The deluxe has actually given me a greater appreciation for cmfygl thematically, and stylistically. My theory is that what a day was supposed to be hot wind blows and stuntman was going to be juggernaut and sorry not sorry was going to be the outro, which isn’t a very far fetched idea. The rest of the songs could really fit in any place in between on the original album. Another idea is that this was supposed to be that bossa nova/jazz album, but Tyler felt like this was better for now since he hadn’t released golf le fleur yet, Whcih a bossa nova theme fits.
