thats pretty much the entire Sans Battle in a nutshell, Sure, hes killing you, but in your mind, all you need is just that little bit more EXP and Chara's Got Control.

I love how in the Sans/Chara versions it's upbeat and they're singing happily meaning that they're happy to be killing each other whereas Frisk is singing like a sad ballad. Beautiful detail! ♥️🖤💙
Incorrect. Chara Was being controlled by the player and was forced to watch their loved ones die. She was only that way because the player forced them to. They thought you did it for a reason which made them like that, but you were only doing it for fun as you can see at the end of the game.

Only player choose kill or not monster. So only player can be murderer, show to Chara their family and friends dying and command to Frisk kill all. But remix is great.
The problem is, Chara did NOTHING wrong. During the genocide route, YOU told Chara these things. YOU made Chara like this. I don’t think this is Chara’s choice whatsoever. (This is why I’m a Chara supporter) Edit: It's been a year since I wrote this, I'll update you with my opinion. I STILL don't believe that Chara did it, but I don't believe that they're FULLY innocent either, same goes for Frisk. The *player* caused this.

Incorrect. Chara Was being controlled by the player and was forced to watch their loved ones die. She was only that way because the player forced them to. They thought you did it for a reason which made them like that, but you were only doing it for fun as you can see at the end of the game.

I see both of these as different versions of the way the geno player thanks, and not particularly the way either frisk or Chara are feeling. Sans even mentions at one point that you clearly don’t want to do this, and he’s right. The genocide route is basically getting rid of everything that Undertale is, in the pursuit of… what? Of seeing what happens. You may be stronger than him, but that begs the question: which part of you will win out? The desire to see everything, or the desire to do what’s right? Only you can decide.
