Anybody can get on a well produced beat and shout upwards of 2 to 3 words and "rap" about inane shit, but the people who spend years pouring effort and research into the craft gets disrespected and sometimes overlooked. And before anyone goes "oh, so the lyrical rappers are just jealous", no, that is not the case in the slightest. These rappers are trying to establish a precedent so that rap music isn't trivialized into becoming this thing that anyone can just do with the right beat. That's why there's so many of the Lil 'X' clones that all bite off of the same formula. It's the difference between instant ramen and the authentic japanese ramen that takes 12 hours to make.

hard dissagree. Gawne had a cool and novel flow and some interesting rhyme schemes but his verse lacked substance, it was more of a string of disconnected thoughts. Futuristic on the other hand had a simpler smother flow, which isnt as technically impressive but i would argue is just as valid sonicly. and his verse was a cohesive piece painting a positive message.
Sabrina Barton CRYPT released a full album a few months ago called TALES FROM THE CRYPT. It was fire🔥🔥🔥 CRYPT is amazing because he always got something going on. He has features on a lot of artists songs. He is awesome with production and can break down any song and never miss the bars. Rap fast, rhyme a lot of similar sounding words, slap in some"big" words and words no One uses commonly to "seem" lyrical. The goats found a delicate balance between similes, metaphors, wordplay. slow, medium, fast flow. Knowing when do to do away with all the gimmicks and be real. Some songs require you to resonate more than "impress". Some times a slow flow is better suited. This isnt good rap.
Tom McDonald wasn't the first person who got fed up with mumble rap, then made a song about it. Don't get me wrong, what Tom said is facts, but he wasn't the first one by a long shot.

Ever since then, I can't listen to anything Mac. I'll admit his verse on this song..good shit, but ever since he backtracked..I can't stand anything with him.

Rap fast, rhyme a lot of similar sounding words, slap in some"big" words and words no One uses commonly to "seem" lyrical. The goats found a delicate balance between similes, metaphors, wordplay. slow, medium, fast flow. Knowing when do to do away with all the gimmicks and be real. Some songs require you to resonate more than "impress". Some times a slow flow is better suited. This isnt good rap.
