Matt you killed that long pour, and from a bottle that's not easy to pour from to begin with. Love me some 1792 small batch, good proof, great taste and at a good price to boot.
I love 1792 small batch. It's a solid sipper on my days off if I want something simple and sweet with a decent amount of flavor. These budget reviews are awsome Matt! Keep them coming! Cheers!
1792 is probably the top whiskey I recommend to people and I’ve never got a bad review. Also very excited to say I got a full proof store pick and is by far the best bottle I have for the price.
Loving the videos, Old and new! Surprised you had not tried it before. One of the first four bottles I bought on my bourbon journey. Very good starter whiskey for me and led me to more of their product at higher proofs.
1792 is a solid whiskey. I believe it’s a Barton product. The first expression I ever had was the Ridgemont Reserve. It’s by far the best 1792 I’ve had but I’ve never seen it since. I do enjoy the small batch as well though.
I believe Disturbing Interlude is actually the name of Matt’s garage band. These videos are nothing but a series of rather disturbing but harmless and ultimately humorous interludes.
I don’t like it fits corked but it get so much better and after yo go back to it after some months I’m on my 3rd bottle toward the last pours it gets to be my go to unlike some bourbons which get kind if flat after opening for awhile
It's funny I have yet to buy the small batch but I have a single barrel and full proof, I love the full proof but the single barrel I have I do not like and that's after a month of being opened. That's how some singles barrels can go though but now I got to get a small batch.
i was late to the game on this one as well. something about the name and design of the bottle just never drew my attention. i have come to realize that was a mistake as this is very good stuff although the price seems to be creeping up quickly and i can no longer get this for less than mid 30ish
Yea, even though the bottle design is really cool the labeling doesn't draw you in. It was one of my first bottles and I love it. Their BiB is rarely spoken of and not easy to find but insanely good. Cheers!
I think you're ADHD kicked in a little bit hahaha it's so funny because you absolutely remind me of myself, it's fun to watch cuz we all like ourselves
New to Bourbon, but I do have 1792 Small Batch that I like. Question Matt, you gave the Bourbon a 7.8. Do you have a place where all of you ratings are logged? Enjoy you Channel.
I thought it was nice and fruity if only we could get a full proof version .but normally here in australia its going 80ish so i rather just get the rarebreed for 89 and plus that cork let me down..it looked metal and heavy but no not like the masters keep corks .but i did want 2 find another bottle purley cause i heard there may be a bottle shape design change in future but anyways thanks for your review .cheers i wish u a good day or night
Matt, give it a month or three, and that bottle will turn into a red fruit bomb, in the best way possible. EVERY single person I've shared this bottle with said, "HOLY FCK, I GOTTA GO BUY SOME OF THAT!" It's a poor man's eagle rare but on every shelf. SSHHHHH, don't tell anyone!
I tracked down a bottle of Eagle Rare because of all the hype (paid MSRP) and also bought a fifth of the 1792 SB while I was there. The nose on the Eagle is very pleasant (grape/cherry like), but it has no finish. It just fades out. On the other hand, 1792 gives a nice kick on the back end and is pleasant throughout. if I'm going to spend $30, I'd rather have the 1792.
I kept hearing about this and finally purchased it. It’s meh, to me. It’s ok, not bad, not great. Shoot, I’ll take my ECSB from Costco for $20 all day long before this one.
Matt you killed that long pour, and from a bottle that's not easy to pour from to begin with. Love me some 1792 small batch, good proof, great taste and at a good price to boot.
You sir are the John Goodman of whiskey tasting very enjoyable review of 1792 thank you
It’s got a lingering warm mouth feel that’s comforting on a cool evening
1792 is one of my favorites..always available here in Western Pa.
Been a fan for quite a while now ,that and WT 101 are my two always go too.
I love 1792 small batch. It's a solid sipper on my days off if I want something simple and sweet with a decent amount of flavor. These budget reviews are awsome Matt! Keep them coming! Cheers!
