarcle was managed by clinicuans on the ground rather than gov and nhs beaurcrats

Waiting lists were at record levels before the pandemic.
As they have admitted they have had the nhs in there hand for a long time the Tory party then must admit it there fault it’s damaged
This former doctor says that "people are still getting sick ----- the population is aging...."! "...the patients weren't there to save the NHS"! The blind level of disdain is truly astonishing. Nice suit.

Care homes tend to have mostly private folks due to costing 2.5 - 4k per month
Without being able to control what a reasonable charge is its much like as the gentleman says in nhs theres no point pilling money in when its 90% of that becomes extracted by private companies providing the equipment, clothing, maintenance contracts and years of meetings debating something that by the time its implemented 10-15yrs later its so out of date & overly complex, its useless
Its like a leaky pipe full of holes as it doesn't matter how much more water (money) gets poured into it, the leaks will still have their lions share leaving little water left at patient level
Affordable housing for example isn't built as its financially unviable for the developer/landlord. Being unable to control price of land and instead building homes for the affluent raised everyones land price hence small & mid businesses disappeared as their rent went up to
