    Hi mate love your reviews, can you review the Serengeti boron cat 3 gold lens with tortoise acetate surround? They are marketed towards drivers so it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on how the photochromatic lens would work with that model.

    One thing to consider is the narrow 13mm bridge so that could be a fit issue for those with larger noses.
    Cheers

    I have a Concorde CR234 and love them. But I really like the lens colour of Serengeti. The slightly curved bridge link on Seregneti looks sharp but the lens shape on Concorde looks a bit better. Now I am thinking if i should stick with Concorde or go for Carrara small.

    I think the larger looks great and I think you are able to pull it off. If it measures in at 59mm, most standard sizes in sunglasses are around 58mm, so that's would on be only a difference of 1mm.

    I have exactly the same problem with Ray Ban Aviators. The 58-14 size is way too small on my face so ordered the 62-14 and they're huge. I know, sucks. 😅

    I used to be all for Serengeti but now i find their quality is severely lacking and their styles are rather boring. As i've told you already, you should review some lesser-known, premium brands (McLaren, Bentley, Mykita, just to name a few...).

      Would you care to elaborate on exactly what you feel their (Serengeti) quality issues are? Also, do you have an opinion on the Persol brand?

      @@oldwaltonian2476 Be my pleasure. When i say that Serengeti sunglasses are lacking in quality i am mostly referring to their frames, especially the all-metal ones: i've seen instances where the paint was chipping off right after a month or so on an otherwise brand-new pair. I've read that their "ultra thin glass lenses" are prone to cracking too, which isn't exactly what i'd want to see on a $300+ pair of shades. Lastly, the hinges are weak, IMO.
      That said, the lenses are still fairly good, though i've only had experience with their 555nm lenses and i cannot speak for the other varieties.
      As for Persol, i don't really think much of the brand at all - it's just a fashion brand that happens to be this popular ever since Steve Mcqueen wore a pair, but other than that it's just a sub-par Luxottica-owned product with little to no real value whatsoever.

      @@oldwaltonian2476 Now it's your turn Sir: might i ask what do you think of the Revo brand and, more broadly, which eyewear brand would you say has the best optics?

    • @wadsworth2351
      @wadsworth2351 Год назад

      @@oldwaltonian2476 Also, i should add that though Serengeti sunglasses of the last decade were still decently-made, especially their "premium metal" collection, now that production has been moved entirely to Italy the quality's really gone downhill, and by the looks of it it's only going to get worse...

      Annoyingly, I have just seen that the longish reply which I posted yesterday in response to your three comments appears to have been deleted by RUclips. I've no idea why but if you happen to see this one, many thanks again for responding to my previous questions and the information was much appreciated.

    Hey. Have you ever tried the green lenses from Serengeti? I have similar hair color to you and wasn't sure if it just didn't go as good as the brown shades you are always rocking.
    I had a Serengeti names Pergusa and love them but they broke. 61-18-125. 8 bend. Bolle is offering a percent off since they don't make the pergusa anymore. Wasn't sure if you had a favorite Serengeti that you could run in and what not.

    I have the Serengeti Panarea 24hr Le Mans Edition 8488. Wondering if they are the same as the Carrara since they have the same dimensions.
