I am Cuban heritage, and I taught Salsa for over twenty years. This man is as smooth as silk! He feels the music! It’s demonstrated with every movement! Excellent couple routine!
So nice to see a dancer actually connecting with his his partner, instead of dancing with his nose in the air. Shines kept to a tasteful minimum. And she looks fabulous in that dress!
I have watched so many dances by Nery but this to me is by far the most impressive one. Every single combination could be isolated and would be amazing on its own, so varied, so enjoyable for the partner (see Jennifer at 1:43), so much musicality. Can't stop watching it!

Wow. That was so much fun to watch. She's beautiful, elegant and graceful. You treated her like a gentleman should, and you are both very smooth in your dance moves. I think that is beautiful. I dance cuban & am biased. That said have seen Oliver Pineda & now Nary & am absolutely obsessed with the boys. Both dance with their partners & love it. Flash is centred on their partners & it seems a language in itself. To flow from one move to next & not repeat is mind blowing & to do it effortlessly just speaks of perfect positioning for self & partner. Footwork to me is so secondary to the collective experience. Nary in particular was so mind bogglingly efficient with his movements. Magic.
I love the way Nery leads a woman!!! Nothing forced nor rough. He knows how to lead like a gentleman and the way he moves is amazing natural. He's not showing off, or making a scene he just dances natural and it catches your attention. He's aware of the womens comfort, and he's not dancing with his ego. I just want all the other men to take notes📝
Well put - as a male dancer in So Cal where everybody tries to dance extremely flashy like Johnny Velasquez, I totally prefer Nery's smooth style..

I'm surprised about the comments in this video. I dare say that I have seen this video more times than anyone and I find it incredible. It seems to me that Nery knew that it was a complicated routine, the steps seem like a continuum that goes through different speeds. Some say it is very "Smooth" I believe that there lies the merit of Nery who is a "Dance stylist" being fast and at the same time retailer

I took Nery’s class when I first moved to Florida thinking I wouldn’t learn much because I knew how to dance coming into it, I just wanted to make friends.......what learned were the little things that adds continuity and communication between partners. Still use the queues today. It’s been over 10 years and I have to say if you want to learn true LA style salsa without the intimidating nature of some of these salsa Guru’s he’s the one to go to....ft Myers has the fortune of having him now....he’s going to blow up. Trust

For a great dance, you need a great song. When you hear salsa sung and played like this, put a stamp on it, " Made in Puerto Rico"( even if recorded in NY or MIami). This is the classic Puerto Rican style of salsa. So enjoyable to listen or dance to.
