Love your Christmas layout and all the tips you shared on adding more photos. You mentioned your forever albums, which would make a great video, how do you start, and how many page protectors do you add to the albums. Do you move layouts from album to album as you create them? Inquiring minds want to know 😉
Love this layout Erin…my husband caught part of your video and said “what Christmas already”, which I replied…”the best time of the year”! Lol I can’t wait to do Christmas layouts!
Forgot---I thought that so cute that you forgot the journaling--How often do we all do something like that? I like the techniques of adding a flip-flap to the flip-flap.
I love that we have traditional Christmas colors this year. Such a beautiful layout and I'm all about using lots of pictures. I have the Canon Selphy got it for Christmas last year and with all your videos on your Epson so wish I had that one instead. I'm missing the 6x12 flip flaps and so are my customers. I rarely sell the 8x12 so hoping the 6x12 will come back it was so much more versatile.
I rarely use the 8x12 Flip Flaps myself but not having the 6x12 will definitely challenge me to use them more. I know the Canon Selphy is a popular printer too, it is nice and portable!
Thanks for sharing this layout and the flip flaps and page protector, my daughter and I went on a trip to Spain, France and Italy and I have a lot of pictures that I am scrap booking and I started using the flip flaps and the 3x4 and 4x4 page inserts, and they have helped me so much to be able to put a lot of pictures on my pages. Thanks so much Erin I totally enjoyed this video today, I look forward to each week to see what your going to do next. enjoyed this video.
Beautiful layout, as always, Erin! I channelled you the other day when I used doilies AND a tag. I was stuck and literally said out loud, "What would Erin do?" My husband looked at me sideways (his desk is next to mine). 😂😂😂 It is posted in the maker group if you want to see it! I also miss the 6x12 flip flaps...they were fantastic. I only have a few left and it makes me sad. 😭
Hi Robin, your husband must have found that amusing. I’m glad the tips are helpful for you when creating! You can’t go wrong with doilies and tags. The 6x12 Flip Flaps will be missed but it will challenge me to use my stack of 8x12 😃
Traditional Christmas colors are my favorite too. This is a great, versatile layout. Perfect for any holiday layouts or vacations when you have tons of pictures!
Yes I agree, great for vacation layouts. I was thinking how well it would work for a trip to a botanical garden. You could have the subjects pictured in the larger photos then all the beautiful flower photos in the square photos.
I bought those doily dies!! Best purchase ever!!! They cut well with my platinum 6 - using my 6x6 pattern papers that are kind of busy is the perfect outcome for subtle color on a layout!!
I love your layout! Someday I will invest in that picture mate printer! It is so hard to plan out pages when you have to choose your sizes beforehand and have them sent to you!
Yes I agree, you can crop photos after they are printed but it doesn't always work out so well, much easier to print them smaller. Put the printer on your Christmas wish list 😃
Great tips for multiple photos! I’m starting to use the flip flaps more. The pocket page protectors are perfect for those vacation and holiday photos when you have lots of special photos❤❤
Lovely pages. I would love one of you ladies to do a connected story as I imagine that most of you have Stacy Julian's book on story telling & show people how they can increase the photos of their layout using her technique of adding several extra pages into the centre of your double page by using a theme, or maybe just by using photos of the occasion.
You are soooo good. Thank you for all your suggestions! I have lots of photos on certain projects and used at least three double page layouts. I know, not good. Love the flip flaps and the inserts! Thanks!
Beautiful Christmas layout. Love how you added all your photos on the examples you shared. ♥️ Thank you for for your process videos. Always look forward to them. ☺️
Love Flip Flaps - they have been such a game changer for me. Thank you Erin, it's from you that I first learned about them. So many of my past layouts have lots of photos or I've got multiple pages of the same event. Flip Flaps have really improved the look and design of my layouts and cut back the need for so many pages of the same event. There's a part of me that wants to go back to my pre Flip Flap layouts and redo them😳
I am so glad you enjoyed the video. I use Post bound albums from CTMH, Stampin' Up is currently carrying them and you can see them here www.stampinup.com/products/my-legacy-post-bound-album-black?demoid=2297233
Gorgeous page & great tips. I need to watch your videos about printing your own photos. The journal card you used - How hard would it be to trim down the border to make it a little thinner? Also is there a process video for the 8x12 flip flap layout from the Coliseum?
Hello there! I think you could trim down the border on the journaling card to make it a bit smaller if you'd like, definitely doable. I do have a video for the Roman Colosseum layout, here is the link ruclips.net/video/nlfjWdFJLNY/видео.htmlsi=v1Yumuxz2gm5X1VK
Love this layout! Perfect for multiple photos which I typically have for Christmas. Is there a place we can screenshot or find the layout? I like to keep pictures of layouts that inspire me.
Thank you and I’m glad it’s an idea you can use. I do share my still shots on IG and Facebook. Sometimes I’m a bit slow getting them over to Pinterest but you can find them there also. All the links to my social media sights are in the description box of the videos.
I use CTMH’s 12x12 post bound My Legacy album in black faux leather. I know black might be a little boring but I can always find a black album so they look nice and uniform on my shelves. You can see them here erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Category.aspx?CatalogID=307
How do you get your pictures to print so clear. I have the Epson picture mate, I have an iPhone 14 and photos set in the best quality. Do you happen to use Lightroom?
Hello, I do not use Lightroom, I rarely do any editing aside from cropping photos. Occasionally I will lighten the photos if they came out too dark but I just use the editing tools in my iPhone.
I too, scrapbooked my sons girlfriend into our family albums. She was very much a part of our family and also went on vacations with us. Then they broke up. Bitterly. Now his current wife isn't pleased to come across those pictures, and my son hates them. It's all very sad.
I know what you mean Laurie…my son and his wife separated and I didn’t know what to do with their album. I keep ongoing (yearly) albums and it hurt my heart! I decided to breakup the album and put layouts in their children’s albums…so sad
@hamidadougherty9495 YES! Our son in law, who had been with our family for 10 years, and loved as our own son, suddenly walked out on our daughter for another woman, he had only JUST met! Unbelievable. That was 3 years ago. Still have photos of him all over the place. I'm not the type to go cutting an individual out of photos. But it is hard to enjoy the albums anymore, given the pain he inflicted on the whole family.
My Epson printer keeps putting black ink streaks on top. IT’s second Epson that’s done that. Epson replaced the first one that did the same thing. XP-7100 Expression Premium. I’ll never buy an Expression again.
One idea to utilize both sides would be to let the pattern be your background and scrapbook on both sides. This would probably be a little easier to do with Christmas papers or another event where you have lots of photos to document in a series.
I am new to CTMH. I like a certain weight of paper. Have you ever made a video of the thickness of the paper? Or the weight of paper. I’ve watched hours of your videos and it’s not something I’ve heard you talk about.
That is a great question! No I haven’t directly referred to the paper weights but the white daisy cardstock is 80lb cover weight (215 gsm) colored cardstock is 65lbs (175 gsm) and the patterned papers are 100lb text weight (150 gsm)
Love your Christmas layout and all the tips you shared on adding more photos. You mentioned your forever albums, which would make a great video, how do you start, and how many page protectors do you add to the albums. Do you move layouts from album to album as you create them? I’m brand new to scrapbooking, so this was extremely useful. I’m now a new subscriber. Love how you teach. Thank you. 🙋🏼♀️😁🇨🇦
You really are a great teacher. Thanks for talking about how to add more photos!
Thank you Paula, I appreciate that and hope the ideas were inspiring.
Love this layout Erin…my husband caught part of your video and said “what Christmas already”, which I replied…”the best time of the year”! Lol
I can’t wait to do Christmas layouts!
Haha, I know, Christmas does seem to sneak up on us quickly doesn’t it?
Thank you for sharing how to use the flip-flaps and how to get the most pictures into a layout!! Liked & shared
Thank you Kathy! Flip Flaps are definitely a staple in my craft room.
Love the pages and the bling! I like printing the smaller sizes also. Very pretty collection. TFS
Thank you, printing smaller sizes really did make a big difference in my layouts.
@@CraftyConceptswithErin mine too! And I can get more pics on a page without the crowded feeling
Thank you for showing all the ways to use flip-flaps!!! Some great ideas there.
Forgot---I thought that so cute that you forgot the journaling--How often do we all do something like that? I like the techniques of adding a flip-flap to the flip-flap.
Thank you, they are so handy and definitely a craft room staple!

