I've thought about considering using it, but i haven't cuz i felt that it wasn't going to deal much damage, since TF2 has that mechanic of damage increase as you continuously hit a player.
idea: Make the soldier a returning character for skits that tries to get his revenge on Joey but instead messes up and embarrassing himself each and every time.
With the powers of Big Joey’s Stand, *_TOMISLAV DELUXE_* , he can make any Heavy Main fall to their knees and beg for forgiveness by giving and infinite supply of Sandviches
I use the Dalokos bar with my Bread Bite. You just take a bite, run most of the way there, take another bite and you're good to go. The health buff from the chocolate negates some of the health drain of the GRU/bread bite. I use all the miniguns but secondary and melee slots are nearly always those. The combo is just too good if used wisely. You don't really even have to wait for your health to recover all the way anyway. There are times when you definitely do, but not every time.
I'm definitely gonna start using these tricks, great vid. Watching you inspired me to become a heavy main a couple years back and has recently inspired me to start making heavy strategy videos of my own in the near future. Keep at it, Joey!
@@dobosito7963 those are all old chemistry stuff from my time in high school. I'm planning on learning to edit, then redoing them and making new ones alongside TF2 stuff and whatnot
Frankium Ah I see. Well I hope it turns out great. I sent a video to one of my friends since they enjoy chem and all that. I hope to be playing in a pub with you soon!
I just wanna say, in regards to damage surfing- one time as pyro, a soldier landed a rocket on me, and instead of the normal being rocket-oofed, I ended up accidentally surfing the damage, and since I was right next to a tall fence, was able to move the little bit necessary to go onto the fence as I fell- and so then the soldier retreated, and I was able to rush him out of nowhere from above. Idk, I just thought it was a pretty cool, unexpected situation.
Tip: On attack, it's best to try and flank the enemy than letting your medic uber you. Heavy is slow and ubering classes like demo or soldier is just far more effective. Plus, due to heavy being such a damage magnet, you're also forcing your medic to heal you and not your teammates. In my experience, a good tactic is to equip the shotgun and flank them. Once you're behind them, rev up and start firing. This forces them to split their attention between dealing with the fully revved heavy behind, or with your team about to do a push. Even if you die, your very existence forced some of the enemy team to leave the choke, allowing your team to more effectively push through. The shotgun is surprisingly good against roamers. You can jump to avoid direct hits from pills and rockets. You can jump and make it harder for spies to trickstab you. You can deal significant burst-damage against scouts trying to kill you by going in and out of cover. You can shoot and chip damage snipers, causing them to flinch, lowering the chances of you getting headshot even further. Plus, most flank routes have tons of health on them, making your sandvich kinda redundant. Good example being Upward. Fat-scout is surprisingly effective if you play him like a Phlog pyro with permanent crits.
The sandvich voice line cancel may not always work if the enemy have captions on as they’ll know that the heavy that they were shooting at before has retreated and is eating a sandvich
3:22 damn you know thats a seriously effect tip. i mean i remember seeing something to say spys revolver has that 1st perfect shot with a brief cooldown. but never knew it effected the minigun as well
I am very late to the party, but as a seasoned veteran Heavy main, there is a hidden downside of the minigun that makes it so your gun starts off with 30% wider spread and 50% less damage that gradually ramps up to normal over time. The trick to winning duels with a higher success rate is to instead of holding down M2 when you suspect someone is behind a corner, you hold down M1 so by the time they've peaked you're already at maximum spread and damage. This is especially helpful against enemy Heavies and drastically improves your chances of winning fights.
The first tip is even more useful when somebody on the enemy team is using BearHud. From experience, whenever somebody is usinf that hud, instead of hearing the "om nom nom, nom nom", theyll hear, VERY loudly: "BOY THIS SANDWICH SURE IS YUMMY!!". So thats why the sandvich voiceline cancel is cool.
You can “food bait” as any class, I use it a lot, because as other classes you can call medic and stop shooting and run behind a corner which will bait the enemy to think you’re hurt! Pulling out the sandvich AND calling medic is even better to ensure that you got that pesky soldier on your hook!

Steak rushing is a really interesting idea but why should I use it if GRU just exist?

Steak just needs to last longer, maybe until the melee weapon is unequipped.
