idk why, but to me its just crazy to see all these different people. Knowing they are all real, living their own lives, doing something everyday. Its just weird to think about how much is going on around us in this world and yet we only really know things for what is around us. I don't really know how to explain it, but i watch this video every other month and it just makes me sit and thing how amazing the world is.
It's the awe you get from realizing how fucking insignificant we are. Miniscule, microscopic blips in time. I find it so empowering, reminds me to try and take it easy....it's not the end of the world haha.

Lost my dad to COVID in November, the day before my birthday. Today was one of those mornings when I felt myself falling apart. Found this, played it, and cried uncontrollably. I'm grateful for every moment spent with daddy, most grateful I was allowed to be with him, to hold his hand as he transitioned. This piece is like a picture frame to my final moments with him. Thank you. 💚

I feel like I already hit the rock bottom, I have the feeling that I might end myself anytime soon. But watching this made me appreciate the life more, my past experiences doesn't define me in my present self. There are so many things that I haven't experience and I am much willing to wait and see it happen.

There's something about these moments in time that stuck with me. A beautiful mountain view, an oddly colored building, a nice dog that came to say hi, a modified car. They all seemed so mundane, but I remember them clear as day, because in that moment I was filled with joy. This video really helped me remember those great things I've seen. The great moments I've spent with family and friends, but also reminds me that I have so SO much more to see.

This really makes you appreciate how diverse and magical the world we live on is. The video captures beautiful scenes that are just so different from each other landscape wise yet all of it is on the same planet ( i know this is obvious but sometimes you get used to seeing the same places over and over again and forget how crazy beautiful the other places of the world are :) ). this music made me cry so hard.I saw the old me trying hard to understand why bad things keeps on happenning to me but then I realize that everything that ive been thru were just an introduction of the reality. Now I'm thankful for learning life is not about posession but an appreciation of each little things.

This song always relaxes me and allows me to clear my mind. Listening to this while driving, floating in a pool on a warm day or even while doing nothing at all it becomes easier to appreciate all the blessings God gives that go unnoticed. Life gets in the way of that sometimes.
I felt like dying today. Watching this video makes me sad and happy because there is so much that I haven’t experienced. To travel, see the world and to learn about new culture was my dream. It still is. It now feels like a lost dream because I attached it to someone I loved and now they are gone. They get to see the UK and all the cool places before graduation because they are in a position where they can travel and come back to a full time job. Meanwhile, I am stuck in school. Going back home is hard bc of COVID. Suddenly all the dreams didn’t make sense anymore because it has been a while since I traveled, and since I was hoping to travel the world with someone. There’s a piece of Vietnam in this video, my hometown. Hope to come back home soon, and hope to be brave enough to travel the world and keep on living.
update: here a year later. funny how I came here without remembering I commented this last year. I searched for this song because I was in a good mood. I am now at peace, and so much happier. just wanted to tell me 9 months ago that it will be alright!!!

I dont know about that. This is Incredibly moving and all his music is interesting. However I wonder if we try to categorize it, we might be cheapening it. People are human and jazz is music, let's just call it music. Not fusion or Latin or afro-Cuban or dixieland, Chicago, New York, L.A. or "smooth" just music. Just because there are no vocals doesn't mean its jazz. Jazz is the word for mystery music. (Frank Zappa said that)
I'm glad someone is making these sounds they're beautiful. Additionally, your children deserve to hear this music all music not just what is foisted upon us. Support the arts in schools. Do you know how many books and musical instruments could be bought with a fraction of the money most schools spend on athletics. I find and donate instruments to a local school who needs the help. I play this stuff and pass stuff out as a way of opening people's minds.

it's 2 am, and i'm thinking of french music and breakfast
i've written multiple poems now and my eyes are starting to close
music was always something i felt
poems just putting the words where the tunes didn't catch
so i figured maybe if i mixed the two
