Chris, you are a sertified bike-geek. Thanks for the work and content you put out. I think I speak for a lot of us ,when saying that your content and reviews gives us good fundementals for bike purchase. Cheers.
Was there 🤙🏻 absolutely loved it first time watching flat tracking was epic !! sports bike rider coming from track day background but def got give this a go ! just gutted didn’t bump into Chris for a fist bump 👊🏻 as totally enjoy every vid he does even watched and enjoyed the Honda gold wing vid 😂🤙🏻
When I was working in the Netherlands I visited a flat track in Lelystad. Unfortunately it was out of season, although there was a guy there who did the upkeep of the track and bikes. He invited me in for a cup of tea where we discussed bikes, flat track and speedway. He had an amazing history within the sport travelling all over mainland Europe and UK and it was a pleasure to be able to spend some time in his company. At 61, is it too late to learn a new riding skill 🤔
Both started in the same era, but Flat Track is American and focuses on bikes the average person can buy, kinda like the early days of NASCAR. It's essentially the motorcycle version of stock car racing. Speedway is European and is held on smaller ovals on purpose built bikes.
Also, Flat Track usually has more riders and more laps in one race. The closest thing to Speedway in the US is Board Track, although that disappeared pre WW2 for very obvious reasons.
Chris in it's natural environment ❤❤❤😂😂😂

Great advice taken. Skids felt great at 7 and now they feel epic at 54.
Thanks Chris.

It`s not too late mate, I`m 62 and doing KTMs in the fast lane if you know what I mean!?😁.
Over here in the UK don’t we call it speedway or is there a difference ? 😀

Gutted I missed this. Stone's throw from my house. 🤥
Youd think being a flat oval would make it boring but I bet managing traction and staying on line at that speed is a huge rush.
Aye, what? No brakes! Add grin and chuck it sideways, I say!
