Awesome man! glad you were able to save a few bucks. it's a good unit and i would put it ahead of a lot of the 200-300 dollar range fish finders out there. One thing to keep in mind is if you anticipate all day use via your phone, have something to charge your phone with. I got about 5 hours of use on my phone (max bright setting) before the battery on the PHONE went below 10%. No real issue but just something to keep in mind...

Wrong time of the year to fish Lafayette. I know that lake like the back of my head. Been fishing there since I could walk and have probably fished there over 300 times. Summer and spring are the best times to fish there. Drop shots and senkos works great by the tules. But there are tons of bass and giants in there. Check out some of my videos from there. I made a bunch when I was nailing them
When hours go by and I don't get a hit and a skunk might enter the picture, it is time pull out the big guns. I remove my footwear and swap my socks left to right, right to left. Then move items from my right pants pocket to my left and vice versa. That usually does the trick.
Fun to see my home lake on your video! I fish there every week; it's a high pressure fishery. In fact, ironically, my Deeper pro is at the bottom of that lake! I hooked it to that heavy mounting bar in March and was trying to connect the bar to my kayak when it slipped from my hand and down it went. The Deeper floats, but not when connected to mounting bar! This time of year, the only way I can find bass there was to use that Deeper. Now I'm outta luck!

Those pelicans are chasing trout being pushed around by cormorants. I see there’s a lot of people here who don’t think that place has a legit bass fishery? That’s because they don’t know how to fish it. It’s got a lot of quality fish there man. You should also give CL a shot in Antioch. Another high quality bass fishery.
Thanks for the video Greg. I'd be so stoked to see you fish Lexington Reservoir in the eastern Santa Cruz mountains, not too far from the Delta region. It has a lot of good offshore structure, and I'd love to see you break it down and figure it out. The whole reservoir is like one giant creek arm in a larger body of water. Keep up the good work man

You outa do a video using the deeper unit vs your graph. Just to see if both units marks the same fish, drop offs, structure,etc. A comparison between the two to see if it’s even worth it?

Well that rarely happens.. very helpful video because I was just wondering will my landing gear fit down the ramp at Lafayette, now I know. It’s 10 minutes from my house. It definitely can be tough at times. Caught my PB there though. Lol

Greg Blanchard haven’t fished it in awhile, usually there to jog so I can’t really tell u what they’re hitting, but yeah man about 3 years ago a guy pulled an 18lber outta there, even just jogging I’ll see monsters strolling the shallows, it can be a tough bite tho it’s a bit pressured
I still watch your videos because it’s real fishing not today we caught two ten pounders we’re going for a hundred pound bag it doesn’t work that way lol !!!
lol thanks man. today was a day i honestly was not thrilled in posting but thats how it goes sometimes and try to keep it real with you guys! slaying fish all the time would be great but it would take away that certain mystery aspect of fishing that is what I think keeps us coming back for more
If you catch one fish it’s like having a thousand pounds lifted off your shoulders, but some times that thousand pounds crushed you and you come out smelling like a skunk lol!!

Drag jigs at the west end of the lake.

There's 14lbers in there. I've seen em follow my baits up. Super smart, weary fish. My pb 6.6lber is from the shallow side of that res.
Lafayette is a tough place to fish. If I’m not doing well I usually fish around the main boat dock to avoid the skunk. Excited to try out Deeper!
haha, Brandon, I will say the best looking place was right around those docks. still had some healthy grass. probably should've just bank fished!

This time of the year i quit fishing put the rods and reels away and stay by the fire place and wait until march to get the rods and reels back out
