Yeah, you'd end up with that mindset growing up and spending more than half of your life thinking you could be actually dead by tomorrow and only get a 20 minute warning of your impending fiery doom at any time at best and everything and everyone you care about will be suddenly dust.

He’s not wrong. My parents are Baby Boomers and they acquired the property for their first house for free and moving an existing structure to it for $100. Yet they still claim that their success was due solely to their drive.
I joined the Marines and got my first home with a VA loan. Then I worked for the post office for 40 years, lived modesty and now retired. Home & car paid for. Hoping delta goes away so I can travel.
Boomers: Go to post-secondary, get a degree, and you'll get a good job where you can earn enough to buy a house!

Millennials: [Do exactly what they're told, but since nowadays post-secondary education = $100,000+ loan you have to pay back for the next 10+ years & jobs don't pay as much (If you can even get one in your field at all), you likely end up working at the service industry or working 2+ jobs just to make ends meet]

There are alternative ways to open doors and increase your worth on the job market other than earning a degree. You are 100% correct about college being overpriced, in the last 30 years the cost has risen 800% of the cost of living, more than anything else ! The reason is simple, the government decided to get into the banking business and started making student loans, once the colleges saw that students could borrow as much money as they need, they continually raised their tuition cost. This is called unintended consequences.
As a recently 22-year-old young man, I’ve essentially given up on ever owning my own home, getting married, or starting a family because I can’t see how I could afford it without having to spend my entire life working 90 hours a week into the ground.
And then when men stop trying to have families, the government will institute a bachelors tax. :D

A min in and already loving this guy telling it like it is.reminds me when my grandad sent me 200$ for the whole semester...that was nice gesture.He just could not figure out that 200$ only paid for one book and not a full time schedule with materials and books(thx gramps its the thought that counts.right?)So it was very refreshing to hear some say what you been thinking.

I do, being born in 1955....see my post above. There was barely ANY polio amongst my generation as we were vaccinated against it. AIDS hadn't arrived, that came much later. EVERY generation has good and bad times....His hatred of older people STINKS...quite frankly.
