I think Cherry Bomb is was misunderstood at its release and as time goes on it will be regarded as one of his most important albums. He plants the seeds in that project that sprout flowerboy and Igor. It was a bold and defining move to drop a project that left field after the undeniable success Wolf had. Has a lot of flaws, but I truly believe that it’s Tyler’s most unapologetically Tyler Album. Wolf grows up into Call Me, Flowerboy grows up into Igor, Bastard Grows up into Cherrybomb.
@@styrofoamcow6996 exactly my thoughts as well. Some tier lists have the better the thing the more left it is and that’s what I think should’ve been done
He puts light to decents 8s in B tier. Anything higher than that he puts in A or S. He gave drake's If You're Reading This... mixtape a light 8 and he put it in B tier
It’s interesting seeing the progression of Tyler’s albums, from hardcore albums like Bastard and Goblin, then Wolf acts like a transitional phrase, then flower boy and Igor are very soft spoken, finally call me if you get lost is a mix of all of that. And those are all the albums,I didn’t forget to mention any albums,100% not
as much as i love Flower Boy and Igor, i think the way all his ideas and styles throughout his discography culminated in CMIYGL makes it my favorite. If you want Cherry Bomb it's there, if you want some Wolf mixed with Igor you got it, if you want some lyrics responding and retaliating people like Goblin (with an OF member btw) you just gotta hit play
Production wise I also think Wolf was great I dont get Anthony saying the production and rapping style lacked on that project for what he was intending to do with it. You got tracks like Jamba, Rusty, Answer, Lone, Pigs etc where he was snapping and the production accounted for it. Idk Wolf my favourite project personally because its everything I love about Tyler. Not dismissing the others but Wolf holds a connection (I guess you could say emotional lol) but I still also appreciate its meticulousness.
CMIYGL deserves an A on the strength of the raps & beats alone imo. Arguably the best of his discography. I also think Bastard deserves B tier for tracks like VCR, French, Seven, Pigs Fly, etc. *Very* unique, innovative production and lyrics from an 18 year old Baby T.
I loved wolf. It’s probably not even my most favorite album of his he’s put out but it was the most enjoyable/interesting from start to finish off the first listen
It's my favorite album by him but I grew up listening to Tyler and haven't listened to any of his stuff after flower boy so I can't really say. But wolf is one of my favorite albums ever so idk
Cherry Bomb is high on my list because it served as his testing ground for much of what he's done since. So many of the instrumental passages in songs like 2SEATER or FIND YOUR WINGS are influential in his sound today. I do agree with the idea that there are a lot of half-baked ideas on there and some clear misses, but those hits (including SMUCKERS) were carried over into Flower Boy, IGOR, and Call Me if You Get Lost.
You can literally make the same argument with wolf or odd future’s self-titled. Cherry bomb is mid and even like Fantano said, fucking young shouldn’t have ever been a song
Wolf deserve a B, imo. And CMIYGL deserved an A, coming with that after IGOR is brave and full of meaning. I loved OF days, I loooove when Tyler goes hard
So CMIYGL is actually B tier? Damn, was expecting it to go in A with FB after all lol Also coming back to this, i still think Fantano is at last partially wrong about Cherry Bomb, there's not one dull moment in that album, i don't care how much you can dislike the "mixing", but some of the production on CB is unmatched in levels of quality, every track is unique. I agree on the idea of Cherry Bomb being Tyler's transition into what he's done now, and especially with Flower Boy coming out later, but it still deserves credit where credit is due.
I'd put CMIYGL in a strong B/Light A level, maybe leaning more to the A-tier mainly for how it feels like a great compilation of all the best parts of his prior albums, but otherwise, I agree with this list.
