    Voice level/Music level is a little bit too low. It makes music a distraction to me.

      Yes I know. It was one of my first videos and I didn't know better. Unfortunately RUclips doesn't let you replace it.

      that's what i was just thinking...too loud and in vids like this is better not to have bckg music at all.

      Why do RUclipsrs insist on barring music out when we just want to listen to the information?

    I enjoyed Ms Alison speaking, but not the background music. Difficult to concentrate.

    Hi Ms Alison thanks for a nicely done video. One problem I have in photos is it sorts the photos by the date of file which is sometimes different than the date picture was taken. Do you know of any way to sort by date taken which is in file details? Thanks

    • @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189
      @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189  Год назад +1

      Hi there! Yes this can be really annpying. I recommend (and teach) people how to use Adobe Lightroom Classic to sort their photos chronologically. It does the best job of picking the date taken (as oppose to all the other dates attached to a digital file). But sometimes due to how our photos are saved, dates are just problematic.

    why do you have this backup music?

  • @yf1177
    @yf1177 8 месяцев назад +1

    This is exactly what I do; good to know that I'm not the only one:) The only issue is that if you store your photos and videos also on Google Drive, you generally have to pay extra for the storage space, whereas Google Photos doesn't count toward your storage limit (with some exceptions).

    • @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189
      @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189  20 дней назад

      Google Photos does count as storage now unfortunately. But yes if you use Google Drive and Google Photos you do double up. Wish they were still connected.

    HI Alison. If we have our photos in Google Photos, and I delete our photos from my gallery (android phone), will affect it the good photos already stored? Also we have Google Drive but we keep getting an error message everytime we try to upload photos from our gallery onto the Google Drive.
    Thank you.

      Hi Dibb - No, if the photo has been uploaded from your phone to Google Photos and you delete it from your phone, it should stay there. There is a setting in the App in Google Photos that you can check - It is called FREE UP SPACE. I am not sure about what is going on with Google Drive. I just did this myself and it worked. Is it a space issue?

    Is it possible to sync photos from phone to google drive not google photos.
    Or maybe a better option is moving photos manually from google photos to drive but it is also not available.
    Is there a trick to do this?

    • @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189
      @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189  Год назад +1

      Hi Serhan - I wish you could do this but Google's automatic backup sends all photos to Google Photos and you don't have a choice. Google Drive and Google Photos used to be connected but they disconnected them a few years ago sadly. You can manually backup your photos to Google Drive or set up syncing on your computer. But to get photos from Google Photos to Google Drive you have to download them from Google Photos and then upload to Google Drive as far as I know. Totally silly if you ask me!

    Is there a way i can upload all my folders from google drive to google photos?
    Also if my photos are all organised in google drive , uploading on google photos will be an extra backup place ?

    • @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189
      @thememorycuratorwithalliso8189  Год назад

      Hi Naila - Unfortunately Google Photos and Google Drive are separate. They used to be connected but Google ended that a few years ago. They do share the same storage under Google One though. So while it would kind of be an extra backup place, I don't think I would recommend it because you are using the same service. Plus you would be paying for double the storage on Google. It would be better to pick a different backup service if you want to have two cloud backups.

    I can't concentrate on what you are saying. The music is too loud. I would remove completely the music. I hate when there's music and voice at the same time. But here, it is very anoying, the content seems interesting and i can't understand because of the music!

    Wow, great info, thanks BUT *incredibly* distracting music, I had to stop listening (sorry!). Music does not help informational videos in my estimation, it just makes it harder to concentrate on what is being said. You seem to do nice, informative videos but I would gently suggest considering dropping background music entirely. I doubt it adds anything useful. (Thanks for the info in the video, though , as far as i was able to stick with it!)
