Still to this day I feel like the only reason that we didn't get another Sonic character in Smash was because of the "Sonic's stinky friends" crowd. They've terrified the makers of Sonic games so much that they've pretty much just given up even trying with them. And if Sega themselves won't try, then why on earth should Smash?