Are there any bourbons that don't fall into that catagory? Lol. When do you reach for the one that doesn't have a decent amount of flavor?
I get a cherry sugar note on Barton products that I have had. Like Cherry Fun Dip. Love it. My favorite $30 bourbon currently.
1792 is probably the top whiskey I recommend to people and I’ve never got a bad review. Also very excited to say I got a full proof store pick and is by far the best bottle I have for the price.
Love full proof 1792!
Great review as always! I tried 1792 when I was just getting into bourbon and didn't care for it then but it may be time to revisit it now.
It still taste cheap. You are not missing much.
I LOVE your approach to breaking down bourbon. Please keep it up ✨
Just had it two nights ago. Love it as a regular sipper.
man listen they make a smoke old fashion at a cigar lounge in columbus ga. top freakin notch. and 1792 is a top seller in the area
Just picked up some 1792 small batch on a whim. It’s fantastic for the price. For roughly the same price as makers mark it’s good juice
Spot on review of a nice daily pour bourbon. An a Sazerac product I don’t get frustrated looking for.
I was absolutely surprised, big time value
$26 at my local Safeway on sale! This is the best low-buck bourbon in my collection and it is GOOD!
Small batch is on sale for 20.99 at the local grocery store this week…
I appreciate everything about this video thank you good sir
Just bought my first bottle today...im very happy with my money spent
Dam it Matt good too see you back!
Nice review Matt great job. Sippin 1792 at this moment!
Matt’s dulcet tones echoing through eternity. You smooth singing devil 😈
Great stuff Matt-the whiskey and the review. It’s our typical decanter bourbon around the house and tends to surprise folks quite a bit.
This is a great everyday drinker! I love buying the 1.75 and they evaporate!
Loved this review!! Very good entry level bourbon. It went far beyond my expectations. Looking forward to trying the rest of the line up.
I’ve had a bottle in my cabinet for quite a while, but I still haven’t opened it…it might be time!
Just drink it!
@@craigellis2479 you’re not the boss of me!
You’re awesome! Thanks Matt
Quickly my go to for quality and comical bourbon reviews 🍻
Loving the videos, Old and new! Surprised you had not tried it before. One of the first four bottles I bought on my bourbon journey. Very good starter whiskey for me and led me to more of their product at higher proofs.
Small batch, single barrel, BiB, and Full Proof are amazing pours.
Haha…great review..I’m sipping a glass now and it is truly an easy one and very good for the money 😊
I grab the 1792 single barrel and is always fantastic.
This is smooth for the proof love it’s flavors
Matt I want to buy some Glencairn glasses with ADHD Whiskey on it! Or the glasses you use to get that twirl!
lol bro you the man. Keep the reviews coming 🤜🏼
HAHAHA... love when you sing Bro! :) LOVE this Bourbon - what a Value!
Hi Matt, I like this stuff very well, I have always a bottle in my shelf. Thanks for the great review. 👍
Greetings from Germany. 😁
I have never had it either, the Paul Masson brandy bottle was just not appealing to me, but now after this I gotta try it.
I did the exact same thing for years. Finally bought 1 an it is good juice
Man, I’ve missed the shlammered serenading!!
Baking spice is my favorite spice girl. Great review. Cheers!
Great daily!
I feel like I am going to drop this bottle when i hold mine. Im very carefull with mine, but this guy Matt LOL. 1:32
What does condensed banana bread even smell like.
I had a temperature of 95 once. I felt like death and I really like this bourbon.
Body of the Gods!😅
Agree, great pour for the price. To bad I can’t find any of there other offerings here in California.
1792 is a solid whiskey. I believe it’s a Barton product. The first expression I ever had was the Ridgemont Reserve. It’s by far the best 1792 I’ve had but I’ve never seen it since. I do enjoy the small batch as well though.
I had Bookers first and then a good pour of 1792 to help wash it all down. For the money 1792 is an excellent bourbon.