enjoyed this video.
Such a lovely layout as always. These are such wonderful family memories.
Thank you so much, it’s always fun to look back and reminisce.
I absolutely loved this video. I tend to be a multiphoto, double-page scrapbooker so this video gave me tons of ideas! ❤
I'm so glad you were inspired! This is a great sketch to incorporate lots of photos.
Gorgeous layout Erin! I had to buy the doily die on my last order😁
Thank you! You will love the doily die, definitely one I use over and over again and will never part with.
Beautiful layout, as always, Erin! I channelled you the other day when I used doilies AND a tag. I was stuck and literally said out loud, "What would Erin do?" Very pretty. Getting me excited about Christmas.
Me too!! I’m working on another Christmas layout as we speak.
Fabulous layout and loved seeing those additional layouts again 😍
Thanks so much! 😊 I get excited every time I get to look at my Italy layouts, I can't wait to finish that album.
I like how you share the love in your family (both human and fur) by telling the stories behind the photos!❤
Thank you Sherry, I am glad you enjoy the stories!
I think it's so pretty it would be so nice to do a birthday layout this was as well
Thank you, it is a design I know I will use again.
Hey Erin! Thank you for the demo ideas of several pictures on a layout! I felt like you made the video just for me! 😊
You are very welcome and I hope it was helpful!
Loved the layout plus the info on all the flip flaps. Love to use them. Christmas traditional colors are my favorite and
this one is so pretty❣️
Thank you! Yes these colors make me happy and are a joy to create Christmas layouts with. I am glad you enjoy them too.
I bought those doily dies!! Best purchase ever!!! They cut well with my platinum 6 - using my 6x6 pattern papers that are kind of busy is the perfect outcome for subtle color on a layout!!
I am so glad you love them! They are so nice and I don't think I will ever get tired of using them.
I love this layout, going to scrap lift it for my pumpkin patch photos, as I have tons of them. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are very welcome! I am so glad it is a layout design you can use. I always end up with a lot of pumpkin patch photos too. Happy crafting!
All the layouts are amazing and great tip for adding more photos ❤
Thank you, it is a great layout when there are a whole lot of photos to add to the page!
Thanks for all the great options! I always have way too many photos to use!
You are very welcome and I hope this gave you a few ideas to try. You are not alone in having a lot of photos you'd want to include.
Great ideas - always learn something new from your videos!
Thank you Mary, I hope you saw some fun ideas to try.
I love your layout! Someday I will invest in that picture mate printer! It is so hard to plan out pages when you have to choose your sizes beforehand and have them sent to you!

