    So refreshing to hear such a free interpretation of Chopin - unlike so many generic performances today, especially those generally coming from east Asia - and here, "generally" is key! However, I see that Alosa's performance suffers from dynamic contrast. He particularly lacks fortissimo so necessary to create a grand and powerful impression. Unfortunately, this becomes particularly apparent in bigger pieces such as the last Etude, Op. 25, here. Otherwise, quite beautiful!       I don't think that fortissimos are a necessity for most of Chopin's repertoire. His music requires refinement, sensibility, ELEGANCE above all.
