Personally, I need 3 products when styling this style:
1. Texture clay, put in when wet
2. Hair spray, while blow drying for shape
3. Volume powder for finishing it off

Try, in the next month, keeping the same haircut but don't cut the hair in the back of the head/neck. Kinda "modern mullet", I think it will fit PERFECTLY with you.

I used to get something like that with a mid fade. Now I rock a midfade faux hawk because I wanted something edgier.
The 20's haircuts on many guys is scissor cuts (no razor) I keep having young guys come in asking for a wolf-cut, mullet, and perm. I don't have anyone asking for fades anymore or the undercut like they did 4 years ago.