I love all your layouts and ideas!
Thank you so much, I am so glad!
Erin, another great layout.
Thank you! I love being able to incorporate so many photos onto one layout.
Great tips for multiple photos! I’m starting to use the flip flaps more. The pocket page protectors are perfect for those vacation and holiday photos when you have lots of special photos❤❤
Thank you and I agree, they are perfect for vacation layouts!
So many good ideas. Love your layout.
Thanks so much Melissa! It felt nice to get all these random photos documented.
Lovely pages. I think Chelsey has a few albums like that, and it is really neat. I think I might like to try that method for a vacation album.
Love your layouts and just got flip flaps, so now I'm very anxious to use them.
Thank you and have fun with your Flip Flaps!
You are soooo good. Thank you for all your suggestions! I have lots of photos on certain projects and used at least three double page layouts. I know, not good. Love the flip flaps and the inserts! Thanks!
Thank you! It’s okay if it takes you several pages to get your story told. Getting the photos in the album is the most important factor.
Love your layouts!
Beautiful Christmas layout. Love how you added all your photos on the examples you shared. ♥️
Thank you for for your process videos. Always look forward to them. ☺️
Thank you Tracy, Flip Flaps and printing smaller photos has really been a game changer for me.
I love the CDT Days of December sketchbook from last year! Any chance there will be a new one for 2023?! Please!!!
I am so glad to here that! Stay tuned, we will be releasing it very soon 😃

Loved this video Erin! Your Christmas layout turned out beautiful
Thank you so much, it is a very pretty collection!
This video was so helpful, thank you!! Could you please tell me what type of album you use?
I am so glad you enjoyed the video. I use Post bound albums from CTMH, Stampin' Up is currently carrying them and you can see them here www.stampinup.com/products/my-legacy-post-bound-album-black?demoid=2297233

gorgeous collection. Do you know if there are any stockists for CTMH in the UK please? Thanks for the inspiration :D
Hello Jane, I am so sorry to say CTMH does not sell outside of the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. I do hope that will change one day soon.
Great video. What album do you use?
I use CTMH’s 12x12 post bound My Legacy album in black faux leather. I know black might be a little boring but I can always find a black album so they look nice and uniform on my shelves. You can see them here erinjacobson.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Category.aspx?CatalogID=307

Is the Design Team's 8-1/2 x 11 Sketch book still available (I already have the Christmas one)?
Hi Diane, yes it is! You can find the sketchbook here www.cdtcreatives.com/shop/p/cdt-85x11-sketch-book
I signed up for the 31 days of cards but haven't received any information on the Facebook site
Hi Mary, you should have received an email. I will see if they can send it again. I’m so glad you are joining us!
Do you ever show layouts using 5x7 photos?
Hello, I do not use 5x7's very often but here is one idea ruclips.net/video/xO2t8qvnrd0/видео.htmlsi=ypkxC3228KWxJvZN

Oh no, that is terrible! I have had so many Epson printers and never experienced that.
Does anyone think that double sided prints on a single page is a waste?
One idea to utilize both sides would be to let the pattern be your background and scrapbook on both sides. This would probably be a little easier to do with Christmas papers or another event where you have lots of photos to document in a series.
