Well, Laura & Jonas & the little one on the way, I think your channel will bring joy to many of the people following Martijn - and some in the comments here have already confirmed it. I've always been impressed by what you are accomplishing, where you are trying to accomplish it and the pacing. Even the fact that you are not on a strict upload schedule releasing videos I find a positive. This platform is great and it is amazing how it can bring people together. But for creators it can also become a chore, stressful and alter your experience and life by constantly making you think of where you could point the camera. Never let it dictate your life. Share when you find the time to share, share what you want to share. That is at least how I perceive what you are doing and I think that works well with how you have named your channel. I like how the fires are built upside down so to speak. The normal way is to start with kindling like small twigs and leaves on the bottom with larger and larger pieces of wood stacked on top of them as the fire burns "upwards" but these are built with the larger pieces on the bottom with the kindling on top so they burn "downwards" which burn for much longer. Ingenious.
Glad to be along for the ride Johannes. It's silly to be concerned for a couple of chickens on a mountainside in Italy when so many are on the grocery shelves here in plastic wrap, but none the less, we are. We need more connections with other species in this way, to be more considerate of life on Earth in general.

Your rapid-fire enunciation extends to several languages with fascinating fluency. I reminds me of a woman I met years ago in Venice. She ran the front desk at a guest house I stayed at for several days. She could turn her head in mid sentence and resume in another of five languages. I would have watched the whole burning if you had posted it. The Good Lord moved Martjin to post his fire a few days ago. 🎉 I’m on meds which have made it hard to sleep lately. That video was such a blessing, I was watching it 3am and that kept me from crawling out of my skin that night.
I actually 'met' you before i found Martijn. You had a visit from a film-team, including two lovely children. I think you suggested they pay a visit to your new neighbor nearby. When I much later found Martijn's videos, I realized this was 'your neighbor'. It is a joy seeing what good neighbors you have become! Very much appreciate both of you sharing your videos, allowing us a little insight to your lives! A solo Dutch woman doing a whole house renovation in Sweden (and started about 6 months before Martijn) is Roaming Wild Rosie--and she doesn't even have a vehicle except for her bicycle. You guys live a most spiritual connection to a spectacular part of the world. You speaking out to people, appreciating that people are struggling everyday to live their life as best as they can. I live in north Louisiana, I love growing things and building, and am an artist of oil painting and stained glass. My mom from Resgensburg named Kreszenz, which I learned recently that means “the growing”. She had a very hard life here in the states. She was a rock that my father broke hisself on. As he was a very sick alcoholic.

Since I discovered Martin, I have also been following this channel. I dreamed of a similar series of films made by you, the first one exceeded my wildest expectations. The reflection at the end is still stuck in my head, and I watched the episode itself twice. My friend and I will send a donation tomorrow, but as per your recommendation, I will not binge all the videos. :) I'm glad the chickens are under your care!

I like how the fires are built upside down so to speak. The normal way is to start with kindling like small twigs and leaves on the bottom with larger and larger pieces of wood stacked on top of them as the fire burns "upwards" but these are built with the larger pieces on the bottom with the kindling on top so they burn "downwards" which burn for much longer. Ingenious.

Glad to be along for the ride Johannes. It's silly to be concerned for a couple of chickens on a mountainside in Italy when so many are on the grocery shelves here in plastic wrap, but none the less, we are. We need more connections with other species in this way, to be more considerate of life on Earth in general.

Your rapid-fire enunciation extends to several languages with fascinating fluency. I reminds me of a woman I met years ago in Venice. She ran the front desk at a guest house I stayed at for several days. She could turn her head in mid sentence and resume in another of five languages. It makes me wish I had been more attentive in the language classes all those years ago. Thanks.

I would have watched the whole burning if you had posted it. The Good Lord moved Martjin to post his fire a few days ago. 🎉 I’m on meds which have made it hard to sleep lately. That video was such a blessing, I was watching it 3am and that kept me from crawling out of my skin that night.
I actually 'met' you before i found Martijn. You had a visit from a film-team, including two lovely children. I think you suggested they pay a visit to your new neighbor nearby. When I much later found Martijn's videos, I realized this was 'your neighbor'. It is a joy seeing what good neighbors you have become! Very much appreciate both of you sharing your videos, allowing us a little insight to your lives! A solo Dutch woman doing a whole house renovation in Sweden (and started about 6 months before Martijn) is Roaming Wild Rosie--and she doesn't even have a vehicle except for her bicycle. It seems there are hundreds of folks now doing it.

You guys live a most spiritual connection to a spectacular part of the world. You speaking out to people, appreciating that people are struggling everyday to live their life as best as they can. I live in north Louisiana, I love growing things and building, and am an artist of oil painting and stained glass. My mom from Resgensburg named Kreszenz, which I learned recently that means “the growing”. She had a very hard life here in the states. She was a rock that my father broke hisself on. As he was a very sick alcoholic.

I also understand very few words of German or Italian, but found myself listening to your voice in those languages. If you ever have spare minutes record your own audio books.