Tyler is one of my favorite artists working today. I love any artist who isn't afraid to change and grow. I love all his albums but my top 3 in order are Igor, Flower Boy, and Call Me if You Get Lost is definitely my favorite. I can't wait to see where Tyler goes next cause as soon as you think you have him figured out he throws everyone another curve ball. It's so exciting to watch him work. Here's hoping the Grammys give CMIYGL the recognition it deserves.
CMIYGL is pretty great so far and I think it will age extremely well, so I’d say it could be in A Tier with Flower Boy and move Wolf to B. (Soft spot for Wolf since I started listening there)
Imo, i love call me if you get lost as well as igor but i love tylers more aggressive rap and i also loved the instrumentation of flowerboy. Hearing the production of flower boy peeking through and the story telling of igor with the aggressiveness of goblin just made it perfect for me. I love it so much and its an easy 10 for me. My top three album of tylers are 1. Wolf (10/10) 2. Igor (9/10) 3. CMIYGL/FlowerBoy (interchangable depending on my mood but they both radiate about an 8-9)
It's like tyler on flower boy skipped the pretty good "B" and sat comfortably in really good "A" But then yk he went back to fill the pretty good column on call me
WOLF in C-tier is sacrilege my great Melon Lord, it may not be perfect but it's better than Bastard by a country mile, imo. The number of dud tracks on Bastard alone...
Honestly I used to be on the Igor-best train but my eyes have been opened yall, Flower Boy is the best Tyler album. Sure it's not as tight or streamlined as Igor, but I feel like that actually works to its benefit. It makes it feel more thoughtful, meditative, more of a world to step into and just exist in through all its slumps, much like say, The Beatles' white album. I like Igor but it doesn't really give me that same feeling.
I disagree: CMIYGL is the best album for me but I really don't want to argue why. I agree with the fact that Igor CLEARLY isn't the best album from him
I really agree with that, Flower Boy is the type of album you can sort of lose yourself into. IGOR was impressively cohesive, conceptually and thematically. But I still felt “outside” of it, like I was looking in to Tyler’s world. With Flower Boy, I was absorbed into it. Kind of hard to describe
I completely agree. I can keep coming back to flower boy and it’s so fresh every time I hear it. I like other albums but I don’t think they’ll have the same repeatability flower boy has for me
Make one on gorillaz, I'd be interested in your take of demon days. It was a great concept album from damon about his reflection of his fame and the world around him losing its innocence Fav songs from each album btw: Debut Album: Clint Eastwood Demon Days: Dirty Harry/Feel Good Inc Plastic Beach: Some Kind of Nature/Superfast Jellyfish The Fall: Bobby in Phoenix Humanz: Let me out The Now Now: Humility/Lake Zurich Song Machine(Season 1): Momentary Bliss
this is almost my exact tier list. IGOR will be hard to top for me, but I love CMIYGL, even more than I enjoyed Flower Boy. I'd give both an A though. I might put Wolf in the B category but those are about the only differences.
He’s so artistic, most of his albums are A and S tier to me if we’re talking in terms of all music IGOR and CMIYGL are S, Flower Boy and Wolf are A, Cherry Bomb is B, and the other 2 are probably C and D
since Tyler's first four albums out of seven are generally considered to be "a different era", im very interested in what will drop in 2023 (presumably) for Tyler and what comes after, like many people i wasnt a Tyler fan until Flowerboy except for being a fan of Yonkers but now im just very excited and eagerly anticipating his releases since theyre always creative elaborate and show dedication
Thanks for hanging out with me yesterday Anthony, you can go home now please stop standing outside my window it was chill at first but now it's getting creepy