1792 small batch is great, I got it for $24.99. I seem to like 90 to 101 proof the most
When I bought it previously I didn't care for it and put it off my lists - but your review makes me want to retry.
Maybe I was out of my mind.
You weren't.
Maybe the bib
Tones and iMatty. Let's do it all again! AWESOME
Though Mr. Jim Murray and I don’t always see eye to eye, the full proof is pretty incredible. Small batch, for the price, is also pretty solid.
From your former Bib review, which is better?
The cork poppin merca got me lol!
Knob number 9 is better but it's a good switch up for sure.
Indeedy ... You Are The Poster Child Of A Bourban Loving Man Bod 🏋♂️
Hmmmm...a rather disturbing interlude starting at 1:58. 😳 Other than that....a spot on review. Love 1792 Small Batch!! Cheers!
I come here for the musical performances.
I believe Disturbing Interlude is actually the name of Matt’s garage band. These videos are nothing but a series of rather disturbing but harmless and ultimately humorous interludes.
You gotta try the 1792 Full Proof. Thats my Jam. Mid $40's and worth every penny in my mouth.
I’m mid 40’s and worth every penny…..
My favorite I have found so far.
Try the full proof. That’s would really be your jam.
the dance money rendition got you the video like from me buddy lol
The 12 yr is my favorite out the whole lineup but honestly cant go wrong with any of them for state minimum
It is really good.
You may not like it but Matt Porter is what peak performance looks like!
Matt … Have ya tried a full proof store pick?
Yep! Have had a few
I don’t like it fits corked but it get so much better and after yo go back to it after some months I’m on my 3rd bottle toward the last pours it gets to be my go to unlike some bourbons which get kind if flat after opening for awhile
Methink the James wrote this post laaaate in the night. 😄😉
Matt when does your album release?
It's funny I have yet to buy the small batch but I have a single barrel and full proof, I love the full proof but the single barrel I have I do not like and that's after a month of being opened. That's how some singles barrels can go though but now I got to get a small batch.
You made me laugh...therfore I subscribed...🥃
Nailed it!

Thought we were gonna get another Jay-Z performance there for a second!
Matt... you are a national treasure
Im keeping a bottle of 1792 Small Batch on my shelf just because you said it looks like breast implant. Totally made my day. Cheers
Its good stuff imo
I think you're ADHD kicked in a little bit hahaha it's so funny because you absolutely remind me of myself, it's fun to watch cuz we all like ourselves
That long pour tho...
😆
Nailed it
I love your content Matt...would love to have a drink with you some day. Stay classy
New to Bourbon, but I do have 1792 Small Batch that I like. Question Matt, you gave the Bourbon a 7.8. Do you have a place where all of you ratings are logged? Enjoy you Channel.
Link is in the video description
Subscribed so I won't get run over by a non-running 2001 Corolla with 1792 Small Batch in the trunk
Smart!
Wife: "this guy sounds like he's reading a bed time story"
Me: "Matt is a bed time story"
Love it!
5:41 😂😂😂😂😂

HecksYeah! 1792!
1792 damn right David did! : )

25k!!!
7.8 is fair...
Barton is one of my favorite Distillers
Get this man a BIB please 🙏

Cheers to not getting ran over today
If there'd been a Baking Spice I would've married her. Brash Spice not so much.
I kept hearing about this and finally purchased it. It’s meh, to me. It’s ok, not bad, not great. Shoot, I’ll take my ECSB from Costco for $20 all day long before this one.
I didn't like it either, flat and flavorless to me. I can get knob creek for the same price.
Baking Spice could never get into the slinky little outfits that the rest of her sisters wore so she was kicked out of the group.
Take a look at that😂
Great to see you recover from the illness, Matt!
This was shot beforehand but thank you!
Lol... You look like the "Dance for Me" actor(ress)
1792 small batch or Elijah Craig small batch?
Now I see why the ADHD whiskey guy
I retitle this one as Adam Sandler meets the Spice Girls.