Call me if you get lost is his most balanced album, Flower Boy is his redemption arc album, & Igor is his best album
CMIYGL should’ve been in A for sure smh, at least in my opinion. Even you gave it an 8
I think he puts 8s in B tier
@@jdg5209 I know that’s why I commented it should be in A because flower boy is in A
I see where your coming from but I kinda agree with Fantano, flower boy edges it out a little, in my opinion they both deserve A tier
Tyler will go down as one of the most important, influential, and great artists of this era.
greatest*
Are u high?
@@bdimess most greatest artist

And most artistic
Flower Boy was a great switch in Tyler’s career and will always be a great album to listen to.
Man, one day Cherry Bomb will get its flowers 😔

Wolf is my all time favorite but that’s largely in part to the emotional connection I have to it. Flower Boy is his best imo
I agreee
There are more than 6500 languages in the world. And the one you choose to speak was facts. Flower boy is goated, and I like wolf too.
Yes. The nostalgia I get and period of my life/memories I have tied to Wolf and Cherry Bomb make them my favorites
wolf is my fave too for nostalgia purposes
Can’t really disagree with this. Personally I would move Flower Boy up to S, CMIYGL to A, and Wolf to B
My thoughts exactly, there's just something special about Flower Boy that makes it a masterpiece for me.
Flowerboy change my life for real
This is a far more correct opinion
also cherrybomb little bit higher, e is to harsh
@@fartdog2 its really bad...
Bro rates Cherry bomb E tier, but is a deathgrips stan
I loved wolf. It’s probably not even my most favorite album of his he’s put out but it was the most enjoyable/interesting from start to finish off the first listen
It's my favorite album by him but I grew up listening to Tyler and haven't listened to any of his stuff after flower boy so I can't really say. But wolf is one of my favorite albums ever so idk
flower boy and wolf are s tier
Fantano: * clearly has his tiers divided by rows *
Fantano: *I'll put it in the D column*
Cherry Bomb is high on my list because it served as his testing ground for much of what he's done since. So many of the instrumental passages in songs like 2SEATER or FIND YOUR WINGS are influential in his sound today. I do agree with the idea that there are a lot of half-baked ideas on there and some clear misses, but those hits (including SMUCKERS) were carried over into Flower Boy, IGOR, and Call Me if You Get Lost.
Shut up mini Fantano
Yes, but the album is so bad overall ugh
You can literally make the same argument with wolf or odd future’s self-titled. Cherry bomb is mid and even like Fantano said, fucking young shouldn’t have ever been a song
@@JuliusKinderis somebody placed too much pepper in there omelette this morning
I think Buffalo is one of his most underrated songa ever. That beat is crazy and experimental af.
Cherry bomb is so overhated it's legitimately criminal and cruel

Tyler is a man in his own lane, doing shit his way, and continuing to be himself
GOTTA RESPECT HIS LEVEL OF PROGRESS/GROWTH
PROGRESS/GROWTH is gonna be the next track 10
Lime Juice no it’s gonna be “I LIKE/WHITE BOYS”
Melon, I understand how disappointing it is that Cherry Bomb isnt an actual explosive, but that still doesn't warrant a D tier placement
He put it in E lmao
anthony why did you rate every single ridge wallet instead of ranking T’s albums??
Wolf deserve a B, imo.
And CMIYGL deserved an A, coming with that after IGOR is brave and full of meaning. I loved OF days, I loooove when Tyler goes hard
Man, I can't wait for Doug Walker to make his version of Igor
I shouldn't have chuckled as much as I did
So CMIYGL is actually B tier?
Damn, was expecting it to go in A with FB after all lol
Also coming back to this, i still think Fantano is at last partially wrong about Cherry Bomb, there's not one dull moment in that album, i don't care how much you can dislike the "mixing", but some of the production on CB is unmatched in levels of quality, every track is unique.
Ultra based red pilled B tier LIVE WITH IT, but sure you can put it in SS tier in whatever deluded list you have

(Soft spot for Wolf since I started listening there)
I don't understand how he put cherry bomb in E and Igor in S
Imo, i love call me if you get lost as well as igor but i love tylers more aggressive rap and i also loved the instrumentation of flowerboy. Hearing the production of flower boy peeking through and the story telling of igor with the aggressiveness of goblin just made it perfect for me. I love it so much and its an easy 10 for me. My top three album of tylers are
1. Wolf (10/10)
2. Igor (9/10)
3. CMIYGL/FlowerBoy (interchangable depending on my mood but they both radiate about an 8-9)
Anthony you can’t put all his albums in the N tier just because he’s black
Oh my fucking God I hate you all, take my like

I'm going to hell for laughing at this

Anthony you already made a tier list, it’s your reviews. This video had nothing to do with Tyler’s music but your views in supporting communism.
It's like tyler on flower boy skipped the pretty good "B" and sat comfortably in really good "A"
But then yk he went back to fill the pretty good column on call me
cherry bomb exploded itself so flowerboy, igor, and call me can thrive
We need The Cure, The Smiths, or Pink Floyd next please!!
Dare I say New Order even.

CMIYGL just falls short of S tier IMO, and it’s a stronger A than Flower Boy. Only thing I’d change.
IGOR was very relatable for me so I didn't have that problem, it's my fav
I completely agree. I can keep coming back to flower boy and it’s so fresh every time I hear it. I like other albums but I don’t think they’ll have the same repeatability flower boy has for me
